Are there other Christians like me who are tired of having the label of Christian Catholic or Protestant?
I am Catholic Christian, but I hate the label of Catholic like I hate the label of Protestant. I see that all of us as Christians. Am I on an island by myself or are there any others who feel like me?
- Why Christians do not expect Christians to purely Christian ideals?
- What Early Christians call themselves - before it was separated from the Protestant Christian Movement of Catholic?
- Can we make Scientology as a Christian? They are Catholic or Protestant? The Bible they use?
- I consider myself a Protestant, if I am a Christian not Catholic?
- You can be Christian without being Classifica As a Protestant or Catholic?

Jesus never said lets put signs over the doors and divided. Many people mean well, but not his purpose for us. That only serves to keep the body of Christ to be one.
Well, I am Anglican, in many ways and, despite the reform, I see as a compromise between the two!
Edit: I'm referring to Reform English-http: / / http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk / ref …
Fortunately, I am neither Catholic nor Protestant.
preach it, brother! I walk with you on that one
Because I am not alone you're all Christians, Protestants or anything just not Christian.
I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, I do not follow.
I think only in words that Jesus spoke, I would not put trust in Moses and the prophets, neither Peter nor Paul nor the church.
I think only on the testimony of Jesus, and that his testimony Juan.
It is not so bad to have differant names called. Not all Christian denominations believe the same thing anyway. I do not want to sound cruel, but I do not see them all as Christians. Just because someone goes to church does not mean they are a fellow Christian. We feel totally differant Catholics and Protestants that the Catholic Church knows this and consider us Protestants "separated brethren" a better way of saying that we are not one of them unless you join them in their Catholic beliefs. As soon as he became a born-again Christian who got rid of the title that I grew up Baptist and since then my car is called a born-again Christian or a Christian. No more confessional title.
I'm not religious, but definitely I think it is ridiculous that someone is not because the other Christian. If we all believe in Jesus, then … what the hell.
good for you. But I am happy with the label Catholic, as is Christianity.
I see your point here. I consider myself Catholic, but I have considered all the people like my brother or sister of one form or another for we are all part of the human family and are an outward sign or sacrament of grace to all we meet.
Agreed. But human hearts are dense, and the need to divide and separate, and will continue with the labels.
It is doubly fortunate, when, despite the labels and the differences, we can fully accept one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, and seek to meet him.
I do not like the box, whether ethnic forms. Appears to be a label or category of device that may be handling Deviously against any organization (or person) prejudiced beliefs about certain ethnic groups or organizations. However, I have good friends in almost all religious beliefs, not have to agree with them to be good friends. You may have the opportunity to discuss some key elements of my belief in the Lord Jesus who saved me by His grace (unmerited favor - or a gift) only. My good deeds do not guarantee my salvation (a place in heaven). It is a gift from God, free from any and all who receive. 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life John 1:12 says "But as many as received Him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God - not born 13 children of natural descent, nor of the decision or a husband's will, but born of God. "
A distinction worth noting is too often confused the religious scripture, as in the Catholic doctrine of grace that it defines as those who deserve it. That is inconsistent with the literal meaning of grace, ie, unmerited favor or grace is not getting what I deserve "(Blessings and honor) and" mercy is not getting what they deserve "( God's just punishment of sin).
It also clearly states in Ephesians 2 that we are not saved by our works but by the grace of God so .. "that might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - 9 not by works, lest any man should boast. 10 For the workforce are of God, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand for us. "
Yes, let's do good works, but not saved by them, so you will not be a display of how they got into the sky. Which has much pride in it.
But if I have to explain my "religion" the purest form is described in James 1:27 "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. " So maybe I would say that my religion is my job to my beliefs so that others can benefit and see and give God the glory and praise.
The friend of my daughter came up with the acronym FROG: Trusting fully in God. I like that!
Distinctions of belief are not intended to part friends, or to promote the haughty arrogance. God forbids that. Help us reach the truth through Jesus, our elder brother, however, Lord, Master, Savior and friend. He said: "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. " John 14:6
Your question is interesting (makes a change at this site) Christians - like most religions - they are different sects, established by the interpretation of dogmas and ideals .. The term Protestant is quite eloquent on these days as most Protestants do not really know the meaning of the word of protest (ant) .. as "Catholic" (his word choice) .. strictly speaking, 90% of all religions are "Catholics" as the word means "all encompassing" .. I think it refers to the Roman .. Catholocism and for the differentiation between various forms of "Christianity" is the rather academic discussion, since (you) can be grouped as follows "The Christ" that Jesus was a Jewish Aramaic .. by the way, did you know that the word "Christian" should not have a capital referred to in the context that is correct .. the word means "Leader" and the Romans referred to a group of people as "Christians" do not get the word .. had no lower case .. therefore the correct title of the founder of their religion would be "Jesus Christ"
YES YES YES YES
Hate groups
I do not like many of the labels, however, there are enormous differences between what Christians believe the Bible and believe what the Roman Catholic Church and Protestant churches teach.
If you do not like labels, why do you refer to himself as a Catholic Christian. " Why not say they are Christians or simply a follower of Jesus?
Why even mention the name?
I am a Bible believing Christian and I say that to my car, apart from those who claim to be Christians, but rejected the teaching of the Bible.
We have to decide is the correct definition of Christianity that is written in the Bible or not?
Or what is the purpose of voting on any board of the church?
Or the last sermon of the Pope or Billy Graham?
If a church, what the church?
The Southern Baptist Convention?
The United Methodist?
Lutherans?
Council of the church that we must be listening?
I say we need to go back to the Bible, the Word of God and not the words of men.

Amen, brother!
Definitely agree there is much distance between some Christians when in fact we should all be working together.
I am a Protestant and I am delighted to bring the "label". I do not think that Catholicism and Protestantism are the same. Traditon Protestants do not give a place equal or greater than the biblical truth and Catholics do. The beliefs are very different and the label is necessary.
I can not call it tired, but I certainly do not approve of labels, the divisions and name calling because I'm pretty sure that Jesus would not approve either.
Remember, "Just as there are many parts of our body, so it is with the body of Christ (the Church). We are all parts of it and takes each of us to be complete for each of us has different work to do. "
Christ said "Love one another as I have loved you."
You are not alone. I am a Christian and that is that.
Good question. I do not think I have a label and continue to believe the word of God.
We are all Christians. Catholic means universal. Protestant means to protest the Catholic Church, which I'm sure you already know. We are all Christians, but this does not mean that everyone believes in faith that Jesus taught and preserved in the Catholic Church for 2000 years and running.
The Bible says there is a next world religion and one that will be controlled by the false prophet.
If God does not desire the unity He does not want us united tolerenace because of tolerance. we must reject the heresy. Hate the sin, love the sinner must remember THO.
Boston is kicking ass in Cleveland now. Why not watch the match? I do not like labels, either on the road. Many blessings
Thanks for the interesting question. No, you're not alone. I know that I am a Christian. However, people from other Christian denominations do not consider me a Christian. I hate division.
Well if you could all agree on how to interpret the Bible there is no need to label in separate groups. But you can not agree, so deal with it.
The label is due to the nature of religion and belief practice I am now born-again Christian, but to attend a BAPT Church. Why be ashamed of the label unless doubts.
