Catholics know that they can pray directly to Jesus, God the Father or the Holy Spirit, as individuals or collectively as the Trinity. Either way they are praying to God. That is a Catholic doctrine. The prayers ask for some non-deity (not a member of the Trinity) as one of the saints are asking someone who is closer to God to intercede on our behalf. As you recall, the angels in the Old Testament refer to some of those who "are before the throne of God." These special Archangels who held a higher rank. Also, the saints who have proven worthy of being in the sky are nearer to God because they have been washed clean in the blood of the Lamb. We sinners are still fighting against flesh and our need to prove ourselves worthy ending to the race, as Paul did. The intercession of the saints can be personally place our prayers before the throne and to help us in moments of weakness. They often use God as He uses only the angels or messengers to inspire and enlighten us. Of course, the saints can not and do nothing that is not in the perfect will of God. Mary is considered the primary holy because God held its favor, especially since the dawn of creation. She was in his divine plan and mentioned in the Book of Genesis as the enmity between her and the serpent and his seed will crush his head. When it was created was preserved from original sin the same as the rest of the shared humanity. This was not for your benefit, but to make the ship which is God Incarnate, without stain of sin. Although the teachings of the Catholic Church had remained sinless Mary (virgin) until her death, that does not mean you do not require the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. I needed to accept Jesus as their savior as much as everyone else. Again, this is the teaching of the Catholic Church. Why do we want to go to Jesus through Mary? We want everyone to stand in front of Jesus in our view, as did Mary. 1) Mary was without sin. Born sinless and remained that way. 2) Mary was obedient to God. The acceptance of His Will for her to be pregnant before marriage, to accept the humiliating death of his Son and God in a Roman cross. The idea of Jesus by Mary is to imitate his example of humble obedience to God, no matter what you are asking. Do not worship it - as a creature. Do not hide from God - because God knows everything. But to try to be as good as a follower and disciple was. The more we can imitate Mary, can not help but bring us closer to Jesus because it always points the way to it. As in the wedding in Cana, when he said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." (BTW - His last recorded words in the Bible.) BTW - For Catholics who have not heard of this was from the writings of St. Louis De Montfort (1673-1716). "The more we honor the Blessed Virgin, more HONOR JESUS, because we honor Mary ONLY YOU CAN MORE THAN HONOR JESUS perfectly, because she only go to the way in which we find in the end we are looking for, which is Jesus. "

Mary was a wonderful human ... but like the sin of all eels. The only person not to sin is Jesus Christ. You can not pray to a person who has died. Do souls die? "The soul that sinneth, it dies." Ezekiel 18:20. "Every living soul died in the sea." Revelation 16:3. According to God's Word, souls do die! We are souls, and souls die. Man is mortal (Job 4:17). Only God is immortal (1 Timothy 6:15, 16). The concept of an eternal, immortal soul goes against the Bible, which teaches that souls are subject to death. Do good people go to heaven when they die? "All those in the tombs will hear his voice and will." John 5:28, 29. "David ... is both dead and buried and his tomb is with us today. "" For David is not ascended into heaven. "Acts 2:29, 34. "If I wait, the grave is my house." Job 17:13. People do not go to heaven, either in hell or death. Go to their graves awaiting the resurrection day. King David was saved in the kingdom of God. However, it is now in his grave, which awaits the resurrection. How much knowledge or understanding of death? "The living know that they died, but the dead know not anything, nor have more than a reward for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love and their hate and their envy, is now dead, or have only a portion forever in anything that is done under the sun. "" There is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, where you Goesten. Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10. "The dead praise not the Lord." Psalms 115:17. God says that the dead know absolutely nothing! Since the Day of Reckoning has not happened .. people who die are still in the graves therein Mary. There are people in the Bible that are now in heaven (Moses Ennoch, Elliah), but not in the Bible where it saids Mary in the sky. Yes Christians do pray for others, but We pray for others who are alive and to pray for health insurance or unit etc.but to lead the prayer to God. Do not pray for people who r dead.

An honest question ..... when was the last time you visited a Catholic church to reach this conclusion? Last I know NOT to pray through Mary. Honor Mary as the bearer of his savior and the bearer of Christ to the earth, but nothing is heard about prayer through Mary. NO Catholics pray to Jesus.

What I asked several people praying for you when you need one? Why can not you just pray to Jesus himself? Is not that enough? Why do you ask friends to pray for you too if you can go directly to Jesus? In the same way we ask Mary to pray for us. And besides that, what a good Jewish boy did not listen to your mother? :)

Catholics know that they can pray directly to God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We pray to Mary and ask her to pray for us, just as you can ask a friend to pray for you. What is the theory behind ask someone to pray for you ... that the more people praying the better right? So Mary, the Mother of God pray for you, it's awesome! Not to mention she is our mother too. Jesus gave us all when I was on the cross. As a mother who prays for us and desires for us to find salvation through his son.
