Why do many Christians dislike or even hate Protestants Catholics and the Catholic Church?
Most Cathlics just want to be accepted as Christians. We do not put above God, Mary or any other stranger who had heard rumors. When it boils down to is that we believe in God, His Son Jesus who died for our sins and was resurrected from the dead and the Holy Spirit to complete the Holy Trinity. God forgives our sins, as does yours and we will all be together in Heaven as God's children not as "Protestant" or "Christian" and "crazy" or "cult members." The Next time you're thinking of insulting Catholics be sure not talking to one. Perhaps I could get there and say "I accept that as a fellow Christian, my brother."

POLITICS.
Politics and religion go hand in hand. Since Protestantism began in the XV, XVI, many kings became the head of his own church. In this way, had all the power in their hands.
Eventually, he became the "other religion" in the symbol of an enemy, but rather on political guise of religion. Belonging to "another religion" meant that an enemy
Because the Protestants broke away from the Catholic Church ….
I was raised Catholic, then went to a Protestant church a few years. REALLY, there are not many differences. The pastor of the Lutheran Church was a woman, which is cool. It really was not aware that Catholics were hit by Protestants and vice versa. I suppose it was the flood of Christian vs. atheist that distracted me = (
You referred to a slightly larger problem. Why do Christians hate?
Be consoled that "Rebecca" - the prophetic mold Gentile churches, is not perfect. Reflected in the many wives, princesses and concubines of Solomon as a prophet of the churches - were not virgins, that means that there is none without spot or wrinkle. That is why His legacy Jeshua equated with the destruction of the temple - that each stone was thrown - The return, therefore, as the carpenter spiritual - for doing the "job done".
As a working feverishly with various flocks, Isaiah and I have to repeat the words of King David - there is a generational obstinacy. Repentance and saying sorry is not easy for people hardened by rejection. It is through its progressive hardening allowing Gentiles into the covenant. In my travels, I have found that people are angry against the institution - based Gentile, established in the 4th century, which implies that:
1. Jeshua Jews dead when we all know that the spear thrust in the Jeshua.
2. The nationalities of those who tore his flesh in fulfillment of Psalm 22.
3. For the teaching of Simon Bar Jonah, who was under the authority of elders as James carefully documented in the Book of Acts - which became the Pope in Rome to kill anything with Christian or Jewish name, when Simon James knows that he died and before it passed the mantle to James Titus, and Ignacio, when the church moved to the caves and then out of Antioch Roman wrath.
4. People are upset because God says there is none without spot or wrinkle, and Romans 3:23 says "all have sinned and come short" is institutionalized and the myth of infallibility - that contradicts the word of God.
5. Jeshua said not to call any man Holy Father.
6. They do not like the fact that Inca gold bells adorn some churches in Europe, while the seed of the Incas in Mexico are hungry.
7. They do not like the fact that the institution never repented publicly bloodshed of those who agree with them: Christians and Jews, and therefore the institution to fulfill the prophecy of John in Revelation 18.
8-107. Marin Luther found 99 false teachings and the spirit of "Pride" and "accidental death" never allowed to make changes. To date, at least three popes have tried to make corrections 99 - all of whom have died suddenly and accidentally.
Pray for God's wisdom to overcome the "spirit of religion" Unfortunately, the "spirit of religion" is the only spirit that never missed Jeshua. I wonder why? Suppose that the prophecy is fulfilled - Revelation 18.
I am a Protestant, and I definitely do not hate Catholics. However, they have a rather low opinion of any institution or person who knowingly mislead people. This statement is infinitely magnified when it is intentionally misleading in regard to spiritual matters. Many Protestants believe the Catholic Church has done this in a very large scale. While this aversion or hatred of Catholics do not agree with the teachings of Jesus, the aversion to the institution that intentionally spreads so strong deviation from the biblical principles and demands that Christianity may be in order.
I, being originally from southern Louisiana, a predominantly Catholic region of the country, have a great knowledge of working with the Catholic tradition and dogma. Secular history clearly demonstrates that the principle of Catholicism is rooted in a mixture of paganism of the day and Christian principles. Those in power at the time had to make religion more acceptable to the vast majority pagan. As a result, many feel that Christianity is compromised by Catholicism.
