Is the Catholic / Orthodox Doctrine of Mediation heretical in any passage of the Protestant Bible?

I am interested in the Orthodox branch of the Christian church and I understand that Orthodox believers pray through Mary and the saints, unlike Jesus and God directly. Is there any way to defend this practice in the Old or New Testament? Even if no, what I'm most curious about whether or not it is specifically condemned.
  Thank you very much!

Catholics and Orthodox are false. Here's why:
The first Christians in Acts in the Bible were not Catholic or Orthodox. They were in the fundamentalist doctrine. Anyone can read documents and see for themselves
Orthodox and Catholics do not exist for more than 300 years later.
Both Orthodox and Catholics teach a false gospel of works ( "sacraments") that leads to eternal hell (Galatians 1:6-9). Orthodox and Catholics are not Christians
Jesus wants a personal relationship with you. Catholics and Orthodox can not give it.
Catholic / Orthodox faith = + = does not work salvation and eternal torment in hell
= Christian faith in Jesus alone for salvation, without works, and added our own salvation = eternity in heaven with Jesus! :)
Only faith in Jesus alone saves! Salvation is a free gift that happens in a split second when you believe in Jesus! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation.
The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and reach heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell is by believing in faith alone that Jesus is God, died for our sins on the cross as full payment for all our sins, then Jesus was resurrected from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). And I think this will be in heaven, no matter what!
Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Thank you for eternal life! "You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die. :)

The Bible mentions anyone anywhere to ask someone in heaven to pray for them. The Bible nowhere describes anyone in Heaven praying for anyone on earth. (2) The Bible gives absolutely no indication that Mary or the saints can hear our prayers. Mary and the saints are not omniscient. Even glorified in heaven, remain finite beings with limitations. How could hear the prayers of millions? Whenever the Bible mentions praying to or speaking with the dead is in the context of sorcery, witchcraft, necromancy, and divination - activities the Bible condemns (Leviticus 20:27, Deuteronomy 18:10-13).
The verses in Revelation about the Christian saints and prayer are often used to defend this false doctrine of prayer for the dead, but keep in mind, these people are "living" is not dead.

    No.
The prayer of meditation is a practice and not a doctrine.
This book of the law does not depart from your mouth, but you must meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it, then you'll make your way prosperous and , then you will succeed. (Joshua 1:8)
However, your satisfaction is the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. (Psalm 1:2)
Tremble, and do not sin, meditate in his heart to his bed and be still. (Psalm 4:4)
Meditate on these things, give yourself wholly to them, that you may benefit everyone. (1 Timothy 4:15)
Catholics have been meditating for almost 2000 years. Meditation for Catholics is an attempt to understand why and how of Christian life, to respect and respond to what God asks.
One way is to have this done by reading the Scriptures, asking God to give understanding, and then meditating in his heart.
Here is the Pope in the promotion of meditation of Scripture: http://www.zenit.org/article-14003?l=eng

I'm not an Orthodox Christian and Catholic, but never needed to ask the Virgin Mary or the saints to pray for us, but it is taught and encouraged as a sign that says to read about the vials of Revelation prayers of the saints under the altar. You can pray directly to God / Jesus like. But everything we believe in the communion of saints, and if you ever walk through the catacombs of Rome will see requests for a prayer for those buried there and still here that is a big part of Christians Church. You need a Catholic Bible, but I think the second book of Maccabees read the prayer and offering sacrifices to the dead. But in the New Testament is to find any instruction clear to ask the saints to intercede on our behalf, but then things commonly excepted practices and would not have felt a need to write about it.Also the early Christians did not have the Bible in 300 years and suggests that comforting feeling know that we have friends in heaven praying for us.Take Notice how desperate as CJ and Rene are to know the truth.

  5. HenryIX says:

    Read Revelation.
You will see that the angels and saints offer up prayers of Christians on earth before the throne of God.
The saints in heaven pray for us that is true, just read your Bible. Saints see everything relating to God in them, they see face to face.

  6. Darth Eowyn says:

There is a term associated with this and is called intercession. Yes, it's biblical. Since there are too many to copy and paste quotes to prove it, here is the link and you can read for yourself. Is Catholic, not Orthodox, but it is the same thing.http: / / http://www.scripturecatholic.com / saints. …

  7. Dispensa says:

I understand that all Protestants …
"There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Tim 2:5 th Catholic bible versions).
Moreover, neither Mary nor anyone else can do madiation to cause anyone to do that need to be omniscient. Mary is not. If she is, she can not hear, nor any prayer to know the thinking of anyone. Only Jesus is able to know the thoughts (Revelation 2:23)

    My position: Christian Fundamentalism
Well, first of all, the passage of others is referred to Rev 5:8. We also note that the Roman Catholics (CRs) believe that these saints, though dead, now alive in heaven. Counters that the response which made a point that the elderly are living in Revelation.
Secondly, here is the passage about Jesus is the only mediatorhttp: / / http://www.studybibleforum.com / htm_php.p …
Note: Jesus is the only mediator between God (the Father) and man. Resident coordinators believe that the prayer of intercession to Mary is the same as asking a fellow Christian to pray for you. In other words, the saints (CRs believe) are "prayer partners" and, indeed intercede (or mediate, if you prefer) between CRs and Jesus * * As someone who prayed for you to pray to God with the help of a mediator, Jesus, so that the resident coordinators believe that the saints are praying for them through a mediator, Jesus.
I will say that I think the "omniscient" thing most telling point against the prayer to the saints. For me, it seems unlikely that the prayer to the saints is effective, and it also seems that Scripture encourages us to pray to the Father through Jesus. However, despite that I do not really believe that Scripture forbids (or even mentioned), prayer to the intercession of dead saints.
To put it more simply: I do not know whether "saints" can listen to prayers and intercede on our behalf. Furthermore, the Bible does not encourage us to pray so. However, I do not know of any Scripture that prohibits this practice.
