  1. JJ Joseph says:

The Bible is the only ancient text that have accurately described the Big Bang theory of the origin of the universe.

  2. Leon B says:

Yes, of course. The Big Bang is supported by the weight of the evidence.
Scientific theories depend on whether the evidence supports, not who came with them. (This is one of the major differences between science and religion, it is understandable that you may have trouble understanding that one.) Whether the Big Bang was designed by Charles Manson or Jeffrey Dahlman, is the idea that is important, not the person who thought so.
Look at it another way: the idea that everything consists of atoms was developed by Democritus, over a thousand years BC. Democritus was a pagan, but has no problem accepting the idea of atoms, molecules, etc, I guess. That's because the concept of atoms was closed at the evidence. It survived all (or most) of which is tested and proven so important is very useful. Has been extremely useful to modern science and engineering, chemistry, genetics, medicine, and many other fields are built in part on the atomic theory. And indeed, it would not be able to split the atom if the atoms do not exist.

  3. Sweet Voltaire says:

The fact that it was thought by preist does not mean that I can not believe that the concept of the Big Bang is well designed and fairly logical explanation of things. Gregor Mendel was a priest and he is often called the father of genetics, because of his brilliant discovery of dominant and recessive traits.

  4. Diane (PFLAG) says:

The validity of a scientific theory is not based on the validity of the beliefs of scientists from the foundation, but the validity of the scientific evidence demonstrated .. The founder of a scientific theory can believe in flying purple baboon who spent their days to dance the tango for all I care, if the theory presented argues that the scientific method of theory is valid …

  5. Wise Duck says:

Lamaitre also an astrophysicist who proposed the theory that explains all the available evidence. Made testable predictions that proved to be very precise and it is supported by a large amount of evidence.
The Big Bang is a good science and Lamaitre was a good scientist.

  6. Ms. Taurus ¤Blackhoof Buccaneer¤ says:

Religion does not restrict the fact that some people are just born to be great minds. (Just too many in the world think they are great when they are not!)
I'm not fully with the big bang, but I think it's a good possibility. While the answers to which could be something that we never intended and can never think of …

  7. rhsaunde says:

Yes You have now achieved the status of established science, which explains all the phenomena of implementation and also predicts the occurrence of deuterium and lithium in the universe - which could not have been created in any other way.

  8. Caboose says:

Agree. No, I do not care what the religion is of the insanely intelligent person who developed it.
Heck, Pythagoras created his own religion, which do not allow people to eat beans, but that does not mean I'm going to doubt that a ^ 2 + b ^ 2 = c ^ 2

  9. hobart_e says:

Do not waste your time asking what they think atheists. Have not yet begun to think.
If they did would be amazed at the creation.
The man's perception of the universe is false.
God spiritually. The universe is something spiritual, not material.

  10. Professo says:

Im not sure if I do .. i need to research more … but one thing is certain … I do not believe that some supreme being created the universe and, for some reason, only human beings created to worship him and .. apparently we are not perfect, but …. and therein lies the problem … something perfect can not create something imperfect ..

  11. Pangloss (ancora imparo) says:

Of course, this is not an atheist.
I hope this is not shock me that revelation. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index; http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index … …

  12. Martin G says:

The truth has no bearing on the religious beliefs of someone … Newton was a very religious man … am I supposed to not believe in gravity because of your religion?
If he is right, then right. It says more about your spiritual intelligence of the alignment.

  13. Purple Moogle says:

Yes, yes, much of the mathematical concepts we use today were made by Muslim mathematicians.
Who cares who wrote it, is how it relates to the reality that concerns us.

  14. asylum31 says:

Catholics have a better story than the rest of the Christians when it comes to understanding science. Not good, just better. No, do not bother me.

  15. Mossflower Wood says:

So far, from what I can see …
It is the most sense and is the best explanation, so yes, I believe in it.
I will continue believing in it until proven wrong, if it ever proved wrong.

  16. Charlie says:

It is a theory well supported; Lamaitre religion is irrelevant, science is universal.

  17. msmarsha says:

no matter who thought of it first, that it was still plausible. I'm not going to ignore everything that someone says just because they are Catholics.

  18. Lizard of Ahaz Recreated says:

Yes, but I think it will be soon completely by the results at CERN. I have a good feeling about the M theory makes little sense, although I think some of the local need adjustment.

  19. vérité says:

The expansion of the universe has been studied extensively. I could not care less who started it, science is a strong (but with many unanswered questions)

  20. apple says:

    not on religion
      this is called science

  21. Zachary w says:

Doesn't scientific theory is based on faith. If someone taught you that 2 +2 = 4, but that person also believes in Zeus, which makes it bad?

  22. Ethan says:

His real name was Georges Lemaitre, Lamaitre not.

  23. Rebecca A says:

Yes, I believe in the Big Bang. No matter who first postulated the theory - which is a perfectly sound one.

  24. Gazoo says:

Yep. Actually has evidence that, unlike God.

  25. Kyle says:

theory is now that I think is the best, I do not care what they thought.

  26. Irate Aten says:

I do not understand. But it certainly seems more likely that the world was created in six days and then rested.

  27. žäшãđźҜә says:

Just goes to show some Christians can be intelligent.

  28. G(A)B(E) End Fascism says:

I understand and agree that yes.

  29. paintedh says:

No matter who made. Science is science.

  30. Basement Cat, TheRapist says:

you kidding? yes i ignore all the science unless it is an atheist lol

  31. whitehor says:

The Catholic Church persecuted Galileo also. While respect for many things, I also do not believe the number one in the area of science.
