Please Christian Counseling.

Hello. As you can see from my other questions I am 16 years old born again Christian. Now I have a question for all Christians out there. I've been telling my dad about how I read my Bible every day and talk about Jesus in school. Now it says it wants to take me to church on Sunday. But it is a church that my parents have been born and with which I used to go to school there. I've read a lot online about how the Catholic Church does not teach everything in the Bible and how to do things like purgatory and worshiping people like Mary. Now is it right for me to go to a Catholic church? I mean it is true that Catholics do not fully follow the Bible? If it is true I do not want to go there. Please any answers would be much I can explain to my dad why I do not think a church is the place to go to worship God. Thank you

You are old enough to have a mature conversation with her father about the church you would like to attend. Before you start, but I like to learn about the Catholic church, although not from here because you do not know these people and you do not know how the information is reliable. Ask your father about Catholicism, or make an appointment with someone in the church. Most likely, given the literature, because there's so much to know. You may be wrong, for example, not worship Mary, but I think that is an intermediary who can represent you in heaven, and his Bible has more books in it, the books were later removed during the Reformation or by King James I can not remember. Anyway my point is to learn about Catholicism from reliable sources before making any decision that might cause a rupture in his family.
And sorry, I know you requested the Christians, but I am Buddhist / Atheist. My advice is still good and I hope it will not discard it just because of my beliefs.

You can try and tell him, try to get a good shepherd comes to talk to him, but the problem is that he is running on and that your father is to obey him, now once they are eighteen should stay as far away from there as possible. treated with respect and show him your concerns, but in submission to him, they will not challenge him.
If you're going to try to witness to the people there, they do not want you there soon. God bless you and I will be praying for you.

The Catholic Church is the Church that Jesus founded. The Bible and history testify to this fact. The Catholic Church also gave us the Bible. The Church collected, preserved and canonized the Bible. The teachings of the Catholic Church ever against the Bible. Go against the Catholic doctrine of the erroneous interpretation of the Bible by the Protestants.
You will have to decide if they want to be in a church that Jesus founded, or any of the 33,000 sects founded by men who claim to follow Jesus. But before making a decision, I suggest you study what the Church really teaches the Church. You should also study the history of Christianity. Do not believe the lies that the fight against Catholic are sharing websites.

  4. Thank You says:

Respect for their parents. When you're away from home and take care of yourself is free to worship anywhere.
Their job is to teach you and prepare for independence. It will not hurt to learn other religions compare. In reality it is important to understand all faiths and not just that you have chosen for you.
It's going to be better known in the faith of others.

open about his father who wants to show you all kinds of different things, if not then no Christian, but the book does not follow all the way to go is not so hypocritical and see what you think about what they think

k it isn't right to go to that church. cult to get married and tell them you do not want to go, and then find a Christian church and ask someone to take you if you're really well with their belief of their parents will take

this is a good question .. I think we should honor your parents .. that does not mean that there is some means, and that's what I know .. looking for a compromise that seeks to help you see different from the Church at the same time, for example, make a 50/50 .. half the time in the Catholic church, and also check some other churches with their parents .. I doubt their parents would be insulted in their wanting to look at spiritual matters between them even looking at other denominations. they are all Christians. . I agree that the Catholic Church is not the best church in the city, doctrinally, and not focusing on writing .. having been a former Roman Catholic 23 years born again I will say that the Catholic church on the street is not a bad thing .. simply do not help you grow a lot … said that there are true Christians in the Catholic church and Catholics and born-again .. but my advice would be to explore other options … sometimes in the way we ask, of course .. if you want to tell her father the whole church is going to burn in hell and your not going to go … you win, not be with them anywhere … worst case, you stay there and obey your parents until 18 or so, or having a car and then go where ever the Lord leads us to believe .. I see a chance to bring your family along and let them be introduced to different ways of worshiping God, peace …

His knowledge is correct. They follow the Bible completely. They believe that working ineeded to enter heaven. They believe in infant baptism, and not the baptism of the believer that the Bible teaches.
Alos repetitve who believe in prayer and worship and prayer for people other then God.
Take a look at a Bible believing church as a Baptist Church. You can find one on the web. Read what they believe in him and see what agrees with the Bible. Then your dad this father who is the church you want to see.
Congratulations on your decision. I'm 35 now and have been stored for 7 years.

