The second commandment is no longer in effect (Ephesians 2:15, etc.), but idol worship is clearly condemned in the New Testament.
Romans 1:23 They do not have the statues of the gods that the glorious God who lives forever. His statues of gods are like humans, birds, animals and reptiles.

Catholics are not "kneel" to the images of Mary or any of the apostles and saints. Catholics pray to God / Jesus through Mary and the saints recognized by the Catholic Church.
Mary was the mother of Jesus, recognized by Christianity as the Son of God, chosen by God to be the mother of Jesus. Mary was one of the few physically taken from their homeland in heaven to be with God and his son, Jesus. Catholics have, as God must have had a reverence for Mary.
When the book of Exodus was written, Mary, Joseph, the Saints, or Jesus was not even born. Referred to the idols in the books of the Old Testament refer to images of animals deification and sanctification.

Yes, but this is OT and not pay attention to that part. Havent you heard? Like Tide Detergent, God's new and improved!
A better question is why the first four commandments deal specifically with PISSING not God - and then claim that all Christians go through the moral of the ten commandments …. four of them have nothing to do with morality! And the last proof that God does not have much of a future where only the man and his wife greed neighbors house ….

At the same interpretation, through a cross Protestants would then an idol too. The cross is a 'thing' and is part of the land.
Funny that most Protestants claim that Christ puts an end to the law of the Old Testament, however, dating back to the ancient faith of dig this.

Catholics do not worship statues. Do not believe everything that is said. Go attend a mass and see how many people are kissing the feet of the statues, as you say. My guess is that I do not see at all. I have not, and I have attended many masses. I am not a Roman Catholic, but have some in my family, and I am a little tired of the Catholic chronic hitting.

I really do not know why the power of God can undo what was written in the Old Testament. In any case, as Jesus began to reverse and not omitting the addition of words to all the commandments of God and Jesus and his Apostles authorized Pedro especially that which bound on earth shall be bound in heaven " ; I think that gave the Catholic hierarchy to add, change and omit any of the writings in the will. And through its doctrines that made the decree of Pope as infallible, therefore, felt that even the fans were given the right to accuse the hierarchy to be so difficult to understand some of their demands as abortion, gay marriage and al. as if they were members of a union. My argument is that, why even pick up the chapters and verses of the Old Testament in each of the masses who have left the bulk of the teaching that God declared that it will not be changed by the time he lived. Do you feel that 666 is not the inverse of 999? So who do you think is the beast?