Another reason that many Protestants do not like the Catholic Church is because much of the dogmas of the church (traditions), either directly or invent contradict Biblical scripture. I will not spend much time on this (see Martin Luther's 95 Theses for clarification), but the existence of a "Papa", his infallibility in matters of the church (not infallible, but God), the uncertainty of eternal salvation life (please read the New Testament), the raising of the saints (idolotry councils), and the existence of Purgatory as an eternal "holding place" are just some of the many problems that are most Protestants with the Catholic tradition.
The icing on the cake for most Protestants is the Catholic establishment historic building lay people to remain ignorant of the Bible and the mandate to confess personal sins routine to another human being. We believe that Christianity is a "hands on" religion. Even Paul, author of most of the epistles of the New Testament, encourgaged we gird ourselves with knowledge. The Old Testament writers urged us to teach our children the ways of God "in our next and quit." For years the Catholic Church refused to conduct mass in a language that people can understand. Even today, only the priests are charged with actual knowledge. This promotion of ignorance by the Catholic institution is mutually exclusive of the teaching of the Bible. It is also repugnant to Protestants, because the study of the Word of God is a very important way to grow spiritually, to a Christian. When spiritual encourages learning is not an aspect of their religion, maybe it's time to find out what really has signed, and if you've registered worthwhile.
Catholics are SO disappointed by what has happened and paid HARD EARNED FOR GIFTS …. AND ITS NOT sensible to say, I AM A CATHOLIC IN ALL … … … DO NOTHING TO SEE .. RAISED CATHOLIC BUT DUMB …. CHILDREN RAISED BY A CATHOLIC EDU ….. Couldnt STRANGULATIONS SUPPORT OF ITS RULES AND WITHOUT DISCIPLINE AND …. more ALTAR BOYS AND HAVE BECOME A SO RIO DE … …… RELIGION HAS DREAM OR SOMETHING YOU NEED ….. ….. ACCEPT ANY ONE ELSES 'My brother STUFF ANYMORE
I accept that as part of the human race, thats it. as far as thinking that you're Christian, you are wrong. the man and treat them as gods. to pray for the dead who can not hear you. passeges some way of putting the Bible out of context. God, no question, that worship and pray with him and him alone. sure you believe in God to do the same, but you do not do what he says. allowing their leaders to rape children, told they cannot have sex or marry for the sole purpose of devoting himself to God. Jesus warned us to beware of false religions who masquerade as the true faith. yours is a religion that has parelells fals to Christianity, but Christianity is not at all. Now if I offended anyone I am truly sorry. i was giving evidence for the Bible to answer this query. we do not hate people, just their religion. I have friends who are Catholic and I do not hate, I respect them.
I am the church of God, I do not hate anyone who believes in God, I do not see how any Christian. If you think that makes us all brothers and sisters. Hatred should not be practiced by anyone who is a believer.
I think most of the hatred of the Catholic Church and its doctrines from ignorance or lack of knowledge of the doctrine of the Catholic Church.
I think this is mainly the case of evangelicals and melted more than the main denominations. It has to do at its base with the idea that within these are the elect and those who do not are doomed. Notice how many Protestant denominations are there? They can not agree on who is and is not the right or go to hell, etc. But most Protestants all agree that Mary is negligible and the Bible that prayer for the dead is necromancy that the Old Testament says deserves the death penalty. Most Protestants also agree that idolatry is alive on screen in most every cathedral, and that notions such as amulets and holy water is only the Catholic version of the magic and non-biblical.
Underneath everything, there is a feeling of attraction towards itself and approved of God looking down on others as heretics. It is particularly hilarious as the idea of unmerited grace, but most Christians could not even give a theological definition of grace. Just know the people who are not right with God, as we people over here. " This is why you see these religious feelings of more that hatred and loathing of the heterodox, compared with sincere concern for their mistakes. It's really xeonophobia and bigotry, that is, small people who want to feel important at the same time scared to death that the contact with the infidel will somehow contaminate them.
Those of the true Christian faith is not hate … But we do not accept those who follow the teaching and the laws of men above those of God to be Christian. If the absolute assurance of salvation as a gift of God is denied, then it is not of Christian faith. If anything is or is not prayed to God, not of the Christian faith … CRs are not of the Christian faith.
