I joined the Catholic Church, because I love the tradition. I'm a woman and I believe that women should not be ordained to the priesthood. Only one man can act in persona Christi. Persona Christi is a Latin phrase meaning "in the person of Christ" I respect the church, the structure, content, and I am Catholic. Many women who have to struggle to be ordained, they are typically very disrespectful and wrong use of the word of the Pope, bishops, priests, or that someone disagrees. The Catholic Church is not a democracy.

1) What is the problem with the Catholic Church does not allow women to become a priest? Nothing. It is a commandment of Scripture. 2) Why is it that so many people have such a big problem with the Catholic Church does not allow women to become a priest? Due to the desire of some women religious authority and prestige associated with the office. This is understandable: the holding of such office of the church gives the individual the opportunity of doing "good work" that would otherwise be denied. However, it must be scriptural command ... 3) Honestly, I think it is a tradition and should remain so, and next to nobody is forcing people to be Catholic anyway. Should we get rid of every single tradition? Well, no. However, if * only * tradition, I hope the Roman Catholic Church to stamp it out. The need for clergy, and providing the opportunity to serve God more fully, are much more important than any mere "tradition" (eg, the traditional Latin Mass, which was removed because it was in fact a barrier to participation in the Mass). However, again over some mere tradition is found in a plain teaching of Scripture. Never ceases to amaze me that there are Christian sects that allow women and active homosexuals to hold church office - both a clear violation of the commandments in Scripture. It may be unfortunate for women's rights that women are prevented from being pastors - but the fact is that Scripture does precisely this, and most Christians believe that Scripture is the word of God. I do not bother myself why God included with this restriction, it is enough for me to have done so. Jim, http://www.bible-reviews.com

The New Testament says that every Christian is a priest and can approach God directly. There are no references in the New Testament to the "office of the priest." So the question should be, "Why no church has yet served as a priest?" Saint Peter (who was married) said in the Bible: 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, who may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

... The Universal Church of Rome is run by a group of old men who dress as if you just stepped off a chessboard ... "they" have over the millennia, altered, skewed, and skillfully "tweak" the Scriptures through their "dogmas, traditions, rules and regulations", catechisms and pseudo spiritual gymnastics that held in the followers of "the slavery of religion" (female monk called closing, priests called "father" and a man who is thought to be infallible) ... "Yes" to continue word of God and not his "religious" nonsense "that" would fall apart ...
really a lack of understanding of what exactly is the priesthood. The priest is for the groom at the wedding between Jesus and his Church, and he is the only animal (male of the species according to the law of the Old Testament) that could be offered for the expiation of sin that makes every Mass. How would a woman standing on the groom with the bride only point to condone gay marriage, no? The woman is not for the groom.

Yes, it's tradition that goes back to the institution of all men apostles. However, this does not mean men are better than women. They are just different. I guess that's just people trying to break the gender barrier. However, it is a tradition. People need to respect that.

WWJD? What Would Jesus? The Catholic Church currently teaches: The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed in his ministry. The Church recognizes herself to be bound by this choice made by the Lord Himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible. For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, sections 1577: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt2s ... With love in Christ.

There is nothing wrong with not letting women be priests, Christ does not want women to be priests, came to Peter (Matthew chapter 15) that says something about the lines of, You are Peter and on this rock will build my church and evil will not prevail. or something like that. If the woman who wanted to be preists would have gone to a woman ... But very important roles for women in the Catholic Church. It's like a girl is not to build body a man is not supposed to give birth. It's just how Jesus is for us, so yes, it's also tradition =]

Yeah, I mean, is not like the Christmas holidays and Easter is no longer marketed. This demonstrates that the church is so good in keeping the traditions.

They think it is wrong for women to be priests because of their gender and that the Bible says that women should remain silent in the faith.
