If the Catholic Church was a Christian church, why kill and destroy Bibles Bible Translators?

… William Tinsdale, people gave the Bible in their own language? Perhaps because the Catholic Church knew (and knows) that completely contradicts the writing many Catholic teachings (such as worshiping idols of Mary and the use of duplication in prayer, etc.)
Rome has a lot to answer for …

  1. Chris says:

Catholicism is not Christianity. Catholicism teaches a false gospel of works ( "sacraments") that leads to eternal lake of fire (Galatians 1:6-9). The Vatican has genocidal killed more people than any group in the history of the world.

    Gospel of John 21:25
"There are also many other things which Jesus did, but if these are described separately, I do not think the whole world would contain the books that would be written."
So I still think all that Jesus taught is contained in the deed?
If you believe in Sola Scriptura, if not the authority of scripture come from? Catholics believe that Holy Scripture is inspired because tradition tells us that it is inspired. What says the Bible is inspired?
BTW, Catholics may not add to the Bible. They created the Bible (ie, books that were canonized in the same). Some 1200 years later, he led the Protestants of the Catholic Bible.
There is so much ignorance in your question, almost not worth addressing. BTW, to be called ignorant is not an insult. There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity, so I assume you are ignorant and I mean that in no way insulting. However, in order that this ignorance does not lead others astray, I think it's worth addressing.
May God help guide you on your journey.

The Catholic Church has been around a long time. At that time they have done a lot of things wrong. They have also done much good. No need to paint with a brush the church hundreds of years. Catholics today are good Christian people I can see. They are my brothers and sisters in Christ.
EDIT: I meant what I said. I have great respect for many of the Catholics here. I have no doubt that Christians are saved. I have no doubt that I will see many of them in heaven. I am a Protestant and, specifically, a Pentecostal, but easily could attend a Catholic church. While I disagree with some of their traditions do not have big problems with them. They follow the Bible in all things important.

  4. Edge says:

William Tinsdale, which certainly is better known by his real name William Tyndale, not killed or executed by the Church, also wrote "The Practyse of Prelates, opposing Henry VIII's divorce on the grounds that it is unscriptural to your After his death meant, that King Henry was a Protestant and the leader of the Anglican Church at this time. Get your story straight.
If the Church in the 1400-1550 era of corrupt and there were characters like "Bloody Mary", who followed King Henry and tried to return England to Catholicism, and there were many murders and sponsored by the corrupt military-backed by a Cardinal, but at no time does this reflects Catholicism today. It's really because of the reform that became more difficult for those who were interested in the interpretation of the Bible, to the point that even theologians and others were banned in his study. This is no longer true to date. Therefore, to say that Catholicism is hiding the truth of the Scriptures of his people, his followers blattant is a lie.
Finally, Rome had nothing to answer, the current pontificated a strong promoter of Theology, studying the Word of God, and the staff who are lay people, like you and me who have opposing views on the interpretation of a verse, better yet to reach their full understanding.
To say that we are idolators, devotees of Mary, the duplication, but there is nothing further to say that the Lord's Prayer, taught us that the Lord Himself for us to repeat as a guide to how we pray to the Father . So the Bible calls a sham.
You are nobody, myself, honestly, I repeat no one, saying that the Church is wrong in their ways, this church is the foundation of Christianity, including his own, the early Christian Church fathers died so you could have something to say anddon't believe in what we believe and therefore do not always criticizing without knowing the facts, starting with the correct spelling of William Tyndale.
Obviously, I think you are right in all his ramblings and supposed fixes, but you do not see the mistakes in his own way.
May God bless you and teach you to judge others is the only one left, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

The Catholic Church does not kill Tyndale.
      Church of England did.
Seems to have forgotten that all the land of history, where Henry VIII broke away from the Holy See because I wanted to divorce his wife and marry his mistress?
Eh, yes. Declared himself ruler of church and state. Executed Catholics will not renounce their faith and swear allegiance. Stole the church money and church land. Killed several wives. Religious burnt at the stake. You may wish to check the history of Tyburn Tree to find out how the whole world was denied religious freedom in England.
Tyndale was killed for even translating the Bible.
He was killed by printing a document that spoke out against Henry VIII's divorce. Henry killed many people who agree with him. Henry called it treason. Just as when Elizabeth I executed Edmund Campion to say mass.

This is the reverse of his injury as most likely to ignore the objection to Tinsdale chief or King James' boys. Passages which are translated incorrectly and have a tendency to misinterpret passages such as statues of Mary are proclaimed to be an idol, etc. ..

