The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ. Protestant churches were founded by men who claim to be followers of Jesus.

Many of the differences. My opinion is basically the Catholic emphasis on the rites of Christianity (and I'm being too general) Protestants tend to emphasize the meaning and the words of Christ.
Obviously, there was a Protestant.
It was in an area with a high Catholic population so there was a lot of interaction and discussion of aspects differening of different practices. My view is tainted by this situation and for having made the mistake of marrying a Catholic.

There are many, but "Justification by faith alone," was the main reason for the Protestant Reformation in 1500. Martin Luther said this is the issue where the church and stands or falls. The Roman Catholic Church says anyone who believes in faith in Christ alone for salvation - the person is going to hell. The RAC said that there has to be good works and sacraments as well as faith. The New Testament says that faith is the only Gospel and allowances is a gospel that is not really the gospel.
Protestants say that the Bible is the final authority. The RAC said that Rome is the final authority.

It's pretty obvious these days in the 3 visible differences are:
1. Catholics have the Pope as head of his Church
2.The Catholics believe in the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and saints
3.The religious leaders of the Catholic church make a vow of celibacy …. for but there are more differences

From what I've learned, Protestants believe they are born with sin and that nothing can be exempt from that sin.
Non-Catholics.
And most - if not all - of the Catholic rites are based on the earlier tradition, which gave them a bad reputation among other Christians, who believe that tradition is a pagan nature.

In regard to 1500 the Catholics were so completely apostate protests.
with regard to Christians of all churches and Catholics were then and certainly now that we now believe in Martians.But again the Romans were the leaders of the false gods.
The churches are so far from the truth that God is sick and is sick as a sentence begins at the house of God and hell comes to all churches and Anti Christ is in their churches.

Catholics have the Pope as head of the church on earth and believe that the teaching of the church and tradition are important. Some lessons can be saints are prayed to God to intercede, purgatory and sins can be forgiven by confession and actions.
Protestants protested against the teaching of the Catholic Church and believe that the Bible is the all sufficient rule for faith and conduct. That every believer can speak directly to God through Jesus Christ. Forgiveness of sins comes through faith, not actions.
But at the end of the day ordinary believers are all sons and daughters of the living God, and are saved through faith in Jesus Christ.

I think there is not much difference, a lot of religions are equal. They have traditions and believe that someone other than Jesus is the head of the church (the pope), but clearly are not. Most religions are made up of traditions rather than the Bible even though their traditions are not the same as all strive for the same purpose. Personally for me traditions not only belong to the church in the Bible.
Ephesians 1:21-23
21 far above all principality and power and strength and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this century, but what lies ahead.
22 And He put all things under his feet, and gave the head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
