What is the Catholic faith with some (not only question Rude Please answer)?

I am a Christian, but now I was raised Catholic
  .. and more bound
  anyway
Why Catholic priests can not marry? was not as it was before?
Why should I go to confession when it's not like priests are better than me. I thought everyone said that was a sinner so the priest gives the right to be trusted? And why some people keep telling me that I have altars to worship the large statue of Jesus and Mary

Well let me try to answer a question at the same time.
The priests can not marry (except in the Eastern rite), because there is a passage in Matthew (Matt I 20) where Jesus says that it is better for some than for celibacy for the sake of the kingdom. Read Theology of the Body of John Paul II and Christopher West - "The good news about sex and marriage."
When they go to confession preist acts like Jesus. It is God through the priest. God gave power to the priest. When we tell our sins, we tell God and God is trully sorry for them.
We do not worship statues, but venerate the saints and Mary. When we come to a statue and touch it and pray, saying a prayer to the Santa Maria or not the statue itself.
I hope this helps and God bless you on your journey!

The Catholic Church believes that Christianity should be a theology of life. They believe that the pope and the curia was inspired to create new dogma. While this has something to recommend that the dead in front of the theology of some fundamentalists, who believe that nobody has drawn from the writer died of Revelation, not lead to decisions that can make sense at the time but now seems strange.
Married priests was an economic decision. It is cheaper to house single men and feed (which can live on pizza and beer) as married couples. Once the priesthood became a profession rather than call a volunteer, the church began to make rules.
The confession of the church was the political and economic power. Political, since they can control their subjects. Economic, because penance frequently involve contributions to the church and indulgences (pre penances) were a lucrative business.
Mary became a big business, because the hierarchy wanted to force men to women in positions of power, but keep them as members of the herd. The Virgin Mary (as opposed to the possible companion and disciple of Jesus, Mary Magdalene) became the model for women.

Christianity is based on the Bible and the life of Jesus and his teachings. Therefore, one of Christian beliefs and teachings must be in harmony with the Bible or what they no longer represent God and Christ, but they distort. Should never be so! Curiously, it is noted that Pope Paul, in his encyclical Sacerdotalis Caelibatus (Priestly Celibacy, 1967), adopted as the celibacy requirement for clergy, but admitted that "preserving the New Testament teaching of Christ and the Apostles … . not openly demand celibacy of sacred ministers …. Jesus himself did not make it a prerequisite for their choice of the Twelve Apostles, or those who presided over the first Christian communities. "- The papal encyclicals 1958-1981 (Fakkan Church, Virginia, 1981), p.204 if the Pope recognized this, why was above God and Christ through the rigorous and demanding, no such standards for the natural clergy, which helps you understand why you can not have so many sex crimes within the priesthood. More confessions - the traditional way, is still used often is: "Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. Was (such a long period of time) since my last confession. " Whereas in Matthew 23:1,9 Catholic Jerusalem Bible says "Jesus said ,…" you should call anyone on earth your father, since only the Father, and he is in heaven. "Jesus the religious significance in the medium term that the father so their life is good to call our own father, father, or God, Father, for they are life-giving. Nowhere in the Bible are to confess our sins to anyone, but our father, because as you said "they are no better than us" born in sin and imperfect as we are. Matthew 6:9-12 reads, in part, what the words of Jesus is not a priest, "You should read:" Our Father in heaven. … forgive us our debts. " In regard to worship images or statues of the Catholic Jerusalem Bible says in Exodus 20:4,5 (Incidentally this is one of the Ten Commandments!) "Should not be a carved image or any likeness of anything in heaven or on earth beneath or in the waters under the earth, you shall not bow down to them or their service because I, Yahweh (which is the name of Jehovah is pronounced in Hebrew), your God, am a jealous God . There are many other scriptures to support these ideas, please contact me if you want to know more.

I do not know all the answers to your question, but I will try anyway.
Why cannot married priests is because years ago when I was starting to Catholisim priests were allowed to marry, but when the priests are dying all his property would go to his wife and family instead of the church. It made so that the priests could marry so that the church will have all Wau after his death.
Also, the Catholic Church was a woman his name was Pope John Pope, but decided to make it a church Rann all men, for obvious reasons.
Priests, in my opinion, as we have seen an intermediary between God and people, the nature of Jesus is like many other denominations. Other names, his "confession" Jesus, when you pray, but Catholiscm must confess to a priest in vivo. Do you still say prayers to be forgiven, but in essence, the priest has the power to forgive sins by his. I do not know if this makes little sense.
I have no idea about the people to worship idols.
      I hope this helps!

