Catholics: Why pray to Mary? Would you go so far as Commending Mary?
What are the verses that speak of this idea? Peter and Paul or the other gospel never says anything about prayer to Mary. It seems to me that this is a … Jesus. So how do you get?
- Why Catholics pray for the help of the Virgin Mary?
- Why the Orthodox and Catholics pray to Mary?
- Why in the world Catholics pray to the statue of Mary? Where the Bible does say to pray to Mary?
- Why do Catholics pray to Mary and other saints and priests Use As A Go between them and God?
- Catholics. Why pray to Mary? She is dead. Do you not think that God must be the only one Praying For You?

People do not realize that to attack the holy mother is also attacking the atoning work of the father to the man who sent His only Son for the sins of the world. He was born on a ship that fits perfectly to God and the Savior of the world, the Blessed Virgin who remained undefiled by man all his holy life. Is it that we look to the pattern of our devotion to Christ and that she is leading a perfect life of devotion to His Son, always pointing to humanity to Him as the way of salvation. She is the mother of the Church, like Jesus on the Cross not only gave in San Juan, but also to the Church. Jesus said to John, and therefore the whole Church, behold your mother. He was also given the responsibility for eternity to be the mother of us all. This is the closest of family relationships that is for those who are "in Christ." As God said to man, I am yours you are mine to believers, He does so to illustrate this relationship with your words of the Cross. For this reason, Christians have sought from the outset the Blessed Mother of God, our mother. While one may be invisible in the church without this relationship with the blessed mother, I can be of the Church and God's will without the fullness of the relationship that our Savior has established through His grace to us all that her.
One can not reject the blessed mother, not the rejection of his Son and of the Church, which has established itself as the cornerstone and the apostles as foundation stones of 12, who will sit on the ruling of the twelve tribes of Israel . The structure is built over these stones, which ensures the strength of his Church for all time as promised. It is not a faith built on sand where you can attack his family in the most cruel, horrible, and indeed of the infernal without suffering eternal punishment, not just separation from God, but also the eternal pain and the fire of hell in the company of Satan and all his minions, those seduced by Satan, as Jesus said to cry "Lord, Lord" and then he said he knew and was not thrown into the eternal fire not designed for them, as Jesus came to call all men to Him for eternity, but for Satan and unrepentant of a family to do the will of Satan instead of the Father's will. Woe to those who never knew him and who have condemned themselves.
It is sad when one becomes so mundane that they can not even recognize the blue and reject the example of saints who have gone before who have suffered for their faith. Imagine the blessed Mother of God at the foot of the cross watching her son being spotted in the most brutal and humiliating way, knowing that he is innocent of the charges against him and he deserves all the praise of mankind. It was a horrible scene that even the supporters, with the exception of the ladies who followed our Lord and the blessed St. John, were the only ones present at slaughter. Nobody else can take, either for fear of reprisals or out of love for which he had followed for so long and learned that he was Godman and the Savior of the world. San Pedro said it best in Capernaum, "where else can we go as you have the words of eternal life" if not fully understand what they mean from their "hard teaching" that is evident in the cross, when He said, "Do not eat after drinking the last cup of blessing the branch of hyssop. "It is finished" (consummated) meant that His Atonement was just beginning bringing humanity into the presence of His New Covenant Old and out of the familial relationship of the Old Covenant. It was truly a reality a few days later, when he arose to fulfill the prophecy as the latest sign of the fulfillment of prophecy. The door opens to the sky.
The blessed mother when our Lord refers to as "women" refers to its importance in the saving plan of our father. It is his act of devotion and obedience that crushed the head of the serpent (Satan) and defeated his plan to the conviction of the man. Sin entered the world through Eve and Satan and sin was defeated by the Blessed Mother of our Lord. If she is not in the sky and then saved by the Lord there is no hope for us, none of us can get to the devotion and obedience of the One who is called by the angel of God the most blessed among women, and consequently The most blessed of all humanity past, present and future. So do not let those who attack our mother beating her child in the hope and the promise that their sacrifice has provided. May God have mercy on those who do the work of Satan. God bless!

