I think this is a step towards improvement.
Catholics and most other Christians follow the example of the Jews and the Bible almost never use the name of God. This is the pious practice of supreme respect and obedience to the commandment not to use God's name in vain.

How Christian of you who accuse us of being bad Catholics and the Church founded by Christ himself as a demon. Just a little reminder to behave like what they seem.
As for making the Lord of the songs and prayers, I can not understand why, and I have absolutely nothing against her. They are trying to show respect not only to the Jewish faith, but God himself. This does not mean that we are not allowed to say God, we just said is not Yahweh.

If Catholics believe that Jesus and Jehovah are the same person, why not remove the name "Jesus" of the Bible and his songs too?

It's probably a good idea. The name "Yahweh" is back to a time 4500 years ago, before the invention of monotheism. The name "Yahweh" originally referred to any member of the pantheon Ugritic (the sons of Asherah and El-yon), which was adopted as a god and worshiped by tribal henotheistically the proto-Israelites. This is not consistent with current Catholic teaching on the nature of God.

If the Catholic Church is doing this in order not to offend the Jewish nation are not promoting eating bacon, lobster or crabcakes? Iban stop celebrating Christmas and pick up a menorah?
This action has nothing to do with the Jewish people. No offense, but history shows that the CCR shows disgust towards this nation compassion. This is just a movement to remove the name of God so that Jesus could be worshiped as God. The worrying thing of all, it put everything on the Jews and their traditions.

First, the question was addressed to Catholics and Christians, not idiots. The second Vatican can make whatever rules we want for those who use them as lead. But the name of God can not be changed. GOD IS! What people need to do is search the scriptures for themselves to ensure that under the right leadership. Because we all must give account of our own decisions. Not what others told us.

Of course not! How can Catholics worship their god, the pope and God at the same time? It is not possible. The popes claim to be the god of the heavens and the earth and the lower regions, and demand the worship and adoration due to Christ as their own! So what else to expect?
Ah, of course, CR is not Christian! In no way or form!

While my first reaction was negative, my wife said something that led me to agree with the new rules.
She said, "I never call my father 'Bob'."
If we recognize that it is disrespectful and unchildlike to call our parents by their earthly names personal, why our heavenly Father to call by name?
Note, however, is not disrespectful to use the name of God, Yahweh, when not addressed to him in prayer. By the same token, there should be no problem on my wife saying: "My father's name is Bob." The Jerusalem Bible uses Yahweh in his translation. Other organizations use the Lord, which is a mistake.
On the spelling without vowels, Hebrew has no vowels. Yahweh is spelled with four letters in Hebrew.

I think it is very sad. But they are going to do what they want anyway. Who or what are increasingly more money. Not to defend what they believe right. Take the Jewish people, for example. They were right with Hitler. However, the Lord will be responsible for all of that soon.
