As a Catholic and raised in a Catholic church and a Catholic school can tell you that you can get married ..... Priest was only around 400-450 AD (which could be out of a hundred years or so - the theology class many years ago for me ... lol) that the Pope decreed that priests can not marry .... you have what we call essential and non essential core traditions traditions .... are like the 10 commandments, the law of God, Christ teachings, the Gospel things never change .... things that you should follow ..... as you can not change the essential traditions from one generation to another or from parish to parish and is still basically as it has been a tradition for many years ..... as the priests are not married, at Confession, blessings ..... different things to do, because our mothers, and so on ..... And they have done with the shortage of priests in the society today I think that very soon the priests will marry once more, with this pope, or at least the following

All the principles of the priests were allowed to marry as a priest who are currently married through the practice of another denomination, but the conversion to Catholicism. I remember my medieval history course in college all the official beginning of the priests had no restrictions on marriage, that there was never a restriction rabbis. However, as the Church grew richer and more formal priest had acquired a tendency to give the properties of the church lands to their wives and children to their death so they can be supported. I think it got to the point that the economy lost assets overwhelmed the Church of the viability and the willingness of employers to continue donating. It prohibiting priests to marry and set up the equivalent of nunneries and orphanages for children and wives with the issues of life in the church property.