Any number of people who invoke the name of Jesus Christ … Doses that do not make Christians
if you can not say with absolute certainty that your salvation is guaranteed … then you are not a Christian … The RC Pope can not say with certainty that he is going to heaven … John Paul II could not say he was going to heaven … CRs still pray with him, as if they know who is in heaven. JP II was and that you are back in heaven?
along the way while there are Protestants who are of Christian faith … There are many variations that the Christian faith not from any connection with the past .. CRs The RC is not the "first" is not "solely" and not a Christian.
I am very digusted how some people attack other people do not do what Jesus would do if Jesus were here specifically denounced casting errors, but the doctrine of the Catholic Church is not in line with the words of the Bible, by example, Catholic doctrine teaches that one must confess their sins to a priest of the Bible teaches repentance thatWe confess our sins directly to God the Father, because, as Protestants do not want to be different, but because it is the way that Jesus taught his disciples to pray.
This was the normal way in which Christians confessed their sins in the first centuries of the church. Confession to a priest became official Catholic doctrine in 1225 AD The priests had begun to confess some time before this, but prayed to God for the person rather than submit the claim to own sins, as they do now.
In order to maintain the practice of confession being made to them, some priests refer to the adoption in John, As the Father has sent me, so I send you. Then breathed on them and said: "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive men's sins, they are forgiven them, if they have the envelope, held bound "(John 20:21-23). The first thing we have to note is that these words are spoken not only to the apostles or any other special class, but to all followers of Christ who were together at that time. Remit sins, therefore, not a privilege of the clergy, but extends to all believers.
Moreover, we must ask ourselves how those who were present and listened to interpret the words of Christ? How to obey? Which obviously means that the sins are forgiven when people trust in Christ as savior, as it came out and preached the good news that by trusting in Christ Jesus we have forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:37-38, 10:43 ). Do not go out and listen to confessions, or tell anyone they are referring sins. The book of Acts is the story of what did the early Christians and how God worked through them to spread the Gospel at that time. If still in doubt, a careful study of this book will convince you.
The episode in John 20, we reviewed the 21st-23rd verse is also found in Luke 24:36-48, with the addition of one very important detail: He told them: It is written that the Messiah must suffer and rise from among the dead on the third day. In his name, repentance and remission of sins should be preached to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Who witness this (24:26-48). Christ was speaking of preaching repentance ( "repentance" is a bad translation) and the remission of sins, and not confess our sins to man. Asking, "How did those who heard him do" and the study of the response in the Bible, we can easily see what our Lord means: Witnessing to Christ and proclaim his salvation is understood that Christ was saying to do so, and that is what they did. The confessionals came hundreds of years later.
You may ask, "Should we confess our sins, or not?" Yes! Every Christian should confess his sins, but our confession should not be for man, because God alone has the power to forgive. The Apostle John wrote: But if we acknowledge our sins, he is but that can be trusted to forgive us our sins and purify us from all evil (1 John 1:9). The biblical exhortation to confess our sins to God is very clear, but in case there should be some misunderstanding, almost all translations use "confess" that is used to recognize this. Furthermore, reading the above verses, you see that which is but clearly refers to God.
We must confess our sins to God, trusting Him to forgive us, based on Christ's blood that was shed for our sins. As we trust Him, we realize that as your word says, He who is nothing that can be trusted to forgive us our sins and purify us from all evil.
If we have sinned against someone, the Bible teaches us to ask forgiveness of that person, too. Therefore, if I have sinned against a priest, I must confess that sin to him and to God. There are times we have to talk to someone about what we did. The idea however, confess to a priest instead of confessing to God, is never found in Scripture.
Pray to your Father in heaven, he confessed all the sins you can remember having committed, and trust that Christ paid for each. Then, in the future when you fall into some sin, you must immediately confess that sin to God, too.
Maybe because they are not in the same vehicle.Catholic over Protesrant Christian. They Catholic followers protested the old man should apologize to God through our pastor. Protesters broker said that it was not logical. and is not based on the all.It against common sense. So who hate the Catholic.
Well, it's good to see that many of the Protestants to Catholics in liaison with the fraternity.
Without doubt, Martin Luther and John Calvin had a strong enough dislike of the Pope to remove enough of the Catholic Church, in turn are ex communication. However, I witnessed much of the healing of John Paul II did bring back to the fraternity for all Christan (Eastern Orthodox, Protestants, Baptists). The "Catechism of the Catholic Church" does not show strong desire to unite the Church again.
