  1. Marie Thérèse says:

Sigh … I do not know what goes through your head, these women. 1 Timothy 2, it is quite clear that positions of authority of the Church are designated for men.
And it's not as if Jesus was only sexist in the choice of male apostles. Why not try to blur the line between the sexes, and despise anything that holds traditional gender roles and so beautiful to honor God.

  2. DougLawr says:

Nobody has the authority to order a woman as a Catholic priest or deacon.
Legitimately never happened and never will.
Anyone who claims otherwise is a liar, a heretic, or both.

  3. pappyg says:

1Tim.2 :11-15 The women learn in silence (silence), subject to all. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over men, but be quiet. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. and Adam was not deceived, but the woman who was deceived in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in the maternity, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
1 Cor.14: 34 Let your women keep silence in the churches because they are not allowed to speak, but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also sayeth the law. And if they're going to learn anything, ask their husbands at home: it is a shame for a woman to speak in church.
Ladies who are commanded to sing in the worship service of the church Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16.
You not only allowed to usurp authority over man. Just as the men in charge of the priestly function of the priesthood under the Old Testament. The men are charged under the new testament, that comes from God not man.

  4. Aquila says:

The other Mary (Jesus consort), was the first Christian priestess. In fact, the Gnostic Christians had women leaders, if not more. And what is so bad anyway? Come on girls, it's time to kick the bastards that it hurts more.

  5. alana says:

The Roman Catholic Church forbids women to be priests. The priest is taking the place of the apostles chosen by Jesus, none of whom were women. If Jesus wanted a woman priest would have had as one of the twelve elected.

  6. bonitaka says:

There were no priests in Jesus' life, and probably not in that of Mary. As to why they want to become priests, probably for the same reasons as men, and possibly because they feel that is what God wants them to do.

  7. §∂p¡£n† says:

    That will never happen.
Women want equality. Well, not oppressed women, unlike yourself.

  8. Peter R says:

I am not Catholic, but I think the Catholic Church is the Church of Jesus began.
I believe that there should be no women priests, Jesus did not choose women disciples, and this is a church tradition, the Church and the authority must be respected. The Church teaches that men and women have separate functions. This does not mean that women should be oppressed, The Catholic Church honors the woman who brought Jesus into this world, unlike the Protestants who falsely accuse Catholics worship Mary.
If the announcement of the Catholic Church wants to be dominated by men and oppress women, why we have nuns, and why have women saints.
Besides, I do not believe that God will send us to hell for having traditions, what happens to Protestant denominations that have certain traditions? One of the traditions and Catholic Churches is the Man preisthood.

    Hi,
Personally I have no problem with women priests.
I think Paul mentioned in the Bible whose name was Happiness. I was at the College of Cardinals, I am inclined to vote for women priests.
      Cheers.

I think women should be priests, but 1. The early church banned because it was too close to the orders of a Pagan Goddess which is the principal worshiped together with his consort, and the women took the role of worship leader. 2. addition to giving women the power of the Church does not want them to have. If the church down and allow women priests and then not have such a shortage of priests from new!

  11. Elder H says:

Well to begin with the Catholic Church was not around then and she was busy having Jesus half brothers and sisters.

  12. R&S user formerly known as MoaM says:

There were actually many women church leaders in the early church - before the priests and the Roman Catholic Church was about.
In Pittsburgh there are actually women who were ordained by a Catholic bishop.

  13. baywatch says:

because the religions were created by sexist men.
