Catholics, why pray to Mary Jesus said to her?
Now Luke 8:19, Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him but were unable to get near him because of the crowd.
20 Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside, they want to see you."
21 He replied: "My mother and brothers are those who hear the Word of God and put it into practice."
- Did Jesus Ever call Mary "blessed"?
- Why Catholics Put This strong emphasis on Mary, almost cult?
- Why do Catholics call Mary Santísima When Jesus said it in Luke 11:27?
- Catholics ….. what is the way to salvation, and why Catholics pray to Mary, not Jesus, Explain?
- Why do Catholics pray to Mary, Mother of Jesus, Jesus never said much, nor was she part of the Trinity, so why?

Because Catholics are the blind led by the blind.
Woe unto you, Pharisees, scribes, hypocrites (and now the Catholics).
When will you understand that God is life, Jesus is life, the Holy Spirit is living. We are living now.
God exhorts us to pray for one another, while on earth. Not only in words but deeds (James 2:14-20). Once dead, we can not do anything. Read the parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Lk 13:19-31).
Peter and Paul and other NT authors asked people living to pray for him, not dead.
Mary listened to Jesus while on earth, and that too only once after he began his ministry at 30. And he said: "Woman, what have I to do with you? Mina hours is not yet come. " -John 2:4. He did it out of courtesy as the obligation to others as well.
The Bible forbids us to pray, by or through the dead. That is totally unscriptural rebellious to God and care for nature, because He hears all the time. The man is appointed to die once and then the sentence Hebrews 9:27 (And that does not have years for God to judge, as in the courts in some countries)
Mary was a wonderful woman, but so were many others in the Bible. What do Catholics? Trying to do things by their use (or should I say exploiting) of justice? Do you think God will forgive them for their evil deeds, even if they could pray for you? God knows better than to listen to them?
And not to mention the books of the Apocrypha / deuterocanonical books. Because the uninspired books were added so that benefit the Catholics. Apocrypha means of dubious nature and canonical means deuteric-secondary canon. The original number of the books of the Bible is 65 + 5 = 70 books of Psalms because God works in book 7.
Try going to the dentist's mother dead in the cemetery for toothache relief instead of going to the dentist the next time life.
Edit: In response to Daver: a blind man who deliberately deceived the blind.
Mary was a created being and died like all other human beings. Who dwell in heaven and ignorants know if that is a totally different world. The Ark of the Covenant was a way to teach about God keeping his holy and pure purple. The Ark was followed by temples (Solomon, etc.)
In the NT, this means that we will keep Saints of God to dwell in us.
1 Corinthians 6:19 - What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Matthew 24:2 - And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? I tell you truly, should not be left here one stone upon another that will not be released.
The Ark contained the manna in the golden pitcher, Aaron's staff had Budd, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
We are in all these things if we want to keep your holy will. Bread of heaven, Jesus, then we have the fruits and commandments to follow. Catholics who have twisted the 10 commandments (read the original 10 commandments in Ex 20 and Deuteronomy 5 and the match produced the commandments of the church catechism RC).
The promises of the NT era for all mankind and not for a single woman.
God came to earth many times over in the Bible story in many ways. Come and worship the mountains, fire, mountain, Los Angeles, a white dove, wind, cloud of smoke and the pillar of fire? If you do not pray through these means, why only separated from Mary again is as good as any other created being? Eh … You would also Catholics across all stupid idols that churches in their configuration and therefore breaking the 2nd commandment again.
Do you suppose that God would be lost if Satan won and Mary said no? That would be God's plan powerlesss against the decision of a single being (again, that He created and trained). God knows best and I already had a plan. To harden their hearts as Pharaoh (again hardened his heart to God too). God touched the heart of Mary to say yes. The glory is not so. Because you know who is the glory, honor and praise (Or should I say?).
This is sufficient. You can have a personal conflict with me if you want to go further. And I'm sure it will be proved wrong. May God touch your heart also.
Melody Rose is exactly correct. Do not pray to Mary, we pray through Mary. By listening to Ave Maria as it ends:
"Holy Mary, Mother of God
Pray for us sinners
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
The step that is not cited in reference to Mary, but rather to call those who follow God and his word family - loved by Christ.