From what I understand is the main factor is the separation of the authority of the Pope. I do not know, but want to join John Paul II with the hope of repairing this riff.
Some Protestants forget the golden rule. They also hate Jews, homosexuals, and anyone who disagrees with them. Jack Chick looking for a perfect example.
They do not like to feel that they are heretics, probably. They can not admit that they are outsiders, who are Catholics first, and which diverge from the Church that began with Peter.
Let me clarify some points:
Because Catholicism is not the mandate of Bible study classes, should be the promotion of ignorance of the Bible?
Catholics do not pray to the dead. We pray for the dead.
When mentioning the saints, it is important to realize that Catholics do not worship them. I'll give you a metaphor. If ever you got seriously ill or injured, you probably went to the hospital. And probably so he asked his family and close friends to do is pray for his health. It's the same thing.
We allow our priests to rape children? That happens in all areas, and some Protestant ministers probably guilty of that too. In fact, rates of pedophilia, and these are much lower among the priests that the population mean. However, he began to learn about Catholics while everyone else: when I was in the news. And so blown out of proportion by the media.
Catholics do not worship the Pope. It is most similar to priest. Catholics to be heard is the same as you believeing everything your pastor or reverend tells or whatever.
Because the Catholic Church does not teach the whole world to read, they were trying to keep the secret of the Bible?
I went to two Protestant churches, when I was a teenager, 1 per 18 months, and the 2nd of 6 months. After that, I returned to Catholicism.
In the 2nd church, people do not really dwell on the Catholics. They were a lot of good, positive, and did not bother spreading hatred and lies about Catholics. However, in the 1st church, it seems that everyone has an anti-Catholic. In <EVERY SINGLE SERMON> I have never heard Pastor Alex Montoya preach, he always had a lot of socks, Snider comments against the Catholic Church. If you do not want to know what kind of garbage, then I'm not going to the First Fundamental Bible Church in Monterey Park, CA, Montoya <if> still preaching. This was 20 years ago, you may have already retired.
(Basic … Great track, lol!)
Almost the entire world was an ex-Catholics and Hispanics, including Montoya. I Hipsanic to paint a picture, because Catholicism is bone deep in Hisp culture. Apparently, they have nothing better to do than talk about how Catholicism is evil, how the Pope is wrong, how stupid is the official prayer, how sacriligious is to light candles and pray to saints, etc Montoya also LIE about Catholics, said that the cult of Mary, said the statues of worship, said that they have no idea why Christ came, so I ate everything.
After attending a Catholic wedding, I returned to Catholicism. Upon entering the church for the wedding, I was rigid, stubborn, and nervous. "I can not believe I have strengthened in this place again!" However, during the nuptial Mass, especially during the homily, I realized that Montoya, and all other anti-Catholic fanatics Lied! ! Who lied about the Catholic Church! Yes, Catholics know why Jesus came, they pray to Him, no, not the cult of Mary, not that they do not worship statues. I felt angry, so angry so. Lied to me by a church! Shortly thereafter, he entered the RCIA. Three years later, I became a full member of the Church by receiving Communion and Confirmation. Fuck liars! Also joined the chorus, YAM (Young Adult Ministry), and became a Eucharistic minister. I had the opportunity to give blessings, so when my grandmother could not go to church, I blessed it.
Since then, I was sooooo angry with Protestantism. Protestantism hated for years and still continues irkes me. Not as much as it did before, but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
I can say from experience that some Protestants hate the Catholics because they do not know> <do Catholicism. Pure and simple. If you knew that, some might even convert. While in the RCIA was the conversion of a person who was a Protestant all his life. Come to think of it, were several.
Ignorance is the answer. Ignorance is not an insult, and in this case is the answer to your question "Why?"
They were brainwashed against the Catholic Church. And lots and lots of lies have been created around the Catholic Church by its ministers and founders (Read Protestant Reformation). For those that do not verify and then also buy the propaganda against the Catholic Church, especially if these people were living a sort of life that the Catholic Church prohibits a person to live. Then destroy the Catholic Church. Best read the story and trace the roots of these non-Catholic churches. Were in fact rebels against the Catholic Church established.
Excellent answers.
