What is the problem with women to be priests in the Catholic Church?

What is the biblical answer to this question? I just want to know why this issue is divided many religions, not just Catholicism.
If we are all "equal" in the face of God … as many Christians have been saying in response to another question … What's the big deal about the equality of women taking a leadership role in church? Why not a woman pope?

Would need some understanding about the process of decision making in the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church is a very diverse body. There are more internal variation within the Catholic Church that is in all of Protestantism. All Protestant groups have analog in the Church, the reverse is not true.
First, the Bible was canonized 350 years after Jesus' death. There was a book that someone could call the Bible to reference. Often they cite Scripture, but does not refer to the NT in the early church. They did mention that was also delivered in traditional, of the apostles. The Bible is part of what was delivered, but not all of what was delivered.
In the early church women were ordained in major orders, a deacon, priest or bishop. There was a Deaconess, but their arrangements are different from men. Because the early Christians have not done, the Church can not change now. When John Paul II asked to rule on domestic women, who ruled that he could not change anything. Popes and bishops can not make changes in beliefs, even if those beliefs no longer make sense. Just because the roles have changed does not change what was delivered. Jesus was quite radical, if Mary Magdalene had wanted to be an apostle, who could have made one. None of the Twelve, or the Septuagint were women. This may have been just practice for some reason. However, what one is.
Unlike Protestants who get to vote at the conference about what we believe, the rule of the Catholic Church is simple. What did the early Christians and believe? That guides everything else.

I must say that I agree with Lionheart … but to answer the question, perhaps looking at how religion to women, even, as in the old testiment time, women have no rights … even when people have numbers, not including women or children … As in a family, women will never become the head is God's standard.
But when you look at other religions such as Islam, women do not take part in paper … but now, many of the churches that women do or Rev pastor, and most are doing well or even better than the man .. . as a good thing about women, it may be very true:)

Catholicism is based on a large number of values of the old world, one does not like the idea of women leaders.

A pope in the first place that require women to be priest.
I do not know the answer to your question, but I can say I find it sexist that the Corporation does not allow Catholics to women clergy. They also like to hide and child molesters who have never seen the Vatican? For people who take a vow of poverty, which is probably more net worth of Fort Knox.

Catholic schools as a whole is a false doctrine and has many contradictions in the Bible.
Christ said to call no man father, however, call the Catholic Pope Holy Father. The Pope is a sinner like all other human beings.
The Bible says not to try to talk to the dead, however, many Catholics pray to Mary, who was chosen by God to give birth to Christ, however, is only a simple woman with no super natural attributes, she is dead and can not hear the prayers. Nothing in the Bible indicates that it can.
One of the 10 commandments says to have no other gods before you, why Catholics pray to Mary as a god, not to mention again that sin to pray to a statue of his present, that is idolatry.
Another mistake is they do not allow priests to have a wife, Christ said that man must marry if they can not burn in lust.
It never said, except the priests, who are men. Catholic priests who are not allowed to marry throughout history have been observed in the media for children and other sexual abuse scandals, this is the result of burning lust, sexual ends.
A Pope is not even mentioned in the Bible, and you do not need a position, the world does not need a pope to what ever.
He is a sinner like all other men and the needs of salvation as we are.