I suggest to ignore their own little pet massacres and take a look at the religious wars in Europe as a whole. Most likely, his mark or his immediate predecessor of the mark, has made the same outrageous actions.

  10. xxmachin says:

Catholics rely on the Bible, it simply does not make him an idol by sola scriptura.
Sola Scriptura, by the way, is unbiblical.
      Only Scripture refutes "Scripture alone"
Gen. to Rev. - Scripture never says that Scripture is the sole authority of the inerrant Word of God. Writing also requires the use of tradition. This fact alone disproves sola scriptura.
Matt. 28:19, Mark 16:15 - those who preached the Gospel to every creature, but he wrote the Gospel were not less obedient Jesus, his teachings or less.
Matt. 28:20 - "observe everything I have commanded", but as we see in John 20:30, 21:25, Jesus is not all taught in the Scriptures. So there must be things outside of Scripture that we must observe. This refutes the "Bible alone" theology.
Mark 16:15 - Jesus to the apostles to "preach" can not write, and only three apostles wrote. Others who did not write were not less faithful to Jesus, because Jesus gave them no directive to write. There is no evidence in the Bible or elsewhere that Jesus intended the Bible is the sole authority of the Christian faith.
Luke 1:1-4 - Luke acknowledges that the faithful have received the teachings of Christ and his Gospel is written only to "realize the certainty of the teachings he has received." Luke writes to verify the oral tradition already received.
John 20:30, 21:25 - Jesus did many other things not written in the scriptures. These have been preserved through the oral apostolic tradition and are also a part of the deposit of faith.
Acts 8:30-31, Heb. 5:12 - these verses show that we need help in the interpretation of Scripture. We can not infallibly interpret on our own. We need leadership divinely appointed within the Church to teach us.
Acts 15:1-14 - Peter resolves the Church's doctrine on the first question circumcision without referring to the Scriptures.
Acts 17:28 - Paul quotes the writings of pagan poets when he taught at the Aeropagus. Thus, Paul appeals to sources outside of Scripture to teach about God.
1 Cor. 5:9-11 - this verse shows that a letter written before Corinth is equally authoritative but not part of the New Testament canon. Paul is again a call to a source outside of Scripture to teach the Corinthians. This refutes the Scripture itself.
1 Cor. 11:2 - Paul commends the faithful to obey the apostolic tradition, and not just Scripture.
Phil. 4:9 - Paul says that what they have learned and received and heard and seen in me, yeah. There is nothing about obeying Scripture never alone.
Col. 4:16 - this verse shows that a letter written to Laodicea is equally authoritative but not part of the New Testament canon. Paul once again appeals to a source outside the Bible to teach about the Word of God.
1 Thess. 2:13 - Paul says, "when he received the word of God, you've heard of us .." How can the teaching of the Bible first century Christians that the Bible is their only source of infallible teaching, if, at the same time, oral disclosure is provided to them also? Protestants can not pretend that there is an authority (the Bible) while two sources of authority (the Bible and oral disclosure).
1 Thess. 3:10 - Paul wants the Thessalonians to see face to face and supply what is missing. Your letter is not enough.
2 Thess. 2:14 - Paul says that God has called us "through our gospel." What is the fullness of the Gospel?
2 Thess. 2:15 - the Gospel is the fullness of the apostolic tradition, which includes education, whether by word or by letter. Scripture does not say "own letter." The Catholic Church has the fullness of the Christian faith through its rich traditions of Scripture, oral tradition and teaching authority (or Magisterium).
2 Thess 3:6 - Paul teaches us to obey the apostolic tradition. There is no instruction in the Scriptures about obeying the Bible alone (the word "Bible" is not even in the Bible).
1 Tim. 3:14-15 - Paul prefers not to speak and write, and is written only if it is delayed and can not be with Timothy.
2 Tim. 2:2 - Paul says the apostolic tradition is passed on to future generations, but it says nothing about all the traditions they finally committed to the Apostolic Bible.
2 Tim. 3:14 - continue in what you have learned and know from whom I learned cree. Again, this refers to the tradition that lies outside of the Bible.
James 4:5 - James appealed to Scripture, even outside the canon of the Old Testament ( "He yearns jealously over the spirit that He has done …")