The Catholic Church is the Church of Jesus Christ in 33AD. Everything that the Catholic Church teaches is biblical. The Catholic Church also compiled the Bible that are read from, unless the 7 books removed Protestants.
    Purgatory is also biblical
Daniel 12:2, Matthew 12:32, 1 Corinthians 3:13-15, 2 Timothy 1:16-18, Hebrews 12:14, Hebrews 12:22-23, 1 Peter 4:6 and Revelation 21:10, 27 all speak of Purgatory in their telling of the need of purification, prayer for the dead, the preaching of Christ to the dead, or how nothing unclean will see God.
The Catholic church is the Bible and Jesus all - - and we have the most Kickin 'around altar call - Holy Communion. Talk about getting up and coming down the aisle to the Lord. In fact, meet with him in the flesh when they hit the front.
What he read on the Internet is, probably, of all Catholics hate sites like Jack Chick, Jesus is Carm.org and El Salvador. Use legetimate sites and find the real truth about the church of Jesus Christ established.http: / / http://www.scripturecatholic.com/http://www.davidmacd.com/catholic/are_ca…http://www.catholicscomehome.org / … index.p http://www.fisheaters.com/

  11. KAL says:

I think that, as of 16 years, you are obligated in the eyes of God to obey their parents and honor their wishes. I think the only possible exception is if your parents asked you to do something against the will of God … and I do not think attending a Catholic church to qualify! Now if they want to force you to become a priest then I think it would be acceptable to oppose, but I do not think attending a church … even if you believe that the church is not entirely accurate in their perception of God. .. would qualify as a legitimate reason to go against the wishes of his father.
My father left the Catholic church when he was in his 20s, since according to the doctrine … and her mom when we visited (or visited it), we all attended mass with her … out of respect. My dad had no obligation to obey her … but still felt it was right in God's eyes for him to honor his faith, even if they do not share.
I note that you might be surprised what you find in a modern Catholic church … My impression was obviously biased against Catholicism and my first experience attending Mass with my grandmother who reinforces prejudices … but in recent years, I had the opportunity to attend a couple of Catholic churches with friends and a few have developed a close friendship with the Catholics and I believe that the situation in the Catholic Church has changed a bit.

  12. klby says:

The issue of principle is the subject of volumes of history — the differences between the Catholic and Protestant beliefs were raised Catholic beliefs — Catholics worship Jesus told me not the Bible!
The Bible is a multifaceted discourse of the history of most of the Jewish people, including Jesus Christ —- it is so diverse that many, many, many interpretations have been made which means a part or even said. One fact, however, is that Jesus Christ existed and he did the minister and Jews were subjected to the events mentioned in the Bible, no matter what version you should be a fad! I believe what the Catholic Church upholds and offers the most historically correct version, but I ask you to consider the truth of this story, because there are all the versions of what to me are stupid when you consider the suffering, fighting and dying that has taken place over tiny differences. Wars have been fought, and explored the continents in order to free people from the dominant belief in their countries of origin, and billions of sins committed in the name of Jesus!
As you get older, you will come to realize this — Christianity is not just "Holiness," but a lively industry that has been around a long, long time. Continue for a long, long time, but also in the future I doubt that the sale of indulgences that will never reach the national network of products has enjoyed over the eons!

  14. superpes says:

When Joseph and Mary found her son, Jesus in the temple talking with the elders there, Jesus did not argue or try to look smarter than the man he learned there. Asked frank, but very pointed questions that caused the elderly to wonder about the boy. Their questions made them think and do research. Many became his followers, even after his death, because only then realized that he was the Messiah.
We must always respect our elders, but they never disobey God. Abraham was with his father, Terah, who had many idols, until Terah died. Then, with the blessing of God, he struck out on his own to follow the one true God. Now I'm not saying you have to stay until their parents die, but at least until they are no longer a minor and can do on their own because their parents still have many good things to teach you. God will know when it's time to go.

