  1. Donut Tim says:

It is natural that a person wants a spirit to help them. One that can not be the same as the whole world. It's OK to pray to their favorite or pattern saint.
Some people even pray to nature, trees, water, wind etc. It is because the results are the same as the prayer to the spirits.
Answer 'kickindevilbutt "is correct in most religions that technically do not care about you to pray to anyone but the various gods - which is also good. There are many to choose from and the results remain the same.

  2. Meg M says:

To pray means to ask, therefore, calls on the intercession of his saints. It's a good thing.
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, which could be healed. The prayer of a man just has a great power in its effects. " (James 5:16)
"First, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be for all men, for kings and all those in high positions, so that we may lead a quiet life, godly and respectful in every way. This is good, and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. " (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

  3. JMR says:

Asking the angels and saints to intercede for you is wise, and in some cases it is better to do.
A perfect example of the Bible: "Go to my servant Job, and offer you a holocaust, and my servant Job shall pray for you: his face, I accept, that insanity is not imputed to you: you do not has spoken right things before me, as my servant Job has. " (Job 42:8)
If someone says that the angels and saints are dead, are contrary to Scripture.

  4. jason says:

in fact only pray and worship God, but the honor of the saints and the Virgin Mary and Mary and the saints as intercessors to pray for people so they can pray to God, in turn, whether the person of Mary and saints and intercessors who are called to intercede for his people after

First, it is wrong to say that the practice of praying for each other has no biblical foundation, which is instructed in Scripture to have a life of prayer for others as it is part of God's commandment to love one others.
(DRB 2CO 5:8) But we are confident and have good will and not be absent from the body and present with the Lord.
The Catholic Church teaches that it is not absolutely necessary for one to ask the intercession of the saints for salvation. The Church teaches that prayer to God is necessary for salvation for all believers. For a Catholic it would be wrong to ignore the liturgical worship offered to God in the holidays of the saints and prayers to ask for his intercession.
The communion of saints is a doctrine of the early Church and is registered in the Apostles' Creed. Simply states that the faithful because of their relationship with Christ is alive, even after the death of your flesh and worship with us. For us, the Church is made up of activists representing the Church to all believers who live their hope in the flesh.
(Phi 2:12 DRB) Therefore, my dear, (and have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence), with fear and trembling work their salvation.
(Phi 2:13 DRB) For God, who worketh in you both to will and to perform according to their goodwill.
Suffering is in the Church are those who are temporarily in need of further purging of sin so they can enjoy God's presence.
(DRB 2mA 12:46) Therefore, it is a healthy and holy thought to pray for the dead, which may be loosed from sins.
Finally, the Communion of Saints consists of those who have won the race:
(Phi 3:14 DRB) beat to the mark, the highest prize of the calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Their immortal souls are in heaven in God's presence:
(Rev 5:8 DRB) When he opened the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one harps and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of the saints.
The flow of the universal connection of all of God's creation is His love, in our baptism in our path to sanctification. This is not an emotional desire, but placed in us by the Spirit of God, which endures as a desire for others to love us and this extends even to our enemies. This is truly a love that comes only from God and is a strange and meaningless to those who have not received the saving grace of God. This desire in our souls does not end with the death of our flesh, but continues the saints in eternity, where through her intercession in prayer, encourage us in our career and help us to bear our union with God.
I think some people of faith who do not understand the Communion of Saints, somehow I think that asking the saints, pray for us is undermining our love and our trust in God. It is indeed impossible, if we truly love as God commands and gave us the grace to understand, not to pray for those who love us and we hope that, in turn, to return to that same love for us and we pray offer our prayers to God.

Let's worship God only.Exodus 20:3 -5 "Thou shalt have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image - any likeness of anything in heaven above, or that is in the soil or in the waters below the earth. You not bow down to them nor serve them. For I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers to the children unto the third and fourth generations of those who hate me. "When we pray, we pray to the Father in the Name of the Father is the Jesus. When juxtaposed with the word" Son "the meaning of God's name in connection with Jesus Christ means. Christ's claim has come in the name of his father reveals that he was the only God [John 5:43) When we sin God is faithful and just to forgive all our sins. (I John 1:9) All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) I hope this helps. God bless

So the Bible says God does not worship any gods before me I am the alpha and omega the beginning and end. This is important, but clearly we are not here to go against their parents' way of thinking because I used to be me coming from a Hispanic Catholic backround. It is a mistake. It's called idolatry.
The only Mediator Betwixt God and man is Jesus
The only thing we should pray to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.
      Anything else is idolatry.

  9. Erik B says:

I think it is better to pray to the higher power, why pray to a minor, but I am sure that God is capable of all things to figure up there, even if the sentence is coming through one or Santa Mary.

  10. Marcus says:

Just pray to God as they say.