JESUS and the apostles married. Chastity is not an option-it'sa requirement. A marriage is no one is allowed. I am celibate, but not a priest. And the confession and celibacy is for the same reason. .. Goods because the black priest dies himself to serve Christ, crucifiying meat and that meat is not like the angels, as is Jesus. . .. to confess to a priest who is "in persona Christi" in the person of Christ. You confessed to the priest who is acting as a servant of Christ, in the name of Christ, and absolves him of his sin in the name of Christ. .. Christ is meek and humble and Christ is Lord. Be meek and humble and accept that Jesus is Lord. .. Jesus did not sin. .. Woe to those who bear the scandal to the Church in the name of Christ. .. not worship the statue of Mother Mary is a family photo to make us think about our mother. . . Mother Mary is our Mother because we believe in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Holy Eucharist. .. This means that when you eat and drink Literally you receive Christ. .. and then binds to the Word of God. .. married to Christ. .. and inherit mother Mary as our Mother. .. God our Father and the Father. .. There are some deep philosophy here. .. you must go to a catechism class and learn more about this. . .

    + + Celebate Clergy
Celibate clergy did not come into full bloom until around 1000 AD there were many married priests, bishops, popes and before this time.
Priests, religious brothers and religious sisters (nuns) as part of their vocation not to marry following:
+ The recommended practice in the Bible
+ The example of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist and the apostle Paul.
      Writing
In Matthew 19:12, Jesus says: "Some are incapable of marriage because they were born, some because they were made so by others, some because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Who can accept this should accept it. "
      In Matthew 19:29, Jesus says, "And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for the sake of my name will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life." ;
Matthew 22:30 - Jesus explains: "In the resurrection neither marry nor are given in marriage but are like angels in heaven."
In 1 Corinthians 7:1, Paul writes: "It's a good thing for a man not to touch a woman."
Then in 1 Corinthians 7:7, Paul says, "Indeed, I want everyone to be like I am."
In 1 Corinthians 7:27, Paul writes, "Are you free from a wife? Then do not look for a woman. "
In 1 Corinthians 7:32-33, Paul teaches, "I want to be free of concerns. An unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how you can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the things of the world, how can please his wife. "And in verse 38," Then, he marries his virgin does well, do not marry her will do better. "
Paul recommends celibacy for full-time ministers in the Church so that they can concentrate fully on the creation of God and his kingdom. "The couple who abstains from doing better."
      See also 1 Timothy 5:9-12, 2 Timothy 2:3-4, Revevation 14:4, Isaiah 56:3-7, and Jeremiah 16:1-4.
      Scriptural Examples
Biblical models of a celibate clergy came from John the Baptist, Jesus and the apostle Paul.
John the Baptist and Jesus are both believed to have been celibate all his life. Some scholars believe that the example of the Essenes influenced either or both Jesus and John the Baptist in their celibacy.
WWJD? What Would Jesus? Jesus did not marry.
The Apostle Paul is explicit about his celibacy (cf. 1 Cor. 7). There is also evidence in the Gospel of Matthew for the practice of celibacy among at least some of the early Christians, in the famous passage about becoming "eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 19:12).
The concept took many twists and turns in recent years and probably a bit more before Christ returns in glory.
A priest is "married" with the Church. Some people think that a priest who takes his duties seriously can not take good care of his wife and family. "A man can not serve two masters."
      + Reconciliation (Confession) +
The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."
When a penitent person asks God for forgiveness, his (or his) sins are immediately forgiven.
Catholics also believe that when someone sins that not only hurt their relationship with God, but also hurt the whole church, the body of Christ.
Jesus said, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. What bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. "(Matthew 16:19)
And when he had said this, breathed on them and told them: "Receive the Holy Spirit. Who forgives sins are forgiven, whose sins you retain are retained. " (Luke 20:22-23)
Oral confess our sins, it is recommended over and over again in both the Old and New Testament:
      + James 5:16
      Acts 19:18 +
      + Matthew 3:5-6
      + Mark 1:5
      + 1 Timothy 6:12
      + 1 John 1:9
      + Numbers 5:6-7
      Nehemiah 9:2 +
      Sir + 4:26
The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation with a priest ordained in the name of Jesus Christ not only reconciles the sinner to God, but with the whole church, including you and me.http: / / http://www.usccb.org/catechism/ text/pt2s …
      Graves + Photos +
I seriously doubt that any Catholic that you had a statue of worship.
Do you have pictures of their loved ones? Have you ever looked at the picture of someone while talking on the phone with them?
Statues and images of people we love are not idols.
Statues and paintings of Jesus and the saints are like photographs of the people you love and respect.
The King James Version of the Bible, in Exodus 20:4 says: "Do you taxed any image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth, or that is in the water under the earth "
Why the Jews were commanded not to encumber the images? Imposed images were the standard method of pagan worship. Representations were false gods.
This is a very clear command.
But the Jews God in Exodus 25:18 and 1 Chronicles 28:18-19, "And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou will"
And in 1 Kings chapter 7 Solomon made bulls and other images of precious metals.
It seems clear that the Jews do not worship and cherubims Solomon did not worship the bulls he had done. These images did not violate the command of God. Therefore, an image is not acceptable for worship.
In Numbers 21:8-9, "And the LORD said to Moses," Make a saraph and mounted on a stick, and if someone has been bitten in the sights, he will recover. "Moses accordingly made a bronze serpent and mounted on a pole and whenever anyone who had been bitten by a serpent looked at the bronze serpent, he recovered."
And in John 3:14-15, Jesus says in the correlation, "And as Moses lifted the [image of a] serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted so that the whole world that cree in it can have eternal life. "
How can a statue of our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross is seen as an idol to a false god? A crucifix is the message of the Gospel without words, remained in sight of all, a visual reminder of the sacrifice of Jesus, not unlike a painting, a play or a movie.
Catholics do not worship statues but the almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
      + With love in Christ.

