Roman Catholic vs. Protestant?

Im not sure about this, but I have heard that many Catholic beliefs and traditions (eg, holy water) was instituted during the reign of Constantine (Roman emperor). At that time, was considered a "thing" to be a Christian.
Many Catholics, including practices arent ordained in the Bible, for example, prayer to Mary or the other apostles and the pope have so much power and everything.
For me rather obvious that his original Protestant Christianity continue … therefore it is the same for Catholics? sry if im really ignoring here …

  1. King David says:

Roman Catholics in general do not know much about the Bible and are easily led astray. They have more of a blind faith then do Protestants.
True Christians are not bound by the argument that will be built on Peter and Papacy and the Roman Catholic Church.
      Catholic Church means universal.
The Church is the body of believers and an entry in this body to receive Jesus for the atonement and remission of sins.
Every Christian should care enough about their faith and teachers to discuss what is taught.
In the days before the word of God is available to people and the common layman can read the Bible laity have no choice but to follow the traditions of men mixed with the gospel, but the Word of God became accessible and the language of common man and the false or portions of the Roman Catholic Church was revealed.
Any Catholic who has entered into a relationship with God through Jesus would be prudent to leave the Roman Catholic Church and finding a church that does things abhorrent to the Roman Catholic Church does.

You are right. For this reason, the Protestants protested. However, the Protestants are really following the Bible which was created under the direction of Constantine. Some Protestants argue that the Bible is the complete word of God, but we know very well that many scriptures and gospels were not included for political reasons. Furthermore, the Bible itself does not purport to be complete by the word of God. In fact, the Bible says: "The letter killeth but the Spirit gives life."
Only one thing about Mary. I used to think that prayer to Mary was a mistake. Now I think it is to write to ask Mary pray for us. Is it wrong to ask the help of someone who has achieved a higher level of spirituality especially Mary, the mother of our Lord? Of course, we pray to God directly, but I think that asking for help from those loved by God, is not bad at all.

Wiki of Martin Luther. (The black guy is not the reformer with a dream)
But seriously, once found throughout the world where corrupt Catholic who thinks the relgion who have died there and then.
the only reason why people are Catholics, and let you go from there traditions
      EDIT
"There is emphasis on the Bible. Also go by tradition. "
That is what I was more or less trying to say, I just didn't get it 3 thumbs

  4. Panda Bear says:

Martin Luther had a bit of rebellion against the Catholic Church, which was when the only form of Christian church. then the German princes who were against Luther, joined together forced, against Luther, but the princes opposing others (princes) were called Protestants. So, in conclusion, if you think that ideology Luthers question the authority of the Pope is more Christian-like, so, I think it is oherwise an opinion about how strict or control what the configuration of the Christian church should be like

As for holy water, baptism has existed since the days of John the Baptist. Jesus washed the feet of the other apostles. God parted the Red Sea. Water has always been important in the design of God. Catholics honor Mary, the mother of Jesus, as a defender in prayer. This is the magnificent "blessed among women is me" in the New Testament. Rosary prayers often refer to Christ's passion and role of Mary "blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus." It is generally accepted that the Pope is directed by the Holy Spirit when making decisions, and therefore infallible. This could be a difficult concept to understand, but the position of the Catholic Church on the sanctity of life appears in line with what the Holy Spirit wants. Protestant originated from "protest" and for good cause. Calvin, Luther, Smith and other Protestant leaders were certainly not perfect either.

I agree with you. The RC church is man made. I asked a former nun on the petition and did not even know what the word meant and he said that, obviously, just pray the rosary on the life of Mary. This is, of course, not everyone in the Bible. And the worst part of it was horrible for me is that almost all his family treat her like a queen because she is a former nun and believe and agree with every word you said, no doubt. She was fascinated. She is very dominant and they are afraid of it. I prayed for her to get away and she did, but talking on the phone.

