I am a convert, so I know both sides of the coin here. Ultimately what it really depends on the denomination. I was "raised in the United Church of Canada, which essentially denies the existence of hell and it took me to what would happen to an unrepentant murderer, etc., the pastor of the response was" There is something wrong with them that fixed in the sky. " Moreover, my best friend is Mennonite, and believe that they have always accepted Jesus into your heart will go to heaven, period - without it seems. None of us ever made any sense to me because it leaves too much unanswered in the Bible. If you really read the whole Gospel to a time and not just bits and pieces, so one of the many, many reasons why I converted. In the Bible even says that Jesus "descended to the dead before his resurrection. That in itself means that there is something between the earth and the body glorified body. Protestants seem to overlook certain parts of the Bible and to avoid addressing them. I think the reason is because it can lead to an answer that agrees with Catholicism, is a matter of pride - one of the greatest sins of all. If they agree on one simple point, it might make them rethink things, then had to start looking at the way he has misinterpreted other parts of the Bible, then it would have to admit that the Roman Catholic Church is the true Church Jesus Christ. :) God bless:)

The blood of Jesus washed away our sins, past, present and future. His sacrifice was sufficient to have forgiveness and enter into eternal life. If we trust Him as our Savior and Lord, that death to enter his presence and live with him forever. That is what the Bible teaches. Now about the good works. We are created in Christ Jesus to do good works. Just keeps the faith, the faith shown by our works (James). BTW I do not consider myself a card transport Protestant or Catholic. I am trusting in Jesus for my salvation and life for him, because I want and I will. Great question.

In the Bible (Romans 10: 9-10) "... if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved, for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confesses, resulting in the salvation. Therefore, by believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God came to earth, died on the cross to pay the debt for our sins and came back to life the third day to conquer death for us - we have forgiveness sin does not matter when to die. God offers salvation to all who accept it once and for all eternity. How do you know that your sin is not bad enough? God really important to make something up to chance? In the book of Romans in the Bible, all the way to salvation is presented. You can be sure that it will not just hope to heaven that has been good enough.

When we say we believe what the Bible says about sin. Firstly all have sinned, and the height of the glory of God. Not sure what you believe Jesus' sacrifice on Calvary, but here is what we believe. Jesus took all our sins upon himself during his scorging up on the cross. Before this ultimate sacrifice, that human beings had to make sacrifices of blood, usually once a year at the temple to atone for our sins, have no right to go directly to God with this sacrifice, but had to give a Levite priests who would go to great rituals through which clean enough to present sacrifices to God in the inner room behind the curtain. Once Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice, not mean you do not sin, it means that we have had to pay the price for sin. It is no longer necessary to sacrifice animals or longer have to use a "third party" to make the sacrifice for us. Now we have the new covenent, in force today. We came through the father to son, since they are all white as snow and sinless before him, if we come through the child. So, although still in sin every day, and we have no eternal death that awaits us for our sins. Jesus had done our dirty, white as snow before the father. If God looks, without the sacrifice of Jesus, all our sins would unatoned. Through Jesus, he sees us, pure and sinless. With the end sacrifise Jesus did not need to be "cleansed" as you put it, that the cleanup has been done for us by Jesus. There is no purgatory, if any, would be the sacrifice of Jesus unworthy or incomplete, and the Bible states that this sacrifice is for all of us and complete, or as the Bible says that "it is finished," There is no purgatory or exception cleanup after the fact. It's just finished completely.

have not heard of repentance? We take our sins directly to God for forgiveness rather than some priest who is as human as us and can do nothing for us. Why are you so obsessed with Protestant views anyway? Is it because you are insecure about their own? P.S. please can you live? Why not go to confess their almighty preist or something.

I try not to be subtitled in one category, but I am a member of a Southern Baptist church. We believe that through Jesus who is clean. We ask forgiveness of our sins through prayer and trust in Jesus to dry out. Jesus loves you.

Although I am not Christian, I was once a Protestant ... They believe that the alleged death of Jesus on the cross is cleared instantly die when all their sins. Basically, their belief is that through Jesus they can enter heaven.

We got the perfect justice of Christ, and He has fully paid for our sins so we need nothing more. Hebrews 10:14 For an offer that has perfected forever those who are sanctified.
