Not to be redundant, but it seems to answer his own question. I think it means asking for what has changed, not what has happened to her.
As I look back through history, much of Christianity (including Roman Catholic practices) have changed to appeal to a younger generation. Therefore, much of the pomp and circumstance that fifty years ago has faded into the background, but I fear that parishes that are still very traditional in their services.
A good friend of mine once told me that he expected a split between the Roman Church and the Church of America, mostly on matters of doctrine. What seems to have happened is the place to change the way the church conducts its services, but really have not detected any change in doctrine (again, I am not a Catholic, so this is the prospect of a strange).
You omit the fact that most "mass" of today are totally invalid because of defects in material, shape, and / or intent. And celebrated by priests who were ordained by invalid ordinal 1968.
Therefore, it is not secular consequece to make once-and that most of the priestly functions Catholic priests'' 'today are, in fact, they lay.
Catholic Mass can be celebrated in Latin (both Tridentine and Novus Ordo), if desired
The Mass has never been only in Latin, but it was in Greek, Aramaic, Old Church Slavic and other languages from the beginning
It was also the Mass of the different rites and customs (Byzantine, Maronite, Ambrosian, Mozarabic, etc.) and uses (Lyonnese, panties, etc.
The Mass is the Mass)
I agree. Is too much for my taste Protestant. However, the Mass is the Mass. That still has not changed.
And is not it wonderful that the Tridentine Mass is back?
Unfortunately I believe that all religions are changing. Tradition seems to be a thing of the past. The only thing that change was never thought that religion. But you know the old saying, "Nothing lasts forever."
What happened was the Second Vatican Council. You answered your own question in the first three words. What were all the rest of them?
<<Before Vatican altars II, to be used in every Catholic Church throughout the world are facing East, but now no more altars, but tables.>>
An "altar" is a "table".
<<the priest was no longer faces the tabernacle,, but faces people in the Protestant services.>>
There is nothing wrong with that. The custom of the priest facing away from the congregation came from the early centuries of Catholicism - when church services were held in the catacombs. Given the limited space, the priests used the coffins of martyred saints and the altar - again, given the layout of the catacombs - the priest was always in the coffin and the congregation. Therefore, the priest had to give back the congrgation every time you use the altar.
<<the Mass was exactly the same, no matter what country you are to.>>
Still is. A Catholic from anywhere in the world can travel to anywhere else in the world, attend a Catholic and still know exactly what was happening - despite the foreign language. This is how the masses are similar throughout the world.
<<The structure, shape, and language (Latin) of the Mass would be the same if he went to the United States, France, Italy, Spain or Portugal. Now, the language of the Mass was changed to the vernacular.>>
Once again, the structure is the same. The language is not, but so what? Do not you know that Latin is not used in church services until the fourth century? Before that, Masses were held in different as are today. At that time, church services are held mainly in Hebrew, Greek or Aramaic.
<<Before Vatican II, the priest was the one who performed all the functions of priests during the Mass, but now only the priest presides in the New Mass laity have come to the alarming and readings, administer communion, sometimes even preaching, which is what all Protestant services.>>
Single computer can read the Gospel clerics. Nothing wrong with other readings that speak for lay Catholics. The same applies to the administration of Holy Communion.
However, lay Catholics were never allowed to deliver a homily at the Mass I do not know where to one of the dead, but is wrong.
<<Sacred Gregorian chants were taken out of the Mass and replaced with modern music instruments, what Protestant services also do.>>
Gregorian chant, while it is pleasant, there is nothing that says "only" the Gregorian chant can be used at Mass in my area, the parishes have, in general adolescent Masses "in which small bands is incorportated. I can not say there is anything wrong with that, although I prefer traditional hymns.
<<What What happened to the Catholic Church and It's Mass?>>
Not as much as you think.
If you are Catholic and trusted that the church is or has made these decisions inspired by God and for the sake of man than you should be able to trust God in him and still love the church.
Im just going to say simply that, as in any church, if the trust that is where God has put you and trust that God is using the church, whether large or small that you support the work of God in him.
None of the things that you raise or changed by Vatican II or dehumanize people are a source of evil. I respect what they are doing enough for a church not a lack of respect that I call home.
Religion has become more accessible to everyone. If the changes get more people involved in the ritual of the mass, then I do not see why it's not a good thing.
Oh, I do not think there is anything wrong with the Protestants.
I absolutely hate evil cancerous Catholic religion and the Pope disgusting … the richest man in the world while millions are hungry and … and every time there is no god …. CRIMINAL .. ABSOLUTELY!
What is wrong with changing times? They are losing like crazy as he is a member. People are coming, if you can not relate.
Because they have seen many things that were not the word of God but the men are changing and to be within God's will. The wine is facing this kind of pagan sun worship and pray to the sun. Altars for sacrifices were so this was changed. The language is easy for everyone who wants to understand what is said and make it part of the service. Having laity do a lot of the new service is for the people of the church participate in the worship of God [if you take most to understand and be part of the service] is not singing to be done [is in the Bible] and that is what the pagans do and what not to do what they do to their pagan god and say we are doing for our God, again the Bible does not say to do this. I hope that explains some crazy and if I did I'm sorry, but God is so pleased with what the church is trying to do.