  15. Petey says:

The most important thing for a Christian of the Catholic Church is to preach the same Jesus. The New Testament is exactly the same. It is the apocryphal books in the Old Testament which are added and is not considered acceptable as the Scripture is what the main difference is the gospel. Mary was a woman was blessed and holy. Mary does not save anyone in the Bible.
Maybe you can go there with their parents and be surprised by what Catholicism has to offer that day. Hopefully a good surprise.
After that, you might want to ask your father if he would not mind going with you to a Christian church. Sounds fair to me.

  16. robert says:

Mmmmmmmm …… and will teach the free Internet instead of the Church?
Well 16 years of born-again Christian, respect and honor your father and go to church with him. Maybe you'll find his father knowledge is much more intelligent than the sites that have been on.
Oh, and maybe you should show your father these websites you are accessing.
I am sure will be very disappointed by the findings that have come to on the Catholic faith.
How can you be a born-again Christian if your parents have gone to church since he born? Not always leave you at home?
Your question sounds like a fish, as a Catholic would have the whole family to church.
      Think about this ………
In addition to their great privilege of being the Mother of God, His Son, Mary was also the first disciple. She is often called a model or example of the church. Following his example, to walk with it through the Gospels and to reflect on their response to God in their lives.
      Think about this ………

  17. Jenster says:

Catholics continue to believe the Bible. Just as you may think you know the truth, so they do. There are many Christian denominations, each teaching of the Bible and the teaching of each different things.
As far as parents go to church, I think it is a wonderful idea. Which takes you closer together as a family, and give first-hand knowledge about what they think. No answer on YA is going to explain things really do not like going there. Besides, it sounds as if it was unusual to ask your dad. Sounds like you're trying to connect with you in some way and that by accepting your return.
Once again, even if you do not teach what you believe to be true, not only learn about the Catholics, but from their parents. It's a good thing. You do not have to believe in order to go, and he was not going to brainwash.
To know that I come from:
I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints aka LDS aka Mormon. 6 months I have attended meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses, many non-denomination of the candle-light services and foursquare Bautista several meetings (with my mother in law). Will never leave my church, but since I learned more about other beliefs and showed the same respect for their faith and I want to mine.

  18. question says:

Well let me ask you this. Does going to a church? may we suggest you go to her this week if it is next to hers. You see the Christian church are far from God themselves. All them. That's why God called him an abomination. or prostitutes or hookers.
through the centuries of translations of Egyptian aramiac from Hebrew to Greek to Latin to English philosaphy. words and meanings have been changed (some on purpose), some just because they do not have the language to translate the word is like the Christian Satan to.This controls through the errors, because they believe replacing words to change the thinking and meanings.
do your parents go to church regularly? Could you ask if you can visit different churches together just to see as what it is.
If you are a young Christian prayer in that regard. I am not referring to Jesus to help me.
kneel and potition God with all your heart. every day and every night until a STOP answer.DONT until you do. and if you sincerely seek him with all your heart and hope that their response do.He promise. Then everything will be clear and that you actually hear the spirit. then you will know the truth
for you and nobody will say again that more and more.

I think this is a case where you need to honor your parents. (Exodus 20:12)
While you may not feel that the Catholic Church is the "correct", that does not mean you can not attend their services. Might actually help extend the proverbial horizons in his life. (A good thing.)
Therefore, if it matters to their parents who should go. :]
P.S. I find it funny that people can be so grossly wrong when it comes to other religions. (Although some people are simply not true.)

How can any "Christian" to give this answer a thumbs down? Children grow up.

  20. CJ says:

Catholicism leads to eternal hell because it teaches a false gospel of works (Galatians 1:6-9). Avoided.
Catholicism can not save anyone. Only faith in Jesus alone saves.
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and reach heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell is by believing in faith alone that Jesus is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). And I believe you are saved, no matter what!
Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Thank you for eternal life! "You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. :)

  21. Smart @$$ says:

Tip: Talk to your dad and tell them you want to find the church is that you sit in agreeance with the true teachings of Christ. Brother, the additives contain names of men. Please avoid. Study your Bible in order to know what the true teachings of Christ are. You are still very young and is the church that is right for you.

    So are Catholics Chrsitians
but I must admit, there are some torque.
Frankly, I think I can confess my sins directly to Jesus rather than a man (priest)
You must be honest with your dad and bring the things you think are wrong and try to have a good healthy conversation.

Tell your dad you want to know more about the Bible then what the Catholic Church can offer.
