How to get to talk to a Catholic priest?

For a discussion of the Scriptures. Do I go to church or are there things to do before I can in the Catholic Church?
Any information would be great, but only if you can help answer other only had sense!
  thanks

My old church used to have someone of the people do not have to be particularly respectful religious only, and not take communion unless they were allowed.
You'll find that most of them are quite intelligent and up for a chat, we liked one of our old priests that he had been back once for dinner. I wish I was agnostic because then we could have made a good argument.
Go to a service and see how you like his sermons, and if he is the kind of person who wants to talk to, and then try to find him after the service. The preists in my former parish used to say goodbye to the whole world, because the left side of the church, you can then make an appointment quickly. Or to help provide the service or the cleaning of the collection. Talk to him then.

You call the church or in the office where he and the priest make an appointment. Easy as pie.
If I may suggest finding a priest who teaches theology at a local university. You will be much more likely to get a decent answer that way. In my experience, some priests are great to be pastors, but not so large in the educational aspect.

Do not bother, you will not change anything.

Do not try to discuss them.
That do not bother listening, most of the time.

Priests lead busy lives and rarely can just sit and debate the scriptures.
I suggest you call the parish office and make an appointment.
If you want a better challenge then contact your local Catholic college or university and make an appointment with a true Bible scholar.

Call the parish office and ask to speak with a priest.
I do not think you need to use the word "debate" about the writing. Just say they're interested in learning more about the church and would like some questions answered as part of their investigation. One need not be confrontational about if you have a genuine interest.
Father may refer you to another staff member who is versed in apologetics. My pastor does. Usually he sits with me and the person, and enjoys the interaction. Not that I can not, but it is part of my job as coordinator of religious education.
You can attend the Mass as not Cahtolic, but can not receive Communion.

Normally, anyone who wants to talk to a Catholic priest to call his office and make an appointment. That is how my parish.

  10. Jane Marple says:

You call your office and make an appointment. It is useless to discuss the scriptures with a priest, who is not going to change your mind and you will not change the Catholic Church. If you want explanation on Catholic cree that will give you happy

  13. Dust in the Wind says:

Yes … only go into the church and ask to speak with a priest, the churches are open to all and need not be Catholic or baptized or anything in one go. If he is not there I'm sure will be an appointment. Do not expect to win the debate.

Anyone is allowed in a church or a church that is not worth it go a. I will say a young priest, who are more open to questions. If you are not ready to answer your questions, go to another church. The search for answers takes work.

If not part of his parish, most likely you will not be permitted.
However, if it were me, I probably speak a little different so do not put the poor man on alert.
Debate is a good thing, but many people are unable to do so effectively because they can not separate their beliefs from their own person and not see it as a personal attack.
Try to find a Catholic priest outside the church setting would be willing to "engage in discourse."
