Yes The Second Vatican Council and a better understanding of the Bible. The first letter of Paul to the church at Corinth in chapter 11 states: But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered, it is a shame on the head, as it is one and the same as if he had a shaved head. This section of Paul's letter is devoted to the regulation of conduct in the liturgy and, in particular women's dress in the assembly of the church. Women have been participating in worship at Corinth without headscarves normal for women of honor in Greek society of the time. Paul's stated goal is for them to return to compliance with contemporary practice and property. This does not mean that women must cover their heads today, but it must be consistent with contemporary practice and ownership of your honorable women culture.http: / / www.nccbuscc.org/nab/bible/1corin .. . With love in Christ.

Still "should" do, I think as part of their religion, but without creating a difference between Muslim women who do. Makes sense, because in all the churches that represent the images show Mary that she is veiled. So modesty is necessary in Christianity, but not practiced.

Christianity has always been affected by the culture of the adoption community. Like the Roman Empire, by adopting Christianity, that his name icons Peter Neptune, Venus, Maria, and from the emperor to the pope. This has nothing to do with the "stuff of Vatican 2," but everything has to do with the culture that is adjusted or incorporated into the belief system of Christianity. Here is some of our elderly Argentina in the provinces still use white head covering, but the younger generation rarely would. Before the old have rosary in his hands from the moment you leave your house until his chapel, but now the younger followers have cell phones in their hands from the moment you leave your house until they reach the chapel. Ugh. . . Our culture is very effective evangelization of our faith. What irony!

If this could be due to anything, then enters the Second Vatican Council. Some Catholics still maintain the practice and indeed in some churches still necessary. This is partly due to some confusion as to whether it was indeed overthrown by the Second Vatican Council or not. In the early documents of Vatican II affirms that the above code is completely replaced with the new. The above code requires women to cover their heads, the new simply not mentioned the issue. Catholics are, in a debate about whether silence is a reversal of an ancient tradition. There is a very interesting argument but at the following website: http://www.catholicintl.com/epologetics/ ... This is between two Catholics who disagree over whether the practice continues after Vatican II, not whether head covering is in fact the Bible. To consider the second point, please read my answer to this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... This question was about the men and long hair, but given the way that supports both aspects is the same, the discussion in this passage can be applied equally to women and head covering, as it can to the men and hair long. Enjoy!

When he wrote the new levy, it was left out. Do not say that it was not necessary, but also say it was not necessary. It was simply omitted. Therefore, most women stopped covering their heads. Some still do.

The Catholic religion was that they were harsh in their beliefs and standards. The Bible says a woman must cover her head, but if she has hair, and then his head is covered.
