I'm not Catholic. I'm not even Christian. But the mother of a friend. She is one of the most amazing, spiritual, devout, intelligent, open-minded and women I know. She would make an amazing priest.

Koresh already answered this for me.

  3. starcame says:

The Catholic church is based on a perversion of Christianity, so one wonders what prevents that allows this?
My guess is that the whole thing a vow of silence, women could not do, and men can not put up with if Hadda women in their monasteries …

Genitalia is too important an issue in the Catholic church, you have to have a Willy (which of course never use) or simply not done.

I, as an individual who is "open", like someone accepting a woman president of the United States. There are several questions that must be answered, however. 1. They are the "officials" of the Catholic Church will accept them? 2. Is this post going to be in Europe or both of Europe (and elsewhere in world) and the United States? I think people in the United States are more prepared to change that magnititude other peoples of the world! And last (but not less important) 3. How many other people are interested in this kind of change? There should be a sufficient number of people (not the forecasting of women) participating in the "change" rhetoric, he precipitated the change! Probably "significant" numbers of people !!!!! Otherwise, if the woman would be accepted or not is rhetorical and does not really matter! Do not you think?

They never will. The Church has produced a sterile, oppressive, legalistic patriarchy to replace sterile, oppressive, legalistic patriarchy that Jesus and Paul worked to overthrow. The Church is the greatest example of hypocrisy in the Christian life.
That is not to say that many Catholics are not good people, but the institution is fundamentally corrupt.

It doesn't really matter to me coz atheist.
But I love to see a female pope in my life. Lol

  8. Atheist Eye Candy says:

Nonsense. It is a burden for the existence of a woman to become a priest.

  9. jane_e_j says:

Never, it's a good thing for many of us women, we know that God is the order-er, not a creation of Flesh and Blood God.who may think the state's authority over God.

first (JUST MY OPINION) that organized religion is oldest joke dullest man has never played in the species. That said, there is absolutely no reason why women should not be allowed to educate people about good and evil and moral implications of both options. Mothers who have been filling the role of Milena.

  11. jeremy.b says:

I think it would be good. The Virgin Mary was a woman was not she? Jesus probably had a strong connection with his mother, he wouldnt want to keep the women in her church.

It is a moot point, I'm afraid. Catholic Sacred Tradition (including the Bible) says that priests must be men. Contrary to popular belief, the Church can not and will not change based on Sacred Tradition what people want (or think you want). Sacred Tradition, because they are sacred, do not change to fit society, culture, etc. And I prefer that the majority of Catholics in this way, despite vocal dissent.
If Jesus had wanted women priests, has been selected female apostles. But that did not happen. Not that women do not serve or not as great teachers and religious leaders. Women Doctors of the Church - like St. Catherine of Siena, St. Teresa of Avila and St. Therese of Lisieux. These doctors are among the greatest teachers and leaders of the Church.
However, priests are not only teachers and leaders. As the Mass is not just a worship service. Mass is a re-presentation of Christ's sacrifice. It is the prayer of the Son, the Lord Jesus, the Father. And the priest acts as the representative of Christ. Also, the sacraments are actions that unite us with Jesus, so that only a priest can administer the sacraments.

  13. yozakura says:

I will not. It is not biblical and is not something that any Christian must accept even if they say go by the Bible. It is very clear that women should not be in the role of ministers or priests even though they can lead the church in many other ways that are best suited for them and that they can excel even more.

  14. ramall1t says:

The Catholic Church never ordered women. The Church has no authority to order the women. The priesthood is a sacrament by Jesus at the Last Supper. We also chose twelve men as apostles. A priest acts "in persona Christi," which means it takes the place of Jesus, where the administration of the sacraments. A woman can not do this because she can not take the place of Jesus, who was a man. It does not mean that men are better than women. Women and men are the same when it comes to human dignity but are physically, emotionally, and spritually different, which is how God created.