I grew up Protestant and a Catholic priest I am now independent. In my experience most Protestants do not dislike or hatred of their Catholic brothers and sisters. There is a degree of uncertainty that comes from memories of past actions on behalf of the Catholic Church and those related to the birth of Protestant churches.
There is also an idea from outside the Catholic Church that the Church still clings to the idea of "no salvation outside the (Catholic) Church." This was addressed at the Second Vatican Council, however, remains a concern today, especially among young people.
All those who recognize and accept the teachings of Jesus are Christians and part of the universal Church. We do not need all of us believe, or express them to share our history, traditions, and offered salvation through our Lord and Savior.
Peace be with you
Michael
Although I am a Protestant, most of my friends are Catholic. And I respect Christians as sisters and brothers, even though some of my Protestant friends and relatives do not. I do not understand people who say that Catholics are not Christians, because as you say, are all the same beliefs. And we must live together as children of God, without the little arguments centuries.
I certainly do not hate Catholics! My mother is one and I was one of 31 years.
The coming of the Holy Spirit that occurred shortly after I joined a Protestant church. Preaching is more applicable to my life, prayers were spontaneous, and people spoke to each other and have a community of caring and support. That all worked to change my heart and see God in new ways, that there was a Catholic.
The main differences I see is that Protestants are encouraged to know and read the Bible (in Catholicism that is the work of the priest), and in the Catholic Church emphasizes that "the church", or said taught, rather than the Bible or other Spirit-filled leadership. While there is agreement that the difference between Catholics and Protestants, the Catholic "Church" has added so many things that are not Scripture, as the prayer to Mary and the saints (the Bible says that all believers are saints) have to confess your sins to a priest, so many rituals, prayers, canned, etc which are not small matters.
I think Catholics are saved and going to heaven? Yes, those who are born again of the Spirit, as the Bible says. Obviously, there are many.
But surely there are many practices that the church which continue the practices that are of man. I guess that is what Martin Luther said
They hate because they have always sought each other. Both are in the market for the same customer base and seek to increase their market share by denigrating their competitors.
I am a Protestant Christian and I do not hate Catholics or disloke and the RC church.
I know that many Catholics will be in heaven, and many Protestants do not (and vice versa).
Sincerely,
Juan
If you repeat a lie often enough, people eventually believe it.
I do not want to offend the Protestants, but I have seen hundreds of its websites, and no one teaches the truth about Catholicism. No one.
Anti Catholicism, unlike the anti-black or anti-Semitics is culturally acceptable. Or political correctness. That's the way it is because Jesus said it would be.
I do not think is that the Catholics, as people are hated. I think that is the false doctrine that is disliked, idolatry, Mary sinless.
NO HATE!
Just saying "ANOTHER GOSPEL"
How you handle it.
I escaped! Http: / / http://www.toughlove.faithweb.com / Story_ …
Most people judge other people and other peoples religion just because they are ignorant of any belief other than their own.
Why can not people except that which is in the Bible is taken for what it is and live the life of Christ, as we are all gonna be here saying that no, I'm back on the day of God back and I certainly hope not i do not want to go to heaven and meet Jesus Christ, our Creator does not argue about who is right or wrong?
John, who are you to say who will go to heaven? can not say that Catholics and Protestants will go to heaven. only that the Bible says what it takes to go to heaven, not me or you, and if a Catholic or Protestant not follow what the Bible says about salvation, then you can not wait to go to heaven … regardless.
magicfairy is something that is unknown to anyone in a different religion, but when 2 different churches seek to follow the same book, the Bible, but very different beliefs, then there is a right and wrong. when you say "the right of everyone" and then say that the Bible is subjective. If the Bible is subjective, and Muslims, Buddhists, Jews, etc. are going to heaven, too. but I think we both know that the Bible is objective in what he says, and as I told John, if you do not follow the Bible, then you are not doing well … Regardless.
I can remember very clearly, kneeling before the statue of Mary and praying ……… this is not a human being to raise the level of God?
Certainly I agree with the things he said about the Trinity, but many aspects of the Catholic Church seems to have no biblical basis.
Besides, all my friends call me if Catholics want to know what the Bible says in ant issue. Not seem to know how to use the Bible.
Just for the record, I do not hate all Catholics …. My father happens to be one.
anyways cathoilcs mary first place despite the fact that believe in god should put God first and we are not against them are almost on the right track that you just have to put God first and not go to paradise and we are going to heaven
