Is there someone who just became Catholic recommend a book or site?
that addresses the typical questions that many people have questions about Catholicism?
No overlycerebral questions, like the majority of Catholics have heard b4, like "Why pray to Mary, or the statues" - as you know that.
I'm trying to find a book for Catholics who answers, and explains why Catholics believe what they do.
convuluted not too - I do not want to read a book of 5000 pages on the doctrine, as well as answer questions about Catholicism.
thanks.

Complete Idiot's Guide to the Catholic understanding of Bob O'Gorman. I'm not being sarcastic. I just checked out of the library and is a great book that provides the basics in an easy to read format. As to specific questions such as Why pray to Mary, you can find at any website, such as Catholic http://www.catholic.org. The answer is not to pray to Mary or a saint, asking the saint or Mary to pray for them, like asking a Baptist pastor or the congregation to pray for him.
I really do not understand why people go to a question about Catholicism to
1. Slam of religion
2. try to make the questioner to another religion
and 3. Do not answer the question.
please encourage them to not just jump in the Catholic faith, without investigating what the Protestant faith has to offer. Catholics focus on both the work and not enough on the grace
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"
1 Timothy 2:5
should not pray to saints or Mary, because Christ is the only mediator between God and us.
There is no purgatory Bible speaks of is that heaven or hell
There are many other things and I would really encourage you to seek the truth for himself. Open your Bible and find what the grace of Christ is really, because it's so amazing!
probably there is an edition of … "for Dummies" out there.
Apologetics is not too long either.
In other words, you are looking for a source that covers the "basics" …

Yahushua Shalom
I have a book or website but I would suggest to suggest a television program. Rock of Love, starring Bret Michaels. It is truly a study on the internal workings of our society as a whole during this tumultuous time in the history of our nations. I think you may be able to draw some very real and deep Catholic consultation on its findings. If you studied, you may find many parables of Jesus Christ rival.
