Well, walk into a Catholic church with new eyes, and look at the placement of statues, and candles, and knee.
Pretend you had no idea of the values of this place. What would your first thought be? You probably reflects that the person was of great value.

There is no place in Scripture where you are to use an intermediary, in addition to pray in Jesus' name … no place ……
ex.20 5: "Thow not bow down to them or serve them … Because I am a jealous God "….

As a former Catholic, I have seen first hand idolatry. Raised in a Catholic family and went to a Catholic church. I knew saying prayers repeated every week could not please God. I knew to say 5 Hail Mary's and 5 Our parents could not clean my sin. What do you teach kids this practice? When they are bad are punished and forced to say prayers? Prayer is a precious gift of God is a blessing, not a punishment. Wrath of God has fallen on the Catholic Church pedophilia is running rampant homosexual bishops and the law suits have completely tarnished the Catholic Church. I think this is a curse of God Almighty, because of the sinful things that are taught in this church.
God warns us not to add to His Word, or beyond. The Catholic church is guilty of doing both. Word of God through the mixing of human wisdom with the Catholic Church has fallen from grace. When I was 19 years I rejected Catholicism and embraced me be born again. I am not trying to be cruel to Catholics, simply say that my experience with the Catholic church and what I see happening in this church today.

They are idols of Mary all over the place … when you build an altar to Mary and ask her to pray for you, a woman who died and is in his grave …. when he says there is only one mediator between God and man and that Jesus is not Mary … what is …. Your name?

It seems that people develop this "us and them" thing. They are Catholics against Protestants, blacks against whites, against conservative Republicans. The Atheist against Christians, the day shift to night shift. World really is a silly game to play. I try to avoid at all costs.
