Is there a way to tell the difference? Please Answer Catholics.
Sometimes I just sit in silence and the most terrible sin which comes into my mind. I can not help but wonder is it the temptation of Satan, or if it was in my subconscious. I wonder if there is a way to distinguish the difference. We must confess our sins when we go to confession or should we let go. Yes, I am very serious.






What you describe is a temptation of Satan and thought that are in your subconscious. It is a sin if on purpose to stop these things and entertain sinful. If you sweep those thoughts of his conscious mind as quickly as possible, then you do not commit a sin by entertaining such thoughts.

If you do not weigh heavily in their hearts they really must confess.
