If Catholics believe that Jesus and Jehovah are the same person, why not remove the name "Jesus" of the Bible and his songs too?

It's probably a good idea. The name "Yahweh" is back to a time 4500 years ago, before the invention of monotheism. The name "Yahweh" originally referred to any member of the pantheon Ugritic (the sons of Asherah and El-yon), which was adopted as a god and worshiped by tribal henotheistically the proto-Israelites. This is not consistent with current Catholic teaching on the nature of God.
If the Catholic Church is doing this in order not to offend the Jewish nation are not promoting eating bacon, lobster or crabcakes? Iban stop celebrating Christmas and pick up a menorah?
This action has nothing to do with the Jewish people. No offense, but history shows that the CCR shows disgust towards this nation compassion. This is just a movement to remove the name of God so that Jesus could be worshiped as God. The worrying thing of all, it put everything on the Jews and their traditions.
First, the question was addressed to Catholics and Christians, not idiots. The second Vatican can make whatever rules we want for those who use them as lead. But the name of God can not be changed. GOD IS! What people need to do is search the scriptures for themselves to ensure that under the right leadership. Because we all must give account of our own decisions. Not what others told us.
Of course not! How can Catholics worship their god, the pope and God at the same time? It is not possible. The popes claim to be the god of the heavens and the earth and the lower regions, and demand the worship and adoration due to Christ as their own! So what else to expect?

While my first reaction was negative, my wife said something that led me to agree with the new rules.
She said, "I never call my father 'Bob'."
If we recognize that it is disrespectful and unchildlike to call our parents by their earthly names personal, why our heavenly Father to call by name?
Note, however, is not disrespectful to use the name of God, Yahweh, when not addressed to him in prayer. By the same token, there should be no problem on my wife saying: "My father's name is Bob." The Jerusalem Bible uses Yahweh in his translation. Other organizations use the Lord, which is a mistake.
On the spelling without vowels, Hebrew has no vowels. Yahweh is spelled with four letters in Hebrew.

I think it is very sad. But they are going to do what they want anyway. Who or what are increasingly more money. Not to defend what they believe right. Take the Jewish people, for example. They were right with Hitler. However, the Lord will be responsible for all of that soon.

I think this Pope is a nutcase and is looking for something to do to feel important. He makes the statement is crazy and really retrograde. I do not often feel anxious for someone to die … but we can depose the Pope? Former contact him? Something? Sprinkle with the Holy water? He is so scared to look …!

After Saint Faustina: Respectfully, you said that it was a "return to tradition." In fact, if we look at the King James Bible of 1611 and 1767 … specifically Exodus 6:3 … you will find that uses the name of the LORD (Yahweh). The subsequent edition of 18something used the title "Lord" and then footnotes that says "Traditionally the Lord." You can verify that for yourself very easily by going to blueletterbible.com and the pursuit of that verse, and then hit V to view all the translations.
Jews believe the name YHVH is sacred to be pronounced outside the temple, which is why it is written w / o vowels. The Vatican is probably what it is along those lines.
If you are not Catholic or Jewish, why do you bother?

I really do not know what to say. I know that there is a problem today of saying the name of God or Mary or the saints in vain and blasphemous ways. I do not know if taking out Yahweh impact, although in reality.
LORD Yahovah, Jah, the Ancient of Days, and Yahweh are the names of all the Gods. And I am going to ignore the news as rubbish, because God has the right to a name like everyone else.
