Injured why Catholic priests?
People do a lot of negative comments about priests without even thinking about it probably is not true. Is this with the black jokes and slurs in the 1960s?

Statements is an anti-Catholic prejudices of the few universally accepted in the United States, so it's not really surprising that people in this jump.
It is a case of a few bad apples spoil the whole barrel. I'm not a terribly religious person, but I believe most of the religious leaders who are good human beings who are trying to make a difference and help those less fortunate. So good for them. Unfortunately, few are those whose scandals have burned up the national headlines that cast a cloak around the suspicious group.
But this is much the same with other people who happen to fall into the media spotlight. Watch Larry Craig if he is gay or not, your little adventure was covered extensively by the media and the general view that two were left in the circus (1) troll all gay sex in public bathrooms and (2 ) all the politicians can not be trusted or believed. These are generalizations, and while there are people who do not fit the belief, for the most part, are exceptions to the rule.
What happens when a gay pride parade on television? Often the most outrageous, extreme and more "shocking" parade participants, and of course his conservative television-watching public will be summarily appalled. "Look at that! That's disgusting! "" Why are so extravagant? "" Why can not you just be normal? "Well, if not the largest show of gay people consisting of doctors, lawyers, waitresses , construction workers, bus drivers, management center, police, social workers, steel workers, sports figures, fishermen, electricians, engineers, coal miners, journalists, musicians, actors, government employees and many other ordinary people who help make the world go round, day after day (and I use "out" with the pun intended.)
Le Fille, I would not say that.Don not let the few spoil many.
Have not heard of jokes for years.
As a Catholic, I hear a lot of jokes! (It does not help that my priest has the surname Morrass.) But, despite its name hilariously ironic, he (and all the priests I've known!) Is a strong, wonderful, excellent member of the community, not hurt a fly. I believe the recklessness of some members of the clergy who almost ruined the rest. People have a tendency to exploit things out of proportion - especially things that do not understand.
People who preach have a special place in society and to better be able to live up to the quality you expect of others or the public has every right to take them to their size.
it must be done individually, if possible, but when many representatives of the church are not only breaking church rules themselves but for society and then you have to find a systemic cause.
whether the selection process is lacking or the demands of preisthood (ie, rules or guidance celebacy) are too restrictive.
people who make these comments are probably unaware of the statistics or have certain biases, or both. The percentage of priests who abuse children is 0.2, which is much lower than the percentage of drug addicts into society. Thus, a child has a greater chance of being molested by a family member (predominant perpetrators of sexual abuse) or family friend.
I am Catholic and I have a very good relationship with my father. However, the Catholic Church did something that no other institution on the planet has done. That they realized they had a group of child molesters, and it was decided was the right choice to protect them. I can not imagine how they thought this would be the winning bet. It boggles the mind. When you, as an institution to make an incredibly stupid decision, you have to wait to take some criticism.
