In connection with Catholicism And Mary …?
I have heard many people here complaining that we are Catholics regard Mary too, because she was "just a vessel that leads to Jesus.
You know what? I agree 100%. She was "just a ship." All they did was to Jesus.
The Ark of the Covenant was "only one ship, too. All he did was meet the 10 commandments. There is nothing special about it at all, just what in it. But what happens if someone touched him the wrong way, not showing proper respect? BAM! God killed them in the act!
So how to get God to show us that the ship carrying the 10 commandments enormous respect, but do not want to show the ship that carries 10 times the Lord respect?

Mary was prepared and selected for the Savior. Wow … is big business. The ship carrying the written Word of God is holy, as in the Ark (parent) that carries the living Word of God.

Sorry, I only have to think about the ark and I remebered a few things about him that is typlomatic Jesus and Jesus alone.

Personally, I think the Catholic devotion to Mary is a remnant of Pagan influences - fertility goddesses. No offense is meant by this.
Mary is dead and only Jesus can answer our prayers. Praying to Mary is idolatry.
He didn't say to pray to it.
Paul said to pray for me when he was alive and calling those who were alive to pray for him …. He didn't say I will pray for you after I'm dead. Saying to pray for the dead to pray for you.
