I am speaking as an ex-Catholic. Yes, the Virgin Mary was the mother of Christ and pray to Mary. is the prayer "Hail Mary full of grace … Jesus tells us to pray in this way … Our Father, who art in heaven, there is no mention of prayer to Mary or the saints, thats just WRONG. There are many things wrong with Catholic teaching. On the one hand, I do not think anyone should be submitted to the pope or kneel and kiss his ring freaking, which is against what God says. Also, I do not think anybody calling parents, except that I am the only Father in heaven, so do not call the parent or priest or pope holy father, that's ridiculous, and again, against what God says. I do not believe in confession to a priest, who do not have a 'private line' to heaven as I do.I was told as a child, if that do not go to church every Sunday I would go to hell when he died. Well, now I know that 'hell': the 'serious' (thanks to the correlation strongs) that do not bother me at all.I have learned 10 times more on the Bible since I left the church I learned at all number of years they attended church regularly. I could go on and on with more, but I do not, your question was about Mary and I think I did answer:)

Have you ever read the Catechism of the Catholic Church? Here is a good starting point for questions you may have about the Catholic faith, because obviously has some serious misunderstandings.
      1. Catholics to honor Mary, Mother of God. We ask your prayers, as other Christians asking for prayers.
      2. Catholics do not kneel in worship to the statues. The biblical commandment against bowing to severe image refers to the worship of heathen idols. That does not condemn the conduct of the statues or pictures. God repeatedly told the Jews to fashion images taxed.
      Peace be with you +

  3. PaulCyp says:

Since the Catholic Church compiled the Bible for their own use, it goes without saying that everything in the Bible is a reflection of Catholic beliefs and Catholic doctrine. Also needless to say that beliefs do not represent the Protestant biblical teaching, because the teachings of every Protestant denomination in conflict with the teachings of other denominations, the Bible and can not conflict with itself.

  4. Dakota Z says:

Yes we do bow down to Mary statues, but we do pray to Mary. Not that we do not worship Mary Mary is not God. However, all we honor Mary we give to Jesus. Mary does not have the honor we give to it and keep it for herself, but she gives it to Jesus. So when we honor Mary and pray to Mary we honor and glory to Jesus and to honor our Lord and our Mother, because the Ten Commandments says "Honor thy father and mother." I hope this helps.

Papa estatuas? Really. I am sure there must be one or some, but in all my years as a Catholic, I never once saw one or knelt before one.
Please learn the difference between reverence and worship. Then you will understand how Catholics regard Mary (yes, the mother of Jesus in the Bible), and the Pope on this matter.
I am no longer a Catholic and I do not condone or promote Catholicism, but I understand the difference.

There can be serious. Obviously you know nothing about the teaching of the Church which Christ founded on the promise of enduring truth. His church is the man these promises. Of course not.
Catholics do not practice idolatry and the Church prohibits the practice. We only worship God. Do not believe me, read the Catechism of the Catholic Church to find the truth about the Church's teaching. By the way, you will not find the truth of a fanatical anti-Catholic website.
The truth is that it is simply taking false witness against the Church of Christ. Repent of their sin, and sin no more. Catholics are not so stupid to believe that a statue is a God or the blessed mother of God is a God himself. Achieve!

  8. tina says:

We kneel out of respect and honor. We venerate Mary
Yes, it is the same Mary. If someone gave birth without having sex first, I think that deserves some honor!

  9. ZORRROOO says:

You can search and easily find the errors.
Mary Mother of Jesus is honored by the church and the Catholic faithful throughout the world.
We believe it is valid and that she was a virgin before and after Christ was born.
She shares his passion and death as well. Just as any mother would be concerned if your child was treated as badly as Jesus. Mothers suffer too.
kneeling in front of a stature or image reminds us of the person we are praying. We pray that Mary will take our prayers to Jesus. All our prayers to God, asking for a saint or the Virgin with Jesus to talk to us. All our prays en''ruega order for us.''
You can live as you want, but only Catholics pray to God the Father, His beloved Son and Holy Spirit. Do some brokers, we are free to do so, God wants us to pray through the angels and saints, and His Holy Mother.
Each family has a litany of family members who have died, if you kneel before her image, and pray for them or ask them to pray for you, your OKAY !!!!!

