I am not Catholic, but I can answer your question. Nowhere in the Bible that speak of a place called Purgatory, and nowhere in the Bible tells us not to pray to Mary. The Roman Catholic Church evolved over the centuries, here and there adding doctrines. It was in the year 431 in the council of Ephesus that Catholics were told to call Mary "the mother of God." The doctrine of Purgatory was first established by Gregory the Great about the year 593. It was proclaimed as a dogma of faith by the Council of Florence in 1438. The Immaculate Conception of Mary was proclaimed by Pope Pius IX in 1854. In 1931 Pius XI reaffirmed the doctrine that Mary is the Mother of God. " There is much more to say, but it is clear that the Roman Church made up the doctrine, as it grew in recent years.

Catholics look to the teachings of the Bible as metaphors. They do not take the Bible literally (and the Vatican supports it. I do not believe in evolution * S *).
The Bible is written by men.
Catholics venerate Mary. The mother of Jesus Christ. To guide and help. Do not worship Mary.
Catholics believe that all saved and those who believe in God and His word (and accept Jesus as the son of God) are going to heaven.

The word purgatory is nowhere in the Holy Bible. Jesus said in John 14:6: "I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me." Therefore, according to Jesus, prayer is only directed to the Father through Him [Jesus]. Purgatory and prayers to Mary or anyone else based on the false doctrine and tradition and has no biblical basis.

    BIBLICAL MARY
    MARY CATHOLIC
    THE GODDESS
Humble and obedient. Calls herself "the handmaid of the Lord."
The Pope officially gave Mary the title "Queen of Heaven" and established a feast day honoring Mary, Queen of Heaven.
Wiccans call their goddess the "Queen of Heaven."
I knew I needed a savior: "And my spirit has rejoiced in God my savior." (Luke 1:47)
"Immaculate Conception" (Mary was conceived sinless, without original sin) and "All Holy" (Mary lived a sinless life).
Goddesses do not need salvation. They make the rules.
Normal wife and mother who had other children.
"Perpetual Virginity" (Jesus, brothers and sisters are considered cousins).
Goddesses do not have human children.
No biblical evidence that Mary did not die like a normal person.
"Glorious Assumption" (Mary was taken body in the sky).
    Goddesses do not die.
Jesus told John to take Mary into his house and look after her as his own mother.
Catholics are the adopted children of Mary. "Woman, behold your son" (John 19:26) is taken to apply literally to all Catholics.
Witches are the adopted, "hidden children" of the Queen of Heaven.
      Normal women.
Sometimes the picture standing on a crescent moon, wearing a crown or a circle of stars around his head.
    Moon Goddess.
      Normal women.
Supernatural (apparitions accompanied healings and miracles).
    Supernatural.
Points people to Jesus. Mary said: "Whatever you say, do it." (John 2:5)
Jesus can do things. An ad in the newspaper showing the site of Mary and Jesus said: "He has not denied anything in 2000 years. What are you asking? "This is not official Catholic doctrine, but a general attitude that is encouraged by the pious literature.
    Points to itself.
      He wants to be adored.
She knew she needed a savior. (Luke 1:47)
Apparitions of Mary "have promised that if people use certain objects (such as a Scapular or Miraculous Medal) or say certain prayers after the guarantees to go to Heaven. The Catholic Church has not officially approved these practices, but that has not discouraged them.
Invoked to make supernatural things happen through witchcraft (the use of special objects and special verbal formulas).
God does not need a savior.

"If the Bible does say about purgatory and you have to pray for them to keep them safe? and pray to Mary and disiples.>>
Do not pray for the safe keeping of purgatory … all in purgatory to heaven is to have no meaning.
Purgatory is the final purification after death: But nothing unclean shall enter, nor any one who practices abomination or falsehood, but only those which are written in the Lamb's book of life. Rev. 21:27
As sinners, our entire lives, we have become "addicted" to sin. It's like quitting smoking or drugs.
"The whole world is salted with fire." Mark 9:49
For Christ also died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that could lead us to God, being put to death in the flesh but alive in the spirit in which he went and preached to the spirits in prison . 1 Peter 3:19-20
When we pray to the saints, we are asking them to pray for us and we, like everyone else. Pray with those in the church, and ask your friends to pray for you, right? We believe that they are alive in Christ, because:
And whoever lives and believes in me shall not die forever. Believest you this? John 11:26
When the lamb had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders bowed before him. Each one had a harp and golden bowls full of incense, the prayers of the saints. Revelation 5:8 shows that the saints offer our prayers to God
In this psalm to "pray" to the angels:
"Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord of the heavens, praise him in the highest! Praise him, all his angels, praise him, his welcome to all! "Psalm 148:1-2
Of course, we can pray directly to God as well.
No, we do not believe that only Catholics go to heaven. We believe that only God knows who. Jesus is the way truth and life. All Christians share a belief in Jesus, and all religions have some truth in it. We are convinced that only Catholicism is the fullness of truth.
To the person who posted earlier, we do not believe in evolution. That is a thing of science. We can choose to believe, but it is not official Catholic doctrine. Many Catholics creationists.
Youtube videos say a lot of lies about Catholicism. Chick Tracts are like sometimes anyone can make a video. As an atheist I do not buy the videos, you should not believe that antiCatholic. They are often very biased. We do follow the Bible is the inspired word of God.
"There's 100 people who hate the Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they believe to be the Catholic Church." - Archbishop Fulton Sheen
Learn about other religions is the best if you go to websites made by that faith. If I wanted to learn about Judiasm not ask a Muslim. http://catholic.comhttp://vatican.vahttp://scripturecatholic.com