2 Peter 1:20 - the interpretation of Scripture is not a question of interpretation. Therefore, it should be a matter of "public" interpretation of the Church. The Divine Word needs a Divine Interpreter. Private trial leads to divisions, and that is why there are 30,000 different Protestant denominations.
2 Peter 3:15-16 - Peter said the letters of Paul are inspired, but not all cards are in the canon of the New Testament. See, eg, 1 Cor. 5:9-10, Col. 4:16. Also, Peter used the word "ignorant" means in school, reflecting the requirement of oral apostolic instruction that comes from the Church.
2 Peter 3:16 - the Scriptures are hard to understand and may be distorted by the ignorant to their destruction. God the Holy Spirit does not guarantee every one of us would infallibly interpret the Scriptures. But this is what Protestants must argue in support of their doctrine of sola scriptura. History and countless divisions in Protestantism disprove it.
1 John 4:1 - again, God teaches us all things to test, test all spirits. Despite what many Protestants argue, God's Word is not always obvious.
1 Sam. 3:1-9 - for example, the Lord spoke to Samuel, but Samuel does not recognize that God is. The Word of God is not self-certification.
1 Kings 13:1-32 - In this story, we see that a man can not discern God's word (the commandment "do not eat") and a prophet of the erroneous word (that God had rescinded his commandment "not eat "). The words of the Bible, despite what many Protestants to defend, are not always clear and understandable. This is why there are 30,000 different Protestant churches and one Holy Catholic Church.
Gen. to Rev. - Protestants must admit that knowing what books belong in the Bible is necessary for our salvation. However, because the Bible is "inspired index," you must look beyond the Bible to see how his books have been selected. This destroys the theory of Sola Scriptura. The canon of Scripture is a revelation of God which is necessary for our salvation, and that comes from outside the Bible. Instead, this revelation was given by God to the Catholic Church, the pinnacle and foundation of truth (1 Tim. 3:15).
Other passages used in support of "Sola Scriptura"
John 5:39 - some non-Catholics use this verse to prove sola scriptura. But when Jesus said that "the Scriptures," was the reprimand that Jews do not believe that He was the Messiah. Jesus says to the Scriptures to verify the Messianic prophecies and oral teaching, and it says "search the Bible alone." Furthermore, from the New Testament was not yet written, the passage is not relevant to the claim of Sola Scriptura Protestants.
John 10:35 - some Protestants also use this verse "the Scripture can not be broken" to demonstrate some of sola scriptura. However, this statement refers to the Scriptures of the Old Testament and has nothing to do with the exclusivity of Scripture and the New Testament.
John 20:31 - Protestants also use this verse to prove sola scriptura. Indeed, Scripture helps them learn to believe in Jesus, but this passage does not say scripture is unique, or even necessary, to be saved by Jesus.
Acts 17:11-12 - here we see the verse "who searched the Scriptures." This refers to the Bereans who used the Old Testament to confirm the oral teachings of the Messiah. The verses do not say the Bereans searched the Scriptures alone (which is what the protesters are trying to prove by quoting this passage). Moreover, the Bereans accepted the oral teaching of Paul as God's word before searching the Scriptures, which disproves the Berean use of sola scriptura.
Acts 17:11-12 - Also, the Bereans were more "noble" or "just ideas" meant that it was more reasonable and less violent than the Thessalonians in Acts. 17:5-9. His biggest fairmindedness because it was his use of Scripture, which Paul directed his listeners to do as was his custom (Acts 17:3).
1 Cor. 4:6 - this is one of the more confusing passages in Scripture. Many scholars believe that the phrase "do not go above the line" was inserted by a translator as an instruction to someone in the translation process. Others say Paul is quoting a proverb with regard to children learning to write follow-up letters. Saying that they are not above the line, it is probably Paul instructs not be arrogant. But even if the sentence is taken literally, to which Paul refers? The Talmud? The Mosaic law? Scriptures of the Old Testament? This proves too much for Protestants, since there is no canon of New Testament at the time Paul wrote this, and the text says nothing about the Bible as the only rule and guide of faith.
Rev. 1:11,19 - non-Catholics sometimes refer to Jesus commands John to write as supporting the theory that the Bible is the only source of Christian faith. Yes, Jesus of John, because John was writing in exile in Patmos and could not preach the Word (which was usual command of Jesus). Moreover, this commandment is limited to the book that John w

