It is desirable that the priests in the Catholic Church should be allowed to marry?
Why / why not?
- Now that the Catholic priests have no right where the church property to be allowed to marry?
- How would the Catholic Church when priests and nuns were always allowed to marry?
- If I do the Catholic Church allowed priests to marry, some sexual problems would go away?
- Do you agree that Catholic priests should be allowed to marry?
- Is it time the Catholic Church allowed priests to marry? This would help solve more than one problem at a time?

Marriage is a sacrament in the Catholic Church. Celibacy is not.
Men and women choose not to marry following:
+ The recommended practice in the Bible
+ The example of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and the apostle Paul.
+ + + + + + Book
+ In Matthew 19:12, Jesus says: "Some are incapable of marriage because they were born, some because they were made so by others, some because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of heaven . Whoever can accept this should accept it to. "
Jesus said that celibacy is a gift from God and whoever can bear to bear. Jesus praises and recommends celibacy for full-time ministers in the Church. Because celibacy is a gift from God, those who criticize the practice of the Church of God, celibacy and criticize this wonderful gift that gives to his elect.
+ In Matthew 19:29, Jesus says, "And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. "
Who gives to the children for the sake of His name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. Jesus praises celibacy when it is done for the sake of his kingdom.
+ Matthew 22:30 - Jesus explains: "In the resurrection neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels in heaven."
In heaven there is no marriage. Bring Jesus to reign on earth, priests living heavenly consecration to God by not having a wife in marriage. In this way, priests are able to focus exclusively on the spiritual family, and no more pressure of the biological family (which is for the vocation of marriage). This also makes it easier for priests to be transferred to different parishes where they are most needed without having to worry about the effects of their transfer to the wife and children.
+ In 1 Corinthians 7:1, Paul writes: "It's a good thing for a man not to touch a woman."
This is an option for Catholic priests of the Roman rite freely.
+ Then in 1 Corinthians 7:7, Paul says, "Indeed, I want everyone to be like I am."
Paul acknowledges that celibacy is a gift from God and wishes that all were celibate like he is.
+ In 1 Corinthians 7:27, Paul writes, "Are you free from a wife? Then do not look for a woman. "
Paul teaches that men are not looking for marriage. According to Paul, marriage introduces worldly temptations that can interfere with the relationship with God, specifically in relation to those who become full-time ministers in the Church.
+ In 1 Corinthians 7:32-33, Paul teaches, "I want to be free of concerns. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how you can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the things of the world, how can please his wife. "And in verse 38," Then, he marries his virgin does well, do not marry her will do better. "
Paul recommends celibacy for full-time ministers in the Church so that they can concentrate fully on the creation of God and his kingdom. "The couple who abstains from doing better."

Celibate clergy did not come into full bloom until around 1000 AD there were many married priests, bishops, popes and before this time.
Biblical models of a celibate clergy came from the Jews, John the Baptist, Jesus and the apostle Paul.
Jews. The Talmud states that a person whose soul is bound to the Torah and is constantly occupied with it "can remain celibate (Maimonides, Laws of Marriage 15.3). For example, the Lord directed the prophet Jeremiah not to marry (Jeremiah 16:1-4). Furthermore, the Essenes were a group that is active in Jesus' time who practice celibacy and the thinking of most scholars the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls.
WWJD? What Would Jesus? Jesus did not marry.
John the Baptist and Jesus are both believed to have been celibate all his life. Some scholars believe that the example of the Essenes influenced either or both Jesus and John the Baptist in their celibacy.
The Apostle Paul is explicit about his celibacy (cf. 1 Cor. 7). There is also evidence in the Gospel of Matthew for the practice of celibacy among at least some of the early Christians, in the famous passage about becoming "eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 19:12).
The concept took many twists and turns in recent years and probably a bit more before Christ returns in glory.
A priest is "married" with the Church. Some people think that a priest who takes his duties seriously can not take good care of his wife and family. "A man can not serve two masters."
With love in Christ.
Why not? I believe that allowing widows, but they should allow women and, I mean, after all the world charged with worship of the Virgin Mary, why are not women in power if praying to a woman? and I think that the first apostles married.
