Why people can not be stored in hell?
If God really merciful, then no one would be eternally punished. If it is really a hell full of pain and toture and stuff, then at some point, everyone will want to repent and go and live with God.
I suspect this is why Catholics invented the concept of purgatory.

God is merciful indeed. Hell is eternal separation from him. God did not send anyone there. It is a place where people choose to go. They, in their life on earth, decides to exclude God from their lives who choose to ignore, insult and reject it. When they die, they receive what their lives have shown they want, the eternal separation from him.
What to choose? You have all the information. God is probably not going to appear in person to tell you what to do. But it's your choice. Will you accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ, or will say, "I do not think I'm fine without it."
And know that whatever you choose, God will honor your choice.
This is a really good question. There is nothing in the Bible (I think) that says a person can not repent, once sent to Hell. I made myself this question. I think this is just something that you just have to see when the time comes.

It is too late to save them. They made their choice, while on this earth. Once in hell do not get a second chance.

Everything that human beings are creatures with eternal eternal destiny. Life is short. Eternity is long. Eternity is forever. That never ends. God created an eternal creature. God gave you an eternal soul / spirit is aware of the existence throughout eternity. Your soul / spirit can never be removed, extinguished, annihilated or destroyed. Purgatory is a word derived from the word "purge," which means to clean. There are many indications in the Bible that prayer for the dead is practiced and taught. Ask yourself if there is no purgatory, why the need to pray for the dead?
This means that a lot of people die in a state of sin, but they are doing the best I could love God. Must be purified before they can enter heaven.
Remember: you must be perfect to enter heaven (which none of us are). If there is no purgatory, most of us will end in hell because we are not perfect.