That there is no mention about prayer to Mary is not
When Catholics pray to Mary in the sky above are not Christ, whom he recognized as the only Mediator between God and man. Who go to Christ through Mary and other saints. They are asking Mary to intercede for them before the throne of Christ in heaven. “ For the continual prayer of a just man availeth much.''(James 5:16). How much use is the unceasing prayer of the sinless Mother of Our Lord Jesus Christ! St. Paul asked his fellow Christians to intercede for him: “ Brothers, pray for us.''(2 Thes. 3:1). And again: “ I beseech you therefore, brethren, through our Lord Jesus Christ, and through love of the Holy Spirit to help me in your prayers to God for me …'' (Rom. 15 : 30). Christ must particularly approve of our going to Him through Mary, the Blessed Mother, because He chose to come to us through it. And at Cana, he performed his first miracle after a word from His Mother. (John 2:2-11).
I am not contradicting what you're saying because, well, I'm not a Catholic, but I hate the new international edition of the Bible, is so messy.
First you must set the sentence. Prayer is talking with someone who is not living. It is not to be confused with the cult. When we pray to Mary or any of the Saints for that matter, are asking to pray for us. God bless …
God also says not to pray to the saints and the dead, however, still continue to do so because the Pope is no god.
Why Catholics are supposed to judge when a Christian?
You leave them alone.
thanks for asking!
i have wondered for years
i always ask the Catholics, but do not seem to know or are annoying me!
Ill be cheking their answers
Yes … ummm … very effective argument.
Wonderful question! I can not give you the correct answer, because I am not a Catholic.
"To hear the Word of God and put it into practice"
What human than did Mary?? "Be it done to me according to your word." Do you really think that Jesus felt his mother did not hear the word of God, or put it into practice?

Specific to Mary, if you can help to understand why Mary is the powerful Intercessor is: Mary Immaculate is the Ark of the New Partnership
Exodus 25:11-21 - the ark of the Old Covenant was made of pure gold of God's Word. Mary is the Ark of the New Partnership and is the most pure vessel of God's Word made flesh.
2 Sam. 6:7 - the ship is so holy and pure that touched him Uzzah when the Lord killed him. This shows us that the ship is undefiled. Mary, the Ark of the New Covenant is even more immaculate and undefiled, free from original sin from God to enable him to carry His eternal Word in her womb.
1 Chron. 13:9-10 - this is another account Uzzah and the Ark of God to dwell within the ship Mary, Mary had to be conceived without sin. For Protestants to argue otherwise would be to say that God let the finger of Satan touches his Son made flesh. This is incomprehensible.
1 Chron. 15 and 16 - these verses show the great reverence of the Jews had the ship - veneration, costumes, songs, harp, lira, cymbals, trumpets.
Luke 1:39 / 2 Sam. 6:2 - Lucas conspicuous in the comparison between Mary and the Ark of Samuel described highlights the reality of Mary as the immaculate and undefiled Ark of the New Partnership. In these verses, Mary (the Ark) and left / David arose and went to the Ark. There is a clear parallel between the Ark of the Old and the New Ark of the Covenant.
Luke 1:41 / 2 Sam. 6:16 - John the Baptist / King David before jumping for joy Mary / Ark then must jump for joy before Mary, the Immaculate Ark of the Word made flesh.
Luke 1:43 / 2 Sam. 6:9 - How can the mother and the Ark of the Lord come to me? It is a sacred privilege. Our Mother would come to us and leads us to Jesus.
Luke 1:56 / 2 Sam. 6:11 and 1 Chron. 13:14 - Maria / the ship was in the house for about three months.
Rev 11:19 - at this moment in history, the Ark of the Old Covenant was not seen for six centuries (see 2 macc. 2:7), and now is finally seen in heaven. The Jewish people would have been absolutely amazed by this. However, John immediately passes this fact and describes the "woman" clothed with the sun in Rev. 12:1. John is emphasizing that Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant and that, like the old chest, is now worthy of veneration and praise. Also remember that Rev. 11:19 and Rev. 12:1 are tied together, because there is no chapter and verse at the time these texts were written.
Rev 12:1 - the "woman" that John is describing is Mary, the Ark of the New Partnership, with the moon under her feet and her head a crown of twelve stars. Just as the moon reflects light from the sun, so Mary, with the moon under her feet, reflects the glory of the Sun of Justice, Jesus Christ.