Me. I do believe in the thesis of Martin Luther.
I … they have taken the most basic human impulse and instinct and need and made off limits to these poor men, and I know this is not the celibacy in the Christian Bible. I think this Pent up latent sexuality that has been going for years illegally bearing priests would never happen if they could live a normal sex life.
Yes, perhaps so that all abuses Pent up your libido has caused thousands of children forever marked throughout the world.
I think it depends on what God tells them to do personally.
Not me. The priests were spiritually married to the Church. If you also have wives physical divide their loyalties.
Celibacy does not lead to pedophilia.
Yes, you must be allowed to marry. Would close the door for pedophiles and arrest many of the sexual abuse going on.
Stop due to financial reasons to start with an open can of great problems in more ways than one. Not allowing them to marry had nothing to do with celibacy.
The first pope was married.
Perhaps the sense why not, it would not be able to give 100% to God … I guess that's what you should do a priest.
Yo. There is no biblical basis for not allowing them to marry.
Yo. I also think we should have women priests and stop being so hypocritical about birth control. Fewer and fewer Catholics follow the dictates of the Church on birth control.
They used to be able to marry in the day, the Catholic Church must bring back.
I believe that male priests should be allowed to marry the woman, but I do not know why the Catholic Church believes that this, that priests should remain celibate. Maybe if they are allowed to marry, not attack guys ……
Maybe I should …
Men have needs …
nobody has the right to deny another love
is the belief that forcing priests to be bound by largest alleged that opposes to see their natural inclinations of its alleged creator
we are always free to do what we want
you where you want to be
yes …….. ….. its natural normal lifestyle
The priests should be married. There is nothing in the Bible that it is possible to recommend the separation of men and women. Both sexes were meant to be together. God created Adam and Eve created by what would help someone to spend time with a mate and what would not be alone. This occurs in the first book of the Bible, Genesis. What reason for being, then, that the Catholic Church has for the maintenance of priests to marry? Very little.
I do not see why not. We have seen what happens when you do not let them marry, become pedophiles.
Only the priests can marry once same-sex marriage is legalized and the church works to enable people to stop demonizing the other.
It is better to appeal to the nuns.
But if they are perverts, I do not believe that marriage helps.
With condoms can not be used, children have married priests. That does not sound like a good idea to me.
Not me, because some are called to live a life of celibacy. If they want to marry, then they should be pastors or Reverands or something else. A priest is called to a celibate life.
I have no preference on the issue. The boys enter the priesthood, knowing they are not allowed to marry, that is their decision. They can also leave the priesthood in the will, nobody is what stays. If you say that the cult of male religious leaders can not marry, which is their prerogative. Like the Southern Baptist seminary who recently fired from his teacher, saying that only men are allowed to teach on the ministry. May not agree with him, but that is their practice of worship. All religions are cults, on the road.
There are some people who think that if the priests are allowed to marry, are prevented from being pedophiles. What one has to do with the other?
The Bible does not prohibit the marriage of Pastors. In fact, says that being married should be able to counsel others. Satanic churches in some traditions must be eliminated.
The Church did Cathloic abstinence from a holy marriage ceremony, but not kill the homosexual priests abusing children. Paul said that marriage is better than burning.
I never understood why they can not marry. i also never monk and the nun thing. It seems that the church is punishing them for no reason. God made man and woman marry it and have a partner to have sex with. He points pleasure for a reason and the priests have them. I think it should be their decision if they want to be celibate for God or if they marry. I hope to provide the Catholic religion at that.
Perhaps it would be to keep plowing the altar boys.
Yes they should have the same rights to marriage as others do. The Vatican believes that married priests would not be fully capable of taking care of their parishes. It is not true …. Look at the success of the married Protestant priests. Perhaps the Catholic Church should stop trying to control their priests and their lives both ….
If allowed, it might stop bothering you guys.
I do not understand why not.
They are allowed, they can not be a priest rather than making that choice.
They should be allowed to marry. Think of all the young boys to be able to live their lives with as-a * is violated.
Sure, you could write this as a stupid answer, but I think I make a good point.