Do not pray to Mary, not worship. We have a prayer in honor of Mary as the mother of Jesus. If you have ever spoken the phrase "lucky" or "God be with you" or "The Lord be with you", is essentially the same thing.
Now, it's simple enough for your simple mind?
We asked them to pray for us.
Prayer and worship are not synonymous. The original meaning of the word was to pray "request" or "request". We ask Mary to pray for us and with us. She is the Mother of God, she is in heaven. His prayers are perfect for us, unlike the prayers of those here on earth is still bound by the flesh and sin.
Is not Jesus or Mary. We pray to Jesus and worship him, as does Mary. She is not in competition with his son and savior.
There is no verse that says "pray to Mary," but there are verses that say we must pray for one another and ask for the prayers of others. Mary is one of us, she is a member of the Body of Christ. St. Paul says that nothing can separate us from Christ, even death. Mary is certainly alive in heaven with him, and we can pray for him.
Everything is not included in the Bible. Not everything on the Jews maintain their tradition is found in the Torah, either. The Church has many letters and other documents which are retained and become part of the catechism and Catholic tradition.
We do not "worship" Mary. We asked them to pray for us. The sentence "The Hail Mary" is asking Mary pray for us sinners …".
She is the mother of Jesus, at the foot of his cross became our spiritual mother, when Jesus says to John "Behold your mother …"
John took her to his house. At that time, he became like a spiritual mother of all disciples and for us.
We are happy to have Mary to pray for us and with us. If you have never asked for a prayer for you, then I think we can not appreciate the experience. Too bad for you.
so do not pray to Mary, his honor and ask him to pray for us. and the first half of the Hail Mary prayer is based on the Scriptures and from the Gospel of Luke.
prayer reads:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of death.
When the angel Gabriel visits Mary says, "Hail full of grace! The Lord is with you "Luke 1:28
Elizabeth greets Mary when she says "Most blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. Luke 1:42
the 2nd half of the sentence is not directly in the writing itself, but is in no way contradictory to the Bible.
"Holy Mary, Mother of God" is in reference to Mary is a vessel through which Jesus came. Like a church or an altar is holy because of his Mary is holy relationship with God.
"pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death." We're not asking Mary to do anything but pray for us. Catholics recognize that only God can answer our prayers. We ask Mary to pray for the way we might ask a friend to pray for you.
can explain what happened and of what they call ever … Idolatry is still ..
the concept of Mary as the new ark of the covenant / symbol … which was not quite sure about all that is because it is not biblical, which is one of the strangest ideas … part of the Da Vinci Code thing?
There are many more who came from this:
Mary is our Mother and Queen of Spain David New
John 19:26 - Jesus Mary, Mother of us all as He dies on the Cross saying, "Behold your mother." Jesus did not say "John, behold your mother" and that Mary gave all us, his beloved disciples. All the words that Jesus spoke on the Cross had a divine purpose. Jesus is not just telling John to care for her mother.
Rev. 12:17 - this verse shows the meaning of John 19:26. The "woman" (Mary) are the children who follow Jesus. She is our Mother and we are their progeny in Jesus Christ. The master plan of God's covenant love for us is the family. But we can not be a complete family with the fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Christ Motherhood of Mary.
John 2:3 - that is a very significant verse from Scripture. As our mother, Mary tells us all to do what Jesus says. In addition, the intercession of Mary at the wedding of Cana triggers the ministry of Jesus and a foreshadowing of the Eucharistic celebration of the Lamb. This celebration unites all believers in a famiy through marriage of divinity and humanity.
John 2:7 - Jesus allows his mother to intercede for the people in his name, and responds to the request of his mother's service order to fill the jars with water.
Psalm 45:9 - the psalmist teaches that the Queen is on the right hand of God. The role of the Queen is important in the kingdom of God. Mary, Queen of Heaven is on the right hand of the Son of God.
1 Kings 2:17, 20 - David in the Old Testament kingdom, the king does not refuse to his mother. Jesus is the new King David, and he does not reject the requests of his mother Mary, the Queen.
1 Kings 2:18 - David in the Old Testament kingdom, Queen intercedes on behalf of supporters of the King. She is the queen mother (or "Gebirah). Mary is our eternal Gebirah.
1 Kings 2:19 - in the Old Testament King David reign arches her mother and she sits on his right hand. We, as children of the New Covenant, we should imitate the King and pay tribute to Mary our Mother. In honor of Mary, we honor our King, Jesus Christ.
1 Kings 15:13 - The Queen Mother is a position of real power in the monarchy of Israel. Here the queen is removed. But now, the kingdom of David is perfected by Jesus and Mary is our Mother forever in his right hand.
2 Chron. 22:10 - here the Queen Mother Athalia destroys the royal family of Judah after she sees her son, King Ahaziah killed. Queen mother played an important role in the kingdom.
Neh. 2:6 - the Queen Mother sits beside the King. She is the principal intercessor before the King.
Praying a = / = religion.
We pray (ask) Mary for her prayers as you would ask for the prayers of a friend or family member. She is not worshiped in any way.
I think that Catholics do not give Mary the same level of devotion that God gives, to learn what your talking
I went to a wedding were the bride kneeling before Mary. Is not this idolatry? and the Hail Mary? What about hail Jesus?
We pray to Mary to ask her to pray for us.
We respect your,
she is the mother of God, after all.
Read Luke Chapter 1.
Why? I have a whole list of reasons:
The rosary is explained here: http://www.medjugorje.org/rosary.htm
The fifteen promises of Mary to Christians who pray the rosary:
1. Which faithfully serve me by the recitation of the Rosary shall receive signal thanks.
2. I promise my special protection and the greatest thanks to all those who shall recite the Rosary.
3. The Rosary is a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies.
4. That will make virtue and good works flourish, but you get to the souls the abundant mercy of God, will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and lift them to the will of eternal things. Ah, to sanctify the souls of here.
5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the Rosary, do not perish.
6. Whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. God does not punish his justice, he does not miss an unprovided death, if just to stay on the grace of God and be worthy of eternal life.
7. Who will have a true devotion for the Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite the Rosary shall have during their life and death in the light of God and the fullness of His grace, at the time of death, will participate in the merits of the saints in Paradise.