Rev. 12:17 - this verse tells us that Mary is the offspring of those who keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus. This shows, as Catholics have always believed that Mary is the Mother of all Christians.
Rev. 12:2 - Some Protestants argue that because women had pains, was a woman of sin. However, Revelation is apocalyptic literature unique to the 1st century. Symbolism containing varied and multiple meanings of women (Mary, the Church and Israel). Birth pangs describe the birth of Mary and the Church was formed in the offspring of Christ. Mary did not birth pangs in the delivery of his only Son Jesus.
Isaiah 66:7 - for example, see Isaiah prophesies that before she (Mary) was in labor she gave birth before her pain came to her she gave birth to a son (Jesus). This is a prophecy of the virgin birth to Mary of Jesus Christ.
Gal 4:19 - Paul also described their pain as the birth pangs in the formation of the disciples of Christ. Birth pangs describe the formation in Christ.
Rom. 8:22 - well, Paul says the whole creation has been groaning in labor before the coming of Christ. We are all under pain of childbirth because we are reborn in Christ.
Jer. 13:21 - Jeremiah describes the birth pangs of Israel, as a woman at work. Birth pangs are often used metaphorically in Scripture.
Os. 13:12-13 - Ephraim travailing also described as the birth of their sins. Once again, the pains of childbirth are used metaphorically.
Micah 4:9-10 - Micah also describes Jerusalem as seized by the pains of childbirth as a woman at work.
Rev. 12:13-16 - in these verses, we see that even the devil seeks to destroy the woman, even after the Savior has been born. This shows Mary is a danger to the devil, even after the birth of Christ. This is because God has given him the power to intercede for us, and we must rely on your help in our spiritual life.
HUH? Where it says we do not want to ask the Blessed Mother of God not to pray for us? This passage of Scripture has nothing to do with asking a saint or anyone else who prays for us.
It's OK to pray to the saints?
First, it is wrong to say that the practice of praying for each other has no biblical foundation, which is instructed in Scripture to have a life of prayer for others as it is part of God's commandment to love one others.
(DRB 2CO 5:8) But we are confident and have good will and not be absent from the body and present with the Lord.
The Catholic Church teaches that it is not absolutely necessary for one to ask the intercession of the saints for salvation. The Church teaches that prayer to God is necessary for salvation for all believers. For a Catholic it would be wrong to ignore the liturgical worship offered to God in the holidays of the saints and prayers to ask for his intercession.
The communion of saints is a doctrine of the early Church and is registered in the Apostles' Creed. Simply states that the faithful because of their relationship with Christ is alive, even after the death of your flesh and worship with us. For us, the Church is made up of activists representing the Church to all believers who live their hope in the flesh.
(Phi 2:12 DRB) Therefore, my dear, (and have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence), with fear and trembling work their salvation.
(Phi 2:13 DRB) For God, who worketh in you both to will and to perform according to their goodwill.
Suffering is in the Church are those who are temporarily in need of further purging of sin so they can enjoy God's presence.
(DRB 2mA 12:46) Therefore, it is a healthy and holy thought to pray for the dead, which may be loosed from sins.
Finally, the Communion of Saints consists of those who have won the race:
(Phi 3:14 DRB) beat to the mark, the highest prize of the calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Their immortal souls are in heaven in God's presence:
(Rev 5:8 DRB) When he opened the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one harps and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of the saints.
The flow of the universal connection of all of God's creation is His love, in our baptism in our path to sanctification. This is not an emotional desire, but placed in us by the Spirit of God, which endures as a desire for others to love us and this extends even to our enemies. This is truly a love that comes only from God and is a strange and meaningless to those who have not received the saving grace of God. This desire in our souls does not end with the death of our flesh, but continues the saints in eternity, where through her intercession in prayer, encourage us in our career and help us to bear our union with God.
I think some people of faith who do not understand the Communion of Saints, somehow I think that asking the saints, pray for us is undermining our love and our trust in God. It is indeed impossible, if we truly love as God commands and gave us the grace to understand, not to pray for those who love us and we hope that, in turn, to return to that same love for us and we pray offer our prayers to God.
In Christ
