Catholics are Christians, but differ in the fact that Catholics pray to saints and the Virgin Mary. There are a lot of different rituals, too. If you have not batpized in the Catholic church, and gone through the confirmation, you are not Catholic. you are a Christian .. some kind of Protestant (not being a Catholic Christian). depends on what you identify with the Church. you could be Luthern, Baptist … etc

Christians believe in Jesus, God the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, but Christians do not worship or pray to Mary (I think that Catholics are not sure). Christians pray to God and ask forgiveness for their sins. God hears our prayers, not only when we ask forgiveness.

Here is the key to saving a relationship with God:
Talk to him directly through His Son Jesus Christ and with the help of the Holy Spirit.
You do not need dead saints or Mary to pray for you. They will hear their prayers and that he could help, even if they could.
Mary was a sinner who needs salvation, like you and me.
Confess your sins to God - NO MAN ever need to hear their sins.
Pray to God properly YOU LIVE IN YOUR PRESENCE!

Catholics are the original Christians - who meet in the New Testament and Christianity began - 1, in fact, Christians are Catholics IN3 - a course that organized religion has its flaws - but so do thousands of other Christian tribes.

isn't too praing Holy Mary or any other type of prayer as a false idol? im not religious, but shouldn't send direct all prayers also the great man?

The difference between a "tree" and an "oak." Catholicism is only one sect (denomination) of Christianity.
Christianity is the religion that focuses on Jesus and the Gospels. That is all that separates it from all other religions of the world. Of course, so many groups of people have different ideas on how best to go for it. So Christianity has many sects: the Protestants, Presbyterians, Methodists, leaders, Quakers, Episcopalians, Southern Baptist, a traditional Baptist, 7th Day adventurous, Calvinists, the Jesuits, and many others, including many Catholics.
Of course, Christians have a natural tendency of his own section, making it difficult to get an objective answer on issues like this.

Catholic means universal.
Catholics are the descendants of the original Christians.

Every second of the Catholic mass is choreography. Most other Christian services are not as rigidly ordered. Catholicism seems to give an excessive veneration of Mary. Other Christian denominations do not tend to venerate such a degree.
