are not discouraged to see that. the films are full of nothing but lies and deceit to the people outside the Catholic Church and unfortunately people fall for it.

I'm pretty sure that most people, including Catholics, are able to understand that "fiction" means that it is not real.
The only people who saw The Da Vinci Code and thought it really had any relation to reality are the same people who think Harry Potter was written to entice children into witchcraft and devil worship. You know, guys who have difficulty distinguishing real from make believe.

They are terrified that causes people to question their religion.
The books are fiction, but also contain some facts that the church does not want to emphasize.
If the church was so sure it was right that would not mind if all the aspects of the question. Thinking about everything and you will see that they are terrified you will realize that it is a myth. If not, lose their power base, their big houses and big bank accounts smelly.
Do you have any idea how much the Vatican?

I have read enough about the conspiracy theory behind the DaVinci Code. I have also read the writings of the Vatican banned for centuries (the Nag Hammadi library - known to most as the "Gnostic Gospels"). The idea sounds interesting, but not really hold water for long. The Priory of Sion, as described by Pierre Plantard proved to be a hoax, and the evidence to support theories of the involvement of the Knights Templar and Rennes le Chateau is too weak to be taken seriously. If you want to delve into the myth, the disdain DaVinci Code and read "The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail" by Lincoln, Baigent and Leigh. Dan Brown took more than likely on the premise of your story in this book.
I think the most important issue in this situation is to allow the people, why the Vatican to "ban" this (or any other) book? Denying the right to read or study what they want is censorship, and is one of the tactics that are associated with a cult. Instead of banning, the Vatican should take the time to refute the point, why is nothing more than fiction. Or ignore the ban that only helps to keep the myth alive.

This is a good man who is speaking in HOLLYWOOD.
HOLLYWOOD know Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Scientology,
How in the world will know, perhaps, all the information that is not true about the Vatican? No and no and no way anyone can take them down. I do not worry so much.

  7. Tasha says:

If something must be "The Da Vinci books and films are fiction, which are sold in the fiction section and they have never advertised as anything other than fiction. Please do not continue to confuse fiction with reality. "

  10. Artemis says:

Probably not, but then again I read that the Vatican banned The Passion of Christ, and was an amazing and accurate description of what happened .. so I am sure that a ban on a film that has no merit to the truth itself.
Edit: Well, I got e-mails from people saying that the Vatican's ban The Passion of Christ, if any, sorry my bad:)