  11. Daver says:

Tyndale was executed for his heresy, at the time yet.
The Bible was born the tradition of our church from the church that Jesus founded. I am sure that part of the heresey Tyndale Bible was interprtein out side of church tradition. Can not make it intertwindeed do is heresey. is democratic, but it heresey. The New testment spoken aramic before it was written, and is easily missunderstood outside the church as we see Tyndale readlity fruit.
Cardinal Wolsey Catholic Church for heresy broght forward Tyndale during the time that Henry VIII was seeking his annulement from Catherine of Aragon. For his opposition to the annulement cardinal Wosley was accused of treason by the crown, but died before the king could make it.
The Catholic church was founded by Jesus and then wrote the Bible. First ciome the church or Jesus himself, who has written the bible instead of forming his church.
      What else have melted heretic?
The Catholic Church is "the" church because chirtian Jesus Christ "that he founded. This goes tlike the Word of God, Jesus, as we learn in the first chapeter the Gospel of John - Jesus is the Word of God, founded the Catholic Church, the Catholic Church after the former testment compilers and worte the new testment - the Bible .
Pay attention to your Jesus> Church> Bible. Tyndale was the printing and distribution of their heresy. The penalty Chirche no translation and printing. Jesus gave birth to the Church, the Church gave birth to the Bible - the Bible does not exist outside the Catholic school in outside the Catholic teaching of the Bible becomes something other than the Bible heresey. leadin for asrty ot as a false one docrtrine Tyndale Jesus was not executed, when it could do those things. These days no more than excummunicated. The church is Jesus in the Bible inside the church is the Bible uniteeligable (herresey) outside the church. Just as the church is out of unitelligible Jesus.
For these reasons they are fused in danger of losing their souls exist outside of our Lord, turn or burn.

  12. Johnny De J>C>B says:

Just a suggestion, but why not check their claims before they appear a fool?
The Bible does not contradict Catholic doctrine ANY. It really is a bad conclusion that defies common reason. Why the Catholic Church and approve as written inspired Scriptures that contradict their beliefs?
The truth is that the Church was the first to translate the Bible into vernacular languages. The Church forbids the poor translation and heretical as it should.
For your information, the Catholic Church has no idols, nor worship idols. Taking the time to read the Catechism of the Church knows that this is forbidden. We are not in vain prayers Catholic practice. You could use some study before appear as idiots. God bless you on your journey of awareness and gratitude for the opportunity to establish that the correct way.
      In Christ
      Fr Joseph
I know you are sincere and Edge thanks for the studio and ask about their Catholic faith and practice rather than being influenced by the anti-Catholic propaganda. God bless you, my friend!
      Note:
      ar,
In fact the Bible says is wrong and said that the reason they have no clue what you're talking about.
Did you know that the prayer of the Rosary is composed of the Scriptures and is entirely based on Scripture. Scriptures of Christians is not repeated duplication. If you think that is futile, please explain your opinion bazaar. Jesus repeated the same prayers. He was the same in violation of the scriptures that you quote or perhaps you are misinterpreting the teaching of Scripture. With a little study can tell that it is the latter.
      NOTE:
      DMD,
I do not know much about the Bible College Tennessee but I do know some things about being a theological education of two graduate seminars Protestant (Southeastern Baptist Theological University and Duke) and principles of the Church have taught history, Latin, OT and OT studies in prophecy a major Catholic seminary. It is sad to think that it is even possible that they have been taught that revisionist spin on the historical facts. I realize that many Protestants seminars today much of its basis for education on issues of anti-Catholic and this has become very common among Baptist seminars, but I encourage you to study diligently and not to remain influenced by these lies and outright bigotry. Obviously. Very little of what you wrote is true, and even what is true is spinning out of control to support the fight against prejudice Catholic. As a student of the Bible I hope the truth is important to you and request that they seek. I am a convert to Catholicism after 25 years as a Protestant pastor and missionary. If you feel you have a low opinion of the Bible, I worked for 10 years and of Gideon Bible Wycliffe Bible Translators as a smuggler, and spent a year in a Soviet prison for my efforts. Does this sound like a Catholic with a low view of Scripture? Do you realize that the average Catholic church teaching Scripture becomes more two months attending the Mass that most Protestants do in a year. The entire Bible is taught in a little over three years. The average Protestant never hear the whole Bible taught in their worship services. So what I'm saying, you know what you're talking about before the attack, as it may appear uneducated in the matter as we have here. Think about it, the Bible was written by Catholics under the inspiration of the Spirit and was approved for use in the teaching of the Catholic Church of the Church under the authority of Christ. The Bible clearly shows that all authority in the land of Jesus to his Church and not a book that was written that Jesus never told anyone to write. The Bible was not approved by the Church until the late fourth century and the beginning of the century V. These are historical facts. He was never given any authority in Scripture as the Bible is the sole authority of faith and practice but the Bible has no authority in education is given by the Church which has the clear authority as the "rule of faith" of the Church. The Church does not follow the Bible the Bible is still the Church and the Church. Not intended to be a rule of faith or catechism. These are the facts of the Christian faith delivered by Christ and the apostles. God bless!

