Catholics, why do a small shrine to Mary?
If most of the OT and NT has been focused on prohpets and the apostles, why come and build a little over the shrines and things for women Mary?
and as a side note, I do not like Greek gods, so I'm really very fair. lol

For the same reason I have photos of my nieces in my fridge - are members of the family I love. For the same reason we have shrines to Washington, Lincoln and Jefferson - have an important role in the history and culture, and Mary has an important role in Christianity.