  10. Quailman says:

"This is the Mary of the Catholics as well as Mary of the Bible?"
No, actually the thought of Catholics are Mary, the sister of José </ sarcasm>
"If you are not in danger of Blashemy"
irrelevant, since the response to the first was yes.
'nor my praise to images taxed "
Good Catholics do not tax the use of images. An image is something that imposed worshiped as a god. Catholics are not worshiping the statue.
      "Are they all wrong?"
      No, knees, and not worship.
      "Look here:"
I did. It's like watching a child explain the reasons why the more intelligent than adults.
And FYI, the smart-alecky "can you see Jesus?" Comment is really stupid considering that the Pope is holding the cross which is proving to work in it, almost as if Christ was his shield or banner. It is a literal image, this is how the masses begin and end.
      "Look here"
I did. A quote out of context (which was in the middle of a sentence to mourn aloud), with more restaurants. If you really wanted to show that Catholics pray to Mary, who must cite where it says in the Catechism of the Catholic Church instead of an obscure Pope Quotes

I give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that this is a legitimate question.
Yes, Mary, who speak of Catholics is the same Mary that Orthodox Christians, Protestants and other Christians to speak.
Although you will see the Catholics (and Orthodox, Lutherans and others) kneeling before the statues of the Virgin, this is not the same as kneeling before an idol. This practice is nothing more or less idolatrous of attending a church with a cross on the building or above the altar.
Isaiah and Exodus - the two you mentioned - we speak specifically about the idols and pagan gods. The point is not bothered by worshiping false gods. In any case, it is a world apart Drom what you're asking for.
I would say that you will not get their information about Catholicism from jesus-is-saviour.com. Frankly, this is a paranoid, hatefull, cultists site. The only thing about all Christians, is its title. Even if you really like them, that would still be better to get your information from legitimate sources. They know about as much as Catholics did Jack Chick: not much.

So after a battle against the Catholic person links … if we are talking about the same …… Mary I do not watch your links … No need for almost all the same. … closed minds ….. Listen I also put links up there saying the opposite of you ….. But here's the deal …… All Christians are Catholics until about 500 years ago .. ALL celebrates Mass in the Eucharist and 7 … We ALL sacrements prayed to Mary for help. 500 years ago that some people had their own beliefs and could not believe in Christ could be …. the Eucharist, there are currently over 33,000 different Christian denominations in just 500 years .. but only one Catholic church in 2000 years. the rest are all branches of the Catholic Church …. You have no idea how wrong you really are … and they are paying the price for not believing in the divinity of Christ and receiving the Eucharist is … Read this passage below … Protestant Bible is in every … Including the Bible Jesus said that …
Johns Gospel .. what Jesus said "
" 'Truly, truly, I say unto you, he who believes has everlasting life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the desert and died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any one eats of this bread will live forever, and the bread that I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh. "The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying:" How can this man give us his flesh to eat? "Then Jesus said to them," Truly, truly, I say, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have in life, and who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is drink indeed "(John 6:47-55).
Or do you think should be canables? No .. in corsica no
On the night of the Last super … Jesus explained that the bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ.
      And then Paul elaborates
      ,
"To which I received from the Lord that you gave, the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, broke it and said, 'This is my flesh, which is given by you. Do this in memory of me ". In the same way also the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the blood of the new and everlasting covenant which is shed for you and for all so that the sin can be forgiven. Do this in remembrance of me. "For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, which proclaim the Lord's death until he comes" (1 Cor. 11:23-26).
"Whoever therefore eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy way to be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord" (1 Cor. 11:27). sense (without the mass liturgical and sacramental 7) and the absolution of sin
Note: ".. When Jesus did this, he uses a word in ancient Hebrew (Zanhach) .. (on the original script) means do tomorrow, as we have done today, so the past, present and future have not changed ….. we have translated into memory … but that means keep doing this every day so remember how, and never forget …….( our daily bread!) The Eucharist .. ..
Did you know that the Catholic Church is the only church that has mass Hmmmm …. Every day I wonder why?
Because the cult of Jesus and listen to what the Apostles said without thinking that they know better ….