  13. cristoig says:

I do not know who is William TInsdale, and therefore can not comment, except to say that I will not deny that some Catholics have done bad things in the name of the Church, like other Christians, in the name of Christianity. At other points:
1-Prayer in front of a statue of Jesus is not the statue of worship. Jesus does not really exist, and God and the statue is the work of art created to glorify him. Focusing on its image while you pray to Him is not the worship Staut itself. When the Jews created the golden calf in the desert, who worshiped the statue as a god, which is idolatry.
2-Catholics do not worship Mary. We honor her, like Jesus, your honor. We are supposed to imitate Jesus, right?
3-repeat a sentence is not "useless" because only repeating. It is vain to say when the words without thinking, thinking of words have power.
4-Catholics are not afraid of writing, is read as part of the mass each day, and taught in our Sunday schools and reading at home. Sola Scriptura does not follow because ironicaly, Sola Scriptura has no biblical basis. Jesus made a Church, however, and giving the keys of the Kingdom, "which has specific meaning. Create a line of succession. This is in writing. What people do not seem to recognize is that the authority of the Church is the assertion of claims to interpret the Scriptures and what it means to us. And if you think you are wrong, then ask yourself if the alternative is better? You may have studied scripture for many people who come to a conclusion and move forward together, or the Scriptures as interpreted by each individual, which leads to 100 separate Christian denominations, all speaking in different voices. The result of which (as seen on this site) is when someone seeks to Christ, and calls the view of "Christian" receiving tons of responses to conflict can only serve to confuse the message of God. All persons who claim to be guided by God in their interpretation. That is exactly why Jesus established his Church.
      Edit (for repsond their editions)
You are "the verse of search." Looking for a verse to support your argument without understanding the verse in the context of the whole book. Jeremiah speaks of them worshiping false gods, some of whom were goddesses. Prophecying if the punishment was not changed their behavior, not what people would be doing in the future. So how could be talking about Mary when she was not even born yet?
As for the rosary. Again, it is "vain" repetiton of prayer, not the repetition of the prayer is Condemar. Once again, the sentence, without thought, prayer or show, where the mind is not in God and the thought is that words are insufficient.

    1. Tinsdale was hanged by the British crown, not the Catholic Church.
      2. He translated it into German in a place where everyone speaks English, so it was not "their own language."
In addition, the Catholic Church because they do not want to translate translations achieve imperfections. In America, there are four words for "love." In English, it is obviously only one. Lost in translation.
The population at that time was largely illiterate and poor anyway. Could not read the Bible, even if they wanted, even if they could read, which had never offered one, so the point is moot. The Catholic Church began to use windows for transmitting the Bible to people who could not read them.
      3. The Catholic Church is nothing other than the worship of God. Worship someone or something other than God, you automatically excommunicated from the Church.
      4. They are not idols of Mary. They are nothing more than statues. An idol is a statue that is loved, but as I said, there is a statue of the Catholic religion.
      5. While there are repetitions, not in vain. Very useful. In addition, having to be in context, was a warning not to disturb you repeat over and over again to people who refuse to listen to you. The repetition of the Hail Mary (a sentence that is a direct quote from the Bible!) Was used as a means to help focus on certain points in the life of Jesus Christ.
      6. The Catholic Church has nothing to do with Rome more.
      7. Not based on the bible? That is why we read at all masses? So it is compiled? That's why it has been studied with vehemence in the last 2000 years? That's why some potatoes to make a practice of reading from beginning to end each month? So we have copies of original manuscripts to be studied daily? "Do not trust the Bible", my ***.
      8. Historically, the Catholic Church has never added to the deed. They use the same version that was compiled. These are other names that have come from the Bible.

