NO Catholics worship Mary and the saints, nor have they ever. Where on earth does this idea? We honor Mary (hyperdulia "- great honor) and saints (" Dulia "- the honor), and leading holy lives and are now members of the Communion of Saints - that is, the Body of Christ in the heaven and earth. They can pray for us as any other believer can. Worship ( "Latvia" - worship) is reserved for God and God alone. No human being is worthy of worship, and the Catholic Church has never taught otherwise. Next time before you state things like 'facts' on how to consult with those of us who are Catholic and have studied our faith. We will gladly explain what we believe and why we believe it is.

Mary worship is based on the Roman (Saturnalia or) worship of the god Osiris, the mother of creation. Was approved at the Church of Rome in the third century and remains there to this day. althoguh found prominience around 40. A.D more or less. We should worship anyone but God. and Jesus is not God, he is the Son of God. worship of Mary as mother of Jesus (hence his mother of god) is a pile of garbage that has its roots in the worship of Osiris, who was the mother of creation, the mother of the universe. The saints are not to be worshiped. Saints worship God alone as well. Jesus worships God. and it is God who is their firstborn creation. All other creation was born in sight of and with the assistance of Jesus

Catholics DO NOT WORSHIP MARY OR THE SAINTS! Catholics pray to Mary and saints. Prayer is talking. We talked to Mary and the saints and ask for help or tell you admire what they did to become such a saint. They are our models, our hero. We also pray to my deceased parents and family members. I ask you to pray for me. Thank you for the years that I knew of them and the life they lived. As Catholics we believe that people in heaven are called Saints are very much alive and with God. We keep alive in our memories and hearts when we think about them or pray with them. Do not worship them.

Agree. I do not believe in the cult of Mary and the saints. Unfortunately, Mary is spoon fed to believe wholeheartedly Catholics is not the Mary of the Bible. The Mary of the Bible says in a sad state, doing the will of Jesus, and she was in dire need of a Savior. The Mary of the Catholic faith is a source of holiness, an intercessor, reigns over all things and the recipient of the prayer. Now, say that Catholics do not pray to Mary, but worship in a system that teaches: "By asking Mary to pray for us, we acknowledge ourselves to be poor sinners and we address ourselves to the" Mother of Mercy ", the Holy ... All who welcome us as our mother at the hour of our passing .. ... "pg644 # 2677 (Catholic doctrine). I would urge all Catholics who say they do not pray to Mary, how they feel about the doctrine. I would also ask them if they are familiar with the children of Israel who made cakes and a sought after "Queen of Heaven" - and how God dealt with them.

I am a devout Catholic - We do not worship Mary or the saints! Some have made over the centuries gone overboard in their devotion to it? - Of course! Not many foundries go overboard with some of its preachers - "I'm Joel Osteen!" I Oral Roberts! "" I Benny Hinn! "Some of these simple people have been next to superstar - but the cast never seem to realize that! Oh, no! God is God of the living, not the dead "(Mt 22:32) - huh? We Catholics believe that Mary and the saints and other faithful departed are alive and are able to join us in prayer. 1I And St. Paul calls it, first, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all (1 Tim 2:1 ).... So what is wrong with asking someone who is living in heaven to join with me in prayer? Do not pray to Mary .... I ask her intercession. Why? Paul says his well .... in fact, that "urges" that ..... Read the book of Revelation - 3 times the writer mentions that the "prayers of the saints" before the throne of God: 5:8, 8:3, 8:4. If a younger brother who was suffering from leukemia and other diseases, you really assume that burden alone - or ask family, friends, fellow church members to join in prayer for him too? If Mary were sitting next to you in the Church - the Mother of the Redeemer (without which we would have no redeeming) - it did not appeal to her and ask for prayer? Why not ask that now reigns in heaven with him? Hold on! You mean that reigns in heaven with him ???!!! It is not that blasphemy? No .... Christ in his fate: "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him (2 Tim 2:12). Even when he was on earth, live only in service to his son. In the wedding at Cana (John 2), which simply made an observation and the need was presented, on behalf of the bride and groom to his son: "They have no more wine" (Jn 2:3). Even when Jesus appeared to her to punish him and do that "My time has not yet come" (Jn 2:4) - that revolves around and is - after she makes you brave "the proclamation of faith - "Do whatever he tells you" (Jn 2:5). She knew what that was all! Responds to your request! Apparently did not realize that the couple had run out of wine and shy (weddings in those days lasted a week). Made the observation, made the request - and said that none of the credit - but to the participants for their son - "Do whatever he tells you." Throughout ancient history, the kings of Judah in line FOREVER to honor her mother (EX 20:10) for special recognition. In fact, read how King Solomon received his mother in his throne room - which fell from his throne, his greeting and bowed to her DOWN! He also said that "no reject" your request - see 1 Kings 2:19-20. And that suggest that just sat on the right hand of the king - in another throne? Not any of Solomon's 400 wives and 300 concubines - but his own mother, Bathsheba. Jesus was very familiar with this great tradition. And so, when Mary and asking Catholics to saints to join us in prayer - they do that God may be glorified in and through His Son, Jesus. In His righteousness, not seeking their own glory - but the glory of Him who called himself. For more information on the Queenship of Mary, visit the website below!