  7. Jean †SFECU† pray4revival says:

Catholics and Orthodox Christians follow the teachings of the Apostolic Church - originall was the Church that Jesus founded.
In the 16th century, Martin Luther began a movement called the Reformation. He invented "only by faith" (see Open Letter to Luther's translation), and writing alone, he threw seven books of the Bible that the Catholic / Orthodox Church put together in the 4th century and began to move away from the sacraments, shooting five of seven and leaving only Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion). The judge of the doctrines Protestants that Catholics are man-made doctrines.

  8. ALL of Grace (Kathryn E. Stuart) says:

Reform is a rejection of the abuses of the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century. History shows that it is much more about the political beliefs of that religion.
Anyway, there is no original Christianity, Christianity is something that took centuries to form what we now know (as the Bible).
We may never know Jesus (if there) tried to explain ourselves.

  9. Bob T says:

his first was as a Christian Jew, what we call the Greek, the Roman Catholic Church, the Protestant who says the whole world goes to hell, including the Roman Catholic Church Christian, oh can not get from the Mormons more books only add to the problem that confuses us more than the last, but not for fear of the Muslims and allow them to forget they are a group of other problem, let's see
yes lets not forget the Jehovah's Witnesses allowed to forget either loll
I say it is a mad crazy world where some go to the Christian faith, then we have others to call the Christian religion is not helping my soul oh dear.

  10. Linda says:

Roman Catholics are the original Christians. Is not to put emphasis on the Bible. go by the same tradition.
Protestants began as Martin Luther, a Roman Catholic priest quot church and started his own.

  11. Nora says:

They believe they have a mandate from Jesus through Peter to teach or believe what they want. Very convenient, but not very accurate. The best thing to do is read the Bible and find a church that teaches what they have read. I'm Adventist, but you make your own mind.

I thought that Jesus started the Catholic faith? i could be wrong

  16. CMT says:

I would say that is a bit ignorant. Let's be honest. EVERY Christian interprets the Bible in some way or form. There is nobody who is taking every word in the Bible and calling for the truth. Agree? What do you think of Revelations (the book nobody wants to talk because it is so crazy)? Can you honestly tell me who follow this book, literally, not interpretively?
Protestants did not know he had such contempt for Catholics until I did a lot of Protestant friends in college. Everyone loved to bash Catholicism, as if it were somehow less "real." Yes, Catholicism is much more traditional rituals, but for God's sake (literally) are not all Christians believe in and basically the same? Not to mention, there are many Protestant churches, some of which do not appear until the last couple hundred years. Are all more original than Catholicism? What happens to fairly extreme beliefs and Christian traditions of scientists? Are more original? We are all much more similar that different. We should really start acting like him.

  17. Jumi21d says:

and the original Christianity was Roman Catholic, as Protestantism appeared late .. Roman Catholicism remains the traditions of the first apostolics and fathers of the church .. Protestants are many doctrines of Catholicism as the holy trinity and so on .. the holy water and praying to Mary .. and the holy water is symbolic and Mary is the Mother of God .. Jesus is God and Man, and He is our Lord .. Mary is our mother and we only ask to pray for us in heaven .. Where are all the apostles and their mother .. belonging to the Church in heaven .. Protestantism and Christianity can not be original, because they disagree with many facts of the Bible salvation by faith is not the action is not well .. when the Bible calls for us both. Protestants and the rejection of bishops and priests are indicated in the pastoral letters to Timothy .. Saint Peter as the rock refused to put Jesus on the church .. .. Matthew 16:18 Protestantism not collect the books of the New Testament .. Catholic Church in the fact that the Ecumenical Council of Nicea, Ephesus .. Many Protestants reject the holy trinity and some reject Jesus as God and stuff .. when the Catholic Church has always recognized Jesus as God and man .. some say it is not Mary the Mother of God .. then Jesus is not God at the same time .. He was God before and after birth .. That is just a title .. we know that God has no beginning, but he wanted to be a human and went to earth through Mary ..