    Hi,
No, unfortunately, by current standards in the Middle Ages, the church and state are intertwined, and various heresies crop until it is considered as much a clear and present danger to the structure of societies and the Communists were in the century 20, is now Islamic findamentalism. These threats were made fairly and delta around sometimes like others that pose threats to our Western culture and tradition for today. Maybe 500 years from now the "American dream" is classified as an idea in the face of an angel and the heart of a devil.
Indeed, when the Reformation is why John Calvin in his theocracy in Geneva, Michael Servetus burned, the Spanish philosopher at the stake? Good Queen Bess same emulated his father who killed 72,000 Catholics, in turn, by the death of most of the Spanish Inquisition.
But back to the issue. Perhaps forsaw RC church that gives the Bible to the masses at the time, terrible divisions that occur in a cleansing milk or pigs became their own experts to shepherd God's word. If so, I see your preminitions became a reality as the Protestants, who had all the answers and dividing the counter until it has hunndreds division of the churches that were unable to reach agreement and get their acts.
      Cheers,
      Michael Kelly
Edit - Whereas many Christians can quote many verses from the Bible, and Muslims cite verses from the Koran,
Many know nothing of its ancient and medieval history, which are also essential in understanding the Bible in its context.

Tyndale was murdered, apparently by order of Henry VIII, England, the first Protestant *:
"In 1530, he wrote The Practyse of Prelates, opposing Henry VIII's divorce on the grounds that it was unscriptural and a plot by Cardinal Wolsey to Henry caught in the papal court. This resulted in the wrath of the king * * goes to him, asked the emperor Charles V to have Tyndale arrested and returned to England [citation needed].
"Eventually, Tyndale was betrayed to the authorities. He was seized in Antwerp in 1535, betrayed by Henry Phillips, and held in the castle of Vilvoorde, near Brussels [6].
"He was tried on charges of heresy in 1536 and sentenced to death, despite Thomas Cromwell's intercession on their behalf. Tyndale was strangled and his body burned at the stake, according to John Foxe in October. [7] The records of Tyndale's imprisonment indicates the date could have been a few weeks earlier. [8]
"Tyndale final word" in the game with a fervent zeal and a loud voice, "was reported as" Lord! open the King of England's eyes. "[9]

  19. Agellius CM says:

Back before the Gutenberg press made the Bible chain to the podium, but when every word had to be handwritten so artistically very understandable.
Later on people were killed for translating the Bible as the Pope understands that when the Bible was allowed in the hands of people around the world to take the text out of context the way it is now with the 300,000 Christians different names.
Because the Bible was put into the hands of many of these beliefs as Sola Scriptura and the Rapture have become popular. Both are not in the Bible.
Other things to consider is that many things can be worded differently to bring up some misconceptions. King James made and omitted several books of the Old Testament, because he was too Catholic.
edit: Are you sure opened a can of worms asking this question anti-Catholic. Catholics have a network here and so do the anti-Catholic. Why do people intentionally rub the wrong way?

  20. Ten Commandments says:

Only Jesus, and started a church.
It is not the private interpretation of the Bible who has been appointed by God to be the master of man, but the Church of the Living God. Because if God had intended that man should learn their religion in a book of the Bible — — surely God would have given this book to the man, Christ would have given this book for men. He did? Did not. Christ sent His Apostles throughout the world and said: "Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. "
Christ said, "Sit down and write Bibles and scattering through the earth, and let everyone read his Bible and judge for himself." If Christ has said that have never been in a Christian land absolute, but a place of confusion and Babylon, and not a church, the union of one body. Christ never told his apostles: "Go and write Bibles and distribute, and that the whole world to judge for himself." Request that was reserved for the sixteenth century, and we saw the result. Since the sixteenth century have arisen in the religion to religion, the churches and the churches, all fighting and quarreling among themselves. And all because of private interpretation of the Bible. Christ sent His Apostles authority to teach all nations, and never gave any order to write the Bible. And the Apostles went out and preached everywhere, and planted the Church of God throughout the land, but never thought to write.
Testament. San Marcos wrote about ten years after Christ left this earth; San Lucas about twenty-five years, San Juan and around sixty-three years after Christ established the Church of God. St. John wrote the last part of the Bible Book of Revelation — — about sixty-five years after Christ had left this world and the Church of God had been established. The Catholic religion has existed sixty-five years before the Bible was completed before it was written.
Not only sixty-five years to leave the Church of Christ had established without a Bible, but over three years. The Church of God was established and was spreading throughout the world without the Bible for over three years. In all that time people did not know what is the Bible.
It was not until the fourth century to the Pope of Rome, the head of the Church, the successor of Saint Peter, the bishops of the world gathered in a council. And there at the council decided that the Bible, as the Catholics have now, is the Word of God and the Gospel of Simon, Nicodemus, Mary, the childhood of Jesus, and Barnabas, and all those other epistles were false or at least unauthentic, at least, that there was no evidence of their inspiration, and that the Gospels of St. Luke, Matthew, Mark and John, and the Book of Revelation, were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Until that time the whole world for three years did not know what the Bible was, therefore, can not take the Bible for his guide, since I did not know what is the Bible. That our Divine Savior, where the man destined to learn their religion in a book, have left the Christian world three hundred years without that book? No.
It is admitted by all sides, by Protestants and Catholics alike recognized that Christ established a Church, and, strange to say, all our Protestant friends recognize also that He has created, but a Church but a Church — - - for, when speaking of Christ, His Church, is always singular.
If Jesus is God, and He has left the Catholic Church as His instrument of salvation in the land, then we can create ourselves in any other way of salvation that God gave us. In other words, we can not say to God: "Thank you for your plan, but I do it my own way." What the Second Vatican Council had to say on the matter is that some have a saving communion with the Church even if they do not have an intellectual understanding of them. In other words, are members of the Church, albeit in a flawed manner, but are outside the visible confines of the Church.