13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the defenders of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire Celestial Court during their life and at the hour of death.
14. All those who recite the Rosary are my sons, and brothers of my only Son, Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion to my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.

**** Context? hah! which is in the context! read by itself, not just give them *****
Mary - the Immaculate Ark of the New Partnership
Exodus 25:11-21 - the ark of the Old Covenant was made of pure gold of God's Word. Mary is the Ark of the New Partnership and is the most pure vessel of God's Word made flesh.
2 Sam. 6:7 - the ship is so holy and pure that touched him Uzzah when the Lord killed him. This shows us that the ship is undefiled. Mary, the Ark of the New Covenant is even more immaculate and undefiled, free from original sin from God to enable him to carry His eternal Word in her womb.
1 Chron. 13:9-10 - this is another account Uzzah and the Ark of God to dwell within the ship Mary, Mary had to be conceived without sin. For Protestants to argue otherwise would be to say that God let the finger of Satan touches his Son made flesh. This is incomprehensible.
1 Chron. 15 and 16 - these verses show the great reverence by the Jews had the Ark - veneration, costumes, songs, harp, lira, cymbals, trumpets.
Luke 1:39 / 2 Sam. 6:2 - Lucas conspicuous in the comparison between Mary and the Ark of Samuel described highlights the reality of Mary as the immaculate and undefiled Ark of the New Partnership. In these verses, Mary (the Ark) and left / David arose and went to the Ark. There is a clear parallel between the Ark of the Old and the New Ark of the Covenant.
Luke 1:41 / 2 Sam. 6:16 - John the Baptist / King David before jumping for joy Mary / Ark then must jump for joy before Mary, the Immaculate Ark of the Word made flesh.
Luke 1:43 / 2 Sam. 6:9 - How can the mother and the Ark of the Lord come to me? It is a sacred privilege. Our Mother would come to us and leads us to Jesus.
Luke 1:56 / 2 Sam. 6:11 and 1 Chron. 13:14 - Maria / the ship was in the house for about three months.
Rev 11:19 - at this moment in history, the Ark of the Old Covenant was not seen for six centuries (see 2 macc. 2:7), and now is finally seen in heaven. The Jewish people would have been absolutely amazed by this. However, John immediately passes this fact and describes the "woman" clothed with the sun in Rev. 12:1. John is emphasizing that Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant and that, like the old chest, is now worthy of veneration and praise. Also remember that Rev. 11:19 and Rev. 12:1 are tied together, because there is no chapter and verse at the time these texts were written.
Rev 12:1 - the "woman" that John is describing is Mary, the Ark of the New Partnership, with the moon under her feet and her head a crown of twelve stars. Just as the moon reflects light from the sun, so Mary, with the moon under her feet, reflects the glory of the Sun of Justice, Jesus Christ.
Rev. 12:17 - this verse tells us that Mary is the offspring of those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus. This shows, as Catholics have always believed that Mary is the Mother of all Christians.

Tradición''iglesia is his own.'' Instead of the Bible. They say that the commandments, but are used of Mary is idolatry. She was a sinner who needs God like us. They were not perfect. Christ was sent here to pay for man's sin debt. So we did not have to die and go to hell.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
Jesus answered, "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man comes to the Father except through me. (John14: 6)
That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans10: 9)
That is all that is needed because Jesus paid the price.
I will, God bless
I heard that praying to Mary to speak "through" it. Like, which relays the message because they do not speak directly to Christ. Since she is the Virgin Mother of it, pray over them. Not as a compliment to his deity, however.
