  1. Let's have babies says:

Does any difference if a priest is heard? It is still one of the more plausible explanations as to the creation of the universe.

Unfortunately there is still a leap of faith to connect the Big Bang to God.
It also shows that even an Atheist Catholic priest turned to the methods of science to not be dogmatic. Also, the scientists are willing to renounce the theories are wrong and based on evidence of support. Could see how things fit well together with the evidence?
Conclusion: The systematic search for evidence is not a bad way to go when forced into a dogma over another.

I'm not an atheist, but I'm guessing that atheists still believe in the theory of Big Bang.
As a scientist, the only problem I have with the Big Bang theory is that it really means nothing. If it explains the beginning of the universe, then there are more around the universe. In my opinion does not explain the beginning of the multi-verse or the beginning of time. There is little or no contradiction between the Big Bang theory and religious beliefs.

No. The Big Bang theory is not really a better explanation of the observations that any theory we have. You just do not hear of any other theory, because people want to believe in the big bang, science and development has been enshrined. People want to have a beginning, because it makes the universe coincides with what we know - a birth, life, death. It is difficult for us to imagine it not being similar to a human life, having no beginning - it clung to that idea, even those who are not godbelievers.
I think if you look closely what the BBT and how it explains the observations, is too much and kludges. It is not good science. No matter who came first with him, although I am not surprised that a religious person.

The biblical account of creation in Genesis is a book to inform the man of his origin to God. A history book is not a book of science. This is where Dawkins is confused. He tries to explain "God" through the scientific method. Knowing God is a gift of faith. A seed of awareness of the heart, which bloom in the mind.

  6. Irony Man says:

This is proof that God is just an imaginary one that exists in the mind delirious.
A Catholic priest need to search for a truth better than the flawed logic "truth" presented in the Bible.