  21. Jack says:

How did you come to the Bible, it did fall from the sky? English was the language used throughout Christian history? How many people were literate, and did you ever wonder why there are pictures in the windows?
Fundamentalist have much to answer and when it did in the Bible says there will be churches? Why not eat the bread of life? I think it is difficult to believe in a religion, a fundamentalist Catholic faith, after Catholics have been with us since the beginning, and are responsible for the Bible you read.

  22. Niceguy2 says:

The Catholic Church arose from the Christian religion. They became self-centered, instead of having to Christ / God the center of their belief system and started to use the human mind to tell people what God wanted mankind to know and be. They were located in the plan of God and destroyed the extent possible.
Sola Scriptura, meaning "read only" is not a teaching of the Catholic Church. His teaching is that tradition is equal to or takes precedence over writing.

  23. mesquite says:

Because he wanted to talk to your version of truth.
The New Testament is arguably the most poorly translated literature that never existed.

  24. neil5623 says:

Of course, you are right. What group follows the Scriptures, and the powerful love of the Scriptures, YAHOSHUA? And based on your day off on Saturday? Organized religion is the "Babylon" we are told to leave.

  25. hasse_jo says:

Because the Bible has found pornographie.

  26. mistersm says:

And the plot thickens ……. Oh, how I wish that (the Catholic Church) are just some of a story book or a movie. Every time you turn around, learn new ways of the Catholic Church has been deceived, or detained, punished or some human being or group of persons.
Here is an excerpt from an ex-Catholic who gives his opinion on how the Catholic Church:
I see Catholicism hyperinstitutionalized is a version of Christianity and as such has suffered many of the shortcomings of that fact. (See also the shortcomings of Institutionalized Christianity) His ecclesiology is more for a model that the Levitical priesthood of the New Testament model. And also what led him along the trappings of legalism that Jesus and his apostles criticized. In Catholicism there is a split between clergy and laity that elitist, but to some extent, the Protestant churches is even more in the Catholic Church. In fact, in a discussion with a supporter of the Catholic elite, he said, "There'sa big difference between an ordinary Catholic and a Catholic education is in your faith." He is, of course, saying that " ordinary Catholics "are not educated in their faith. Why is it that ordinary evangelical Christians are far more educated in their faith - much more knowledgable about the Bible - the "ordinary Catholic"? Not to say anything? Http: / / http://www.bcbsr.com / topics / catholic.htm …
2nd Timothy 3:16,17 means nothing to a Catholic who does not understand the Scriptures, that God, our Creator, (despite what it says Rome) survived and prospered said outside the Catholic hierarchy for the entire humanity to learn the truth about Him and His Son?
16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproving, for setting things up, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

  27. daydream says:

The time that you are referring to is commonly known as the "Dark Ages". Before the French Revolution Europe remained in the so-called dark because all the literature is censured by [through] the Roman Catholic Church. The Bible only people knew how common they are n-chapter-verse, read by the priest during mass.
There were, of course special few who had the truth is, the Bibles. They were the enemy of the church and is commonly known as Waldensians. These people lived in the mountains of Switzerland [area]. They use to cook with fresh loaves of bread the pages of the Bible into hiding, so they were able to hide the Bread of Life, within the edible [literal] bread!
The light refers to the Bible, which dispells the darkness of ignorance.

  28. D.R. says:

Back to what was happening, the church is trying to maintain their power. Considered that the Bibles and their translators as heresy and blasphemy. The Church was wrong, but should have had a real respect for difference of opinion and religion does not pursue these people.
How can you respect people you consider to be heretics and blasphemers? Not so, I imagine, and I suspect that if I could burn all his writings and tear it up at your feet, I would.
So do not blame the Catholic Church to do something you might be tempted to do yourself, but if you have the power.

