I think it has to be up to the priests and the Catholic Church. I would say that it works that ministers may marry and have children but do not have a vote of celibacy. They do ask, however, that homosexuals are people who ordered, to abstain from their sexual behavior. I believe that everyone should be put out to pasture. We should be able to married or unmarried, gay or straight, male or female, and we do not have anything to hide about ourselves.
Only the Catholic Church can decide whether celibacy is something that really should be continued. Although sometimes I am forced to think "cooky jar" logic when it comes to the prohibition of the partners to the priests. Often, you do not want a cooky until someone tells you not to touch them! Then there is curiosity.

I can tell you that one of my good friends (who play hockey and golf together on the same team) is a priest. The man is so overloaded that it has few versions are times we spent together. The priests are working almost 24 / 7. I finally convinced Fr. James turn off your pager when your golf course in a scheduled rest day of the week and could not put it on the ice with him.
Try to imagine a married priest with children … his son's "great game" or the graduation of their daughters, the pager goes off and someone is dying and asking for the last rites. As a priest his duty is clear. He is "married" to God and serves him alone.
Fr James has no desire to marry, so he became a priest .. knew that the agreement is in celibacy is considered a "higher calling" in writing.

I think you should be able to do what you want if you are sure that God is directing. But if the church has rules against it should be okay, if they want to marry or stay single and stay. But we want the church to change is not an option. Unless the church gives them a voice. Paul said that it would be better if they like him. single.and serve God

so much for writing - marriage and celibacy. have friends who are priests - they feel the celibacy helps them concentrate more on his parish. I have worked in the offi and let me tell you - who was divorced. I do not know how a woman would be able to ask parishioners to 24 / 7 and much less if they had children. would not be able to have a real marriage.
People have a tendency to forget - the acceptance of the position of a Catholic priest is a choice. These men do not go blindly into it, and nobody forces them. The same is said of the Sisters / Nun. The option to remain celibate is just that - a choice. The same can be said of unmarried men and women who choose not to marry and still not sleep around. Jesus remained celibate like some of the apostles - as well - some are called to remain single, and therefore celibate.

not in most cases they should not. Catholic priests do not marry because, while Christ, in fact, approve of marriage for the Christian clergy, He much prefers not to marry. Made this very clear when He praised the Apostles for giving up “ todos''a follow, saying: “ And every one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my name, will receive a hundredfold, and shall have eternal life.''(Matthew 19:27-29). Furthermore, Jesus explains why some are not married, indicating that "some of them, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of kingsom of heaven." The apostle Paul explains why the State is not married preferable to the situation for the Christian clergy marriage: “ He that is without the woman, is worried about the things that belong to the Lord, how you can please God. But it is with a woman is concerned about the things of the world, how can please his wife and he is divided.''(1 Cor. 7:32-33). In other words, marriage is good - Christ into one of the holy sacraments of the Church - but that is not conducive to the full time that corresponds to those who surrender to the holy sacraments of Christ - the Holy orders. Even so, the status of unmarried Catholic priesthood is not an inflexible law - under certain conditions, a priest may be dispensed from this law.

A priest is in the person of Christ. Christ was celibate.
Aldo, who are dedicated to Christ, and the service of his Church. This is more than a full-time commitment. This is a way of life. A priest can not serve the Church and marriage without one, or both, and injustice.
For those who say that "nobody should be forbidden to marry" they are correct. The Catholic Church does not forbid anyone to marry … but if you decide to become a priest, acceptance of the discipline of celibacy. Nobody is forced into the priesthood.
Furthermore, there is no biblical support for celibacy in Matthew 19:12 Jesus says: "Some are incapable of marriage because they were born, some because they were made so by others, some because they have renounced marriage sake of the kingdom of heaven. Who can accept this should accept it. "

It used to be Catholic, and I think we just rebuild the old covenant system uses and services. Good intentions, but wrong. The new covenant does not require a building or a priest, as are all declared by Jesus to be the living stones of his church. That resides within us now. Thus, in view of this, I think if a priest wants to marry and have children, there is no law given by God to do it. It would only be holding the traditions of man back.

I remain firm in my position of priest celibacy
Celibacy is a part of disciplinary rules that were in the past, that the Church is no better cure for marriage.
Now if a priest is allowed to marry, as is bending backwards.

I am not Catholic at present (as usuallyused here), but yes. Trust others. Also, the difference between necessary and authorized.
