I do not think the Vatican has an official position on Kierkegaard. But he was not in good standing with his Protestant church. He, as a philosopher, rejected the need for religious truth objectively preferring instead to interpret their own thoughts, ideas according to their beliefs. It seems strange that Kierkegaard wrote and appeared as a Christian believer. His conflict with the church is that the truth of their faith should lie in it. I think she said something to the effect "is irrelevant whether or not Moses part the Red Sea (with God's help of course.) Do not make him a" better "Christian.ie to believe that based on the authority of the church. Kierkegaard import is that the religious went to the interior of a fully rational inquiry. He was referring to the conversion, or atheist, or the validation of the church. Just discussed, sometimes with great pain, their own religion experience.Of course is accredited with being the grandfather of existentialism because of its examination of the spot.