  29. Chantal G says:

    Two words:
      Spiritual strength.

  30. heather of the fields says:

The Catholic church makes every effort to denigrate the role of the Bible. His tactic is to destroy faith in the Bible as the final authority to which men will be driven by the direction of Rome. One of their longstanding claims that people in the early centuries of the church had no Bible as we do today and even if they do not can not read them. If people back then were so illiterate, so why waste time writing Pilate of Jesus on the cross, "This is the king of the Jews" in Greek, Latin and Aramaic (Luke 23:38)? How could the people of Berea search the Scriptures daily (Acts 17:11)? Why did Paul told the Ephesians, "When you read, you understand" (Ephesians 3:4), if most of them could not read?
Exaggerations about the rates of illiteracy and lack of access to the books of the Bible in the first three centuries, are typical in Catholic teaching. But this is wishful thinking on his part. Catholicism flourishes in a climate of biblical ignorance, and what better argument against sola scriptura Catholics make clear that most people in the ancient world could not read? How can the Catholic Church creating more doubts about the reliability of the New Testament that say that most people do not even know which books belonged to it, much less have copies of them in the first three centuries?
Interestingly, one of the first Catholic fountainheads admits that copies of the Scriptures were translated into possession of many people outside of the adoption of the Catholic clergy. Augustine did not like the fact that many "secular Christians" are trying, complaining about 397 in:
. . . diversities among translators. For translations of the Bible from Hebrew into Greek can be counted, but the Latin translators are all numbers. In the early days of the faith that each man who came to get their hands on a Greek manuscript, and I thought I had some knowledge, never been so short of the two languages, ventured into the work of translation.
If the population of the early Christian world was largely illiterate and cut off access to manuscripts Bible, then why do so many speak of Augustine get his hands on them and their translation in the early days of the faith " ? This former Catholic authority, which acts as a hostile witness, Catholic betrays modern perversions of the ancient world.
The same image painted common people in medieval times and Reform. Average men and women are depicted as uneducated to read and understand the Bible. But Catholics can not deny that through the efforts of John Wycliffe (1320-1384), the Bible was given to man in common English. To show their hatred for their work, the Catholic authorities and thirty-one years after his death he ordered his bones removed from his grave and burned. However, Graham ridiculed the belief that the common people during the early days of the Reformation had an interest and ability to read the Bible. He mocks the idea that ploughmen and pastors in the country read the New Testament in English by stealth, or as carpenters and blacksmiths pores in the most of your pages on the corner of his teacher workshops
Catholics say that most people before the invention of printing, either orally learned Christianity of the Catholic Church or not, and could not know that at all. This is just another Catholic argument that is designed to scare people to become Catholics. Because if most people were illiterate in ancient and off reading the Bible for themselves, and the Bible is our guide to heaven, then this means that most people that were lost because of circumstances beyond their control. Catholics want to accept this representation it is deceptive in the belief that the Catholic Church was the only hope for the poor souls, and remains the only means of salvation for us today. The argument is based on the false premise that the very arrogant and Catholic teaching, not the Bible, is the highest source of religious authority in the land!
History abounds in the Church with evidence that rejects the Catholic claim of widespread illiteracy and extreme shortage of Bibles before the Reformation. Verduin writes certain "heretics" detained in Trier in the thirteenth century, which were described by authorities at the time as "well-versed in Scripture, which have in the translation Teutonic These dissidents were certainly not Catholics, despite that he had copies of the Bible into Teutonic, a Germanic Language of age and experienced the Bible! Further evidence that copies of the Bible exists outside the scope of the Catholic is the adoption of a decree of the bishop of Liege in 1203 that "all books containing Scripture in Roman or Teutonic language was in hands of the bishop, who was returning to his trial should be returned. This measure is fairly remarkable, if not the common people had their own Bibles or they could be next! Verdiun continues, "the copy to hand copies of the Scriptures in the vernacular was still made and used.
People who dare to possess and distribute these copies of the Bible is in danger of their lives. Many of them were executed by Catholic authorities. But if, as claimed by the Catholics present, most common people can not obtain a copy of the Bible and read for themselves, then why does the Catholic Church to execute these people? As with many other Catholic arguments, it has been weighed in the balances and found wanting.

  31. Gardener for God(dmd) says:

Roman Catholic Church does not belong to the church of God and the members are not true Christians.