  9. Daver says:

<<Why can not Catholic priests marry? it was like before it was>>
Celibacy is the Church practice, not dogma
Matt. 19:11-12 - Jesus says celibacy is a gift from God and whoever can bear to bear. Jesus praises and recommends celibacy for full-time ministers in the Church. Because celibacy is a gift from God, those who criticize the practice of the Church of God, celibacy and criticize this wonderful gift that gives to his elect.
Matt. 19:29 - Jesus says that whoever gives up their children for the sake of His name will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. Jesus praises celibacy when it is done for the sake of his kingdom.
Matt. 22:30 - Jesus explains that in heaven there is no marriage. Bring Jesus to reign on earth, priests living heavenly consecration to God by not having a wife in marriage. In this way, priests are able to focus exclusively on the spiritual family, and no more pressure of the biological family (which is for the vocation of marriage). This also makes it easier for priests to be transferred to different parishes where they are most needed without having to worry about the effects of their transfer to the wife and children.
1 Cor 7:1 - Paul teaches that it is okay for a man not to touch a woman. This is an option for Catholic priests of the Roman rite freely.
1 Cor. 7:7 - Paul also acknowledges that celibacy is a gift from God and wishes that all were celibate like he is.
1 Cor. 7:27 - Paul teaches that men are not looking for marriage. According to Paul, marriage introduces worldly temptations that can interfere with the relationship with God, specifically in relation to those who become full-time ministers in the Church.
1 Cor. 7:32-33, 38 - Paul recommends celibacy for full-time ministers in the Church so that they can concentrate fully on the creation of God and his kingdom. "The couple who abstains from doing better."
1 Tim. 3:2 - Paul instructs that bishops must be married only once. Many Protestants use this verse to prove that the Church's celibacy law is in error. But they are mistaken because this verse refers to bishops that widowers. Paul is instructing that these widowers could not remarry. The verse also refers to those bishops who were married. Also, can not marry (in the Eastern Rite Catholic Church, priests are allowed to marry, celibacy is only a rule of discipline for the clergy of the Roman Rite). Therefore, this text has nothing to do with the imposition of a condition of marriage to become a bishop.
1 Tim. 4:3 - this verse, Paul refers to doctrines that forbid marriage misleading. Many non-Catholics also use this verse to challenge the Church of the practice of celibacy. This is totally wrong because the Catholic Church (unlike many Protestant churches) exalts marriage to a sacrament. In fact, marriage is raised to a sacrament, but consecrated virginity is not. The Church states that the sacred marriage, and lifegiving pact. Paul refers to doctrines that forbid marriage and other goods when done outside the teaching of Christ and a good landlord. Celibacy is an act of abandoning a well (marriage and children) for a greater good (complete spiritual union with God).
1 Tim. 5:9-12 - Paul recommends that older widows have a commitment to celibacy. This was the beginning of women religious orders.
2 Tim. 2:3-4 - Paul instructs his bishop Timothy that no soldier in the civil service become entangled in activities, as they aim to satisfy his one who recruited him. Paul uses an analogy to describe the role of priestly celibacy in the Church.
Rev. 14:4 - unlike our sinful world of the flesh, in heaven, those consecrated to virginity are honored.
Isaiah 56:3-7 - the eunuchs who keep God's covenant will have a special place in the kingdom of heaven.
Jer. 16:1-4 - Jeremiah was told by God not to have a wife or children.
<<And ¿Por have to go to confession when It's as the priests are no better than any me.>>
Jesus Christ given to his apostles authority to forgive sins
John 20:21 - before He grants them the authority to forgive sins, Jesus says to the apostles, "as the Father sent me, so I send you." As Christ was sent by the Father to forgive sins, so Christ sends the apostles and their successors forgive sins.
John 20:22 - the Lord "breathes" on the apostles, and then gives them the power to forgive and retain sins. The only other time in Scripture where God breathes on man in general is 2:7, when God "breathes" divine life in man. When this happens, a major transformation takes place.
John 20:23 - Jesus says: "If you forgive the sins they are forgiven. If retengáis, they are held. "In order for the apostles to exercise this gift of forgiving sins, the penitents must orally confess their sins to the apostles because there are no readers. The text makes this very clear.
Matt. 9:8 - this verse shows that God has given authority to forgive sins to "men". Thus, Protestants who acknowledge that the apostles had the authority to forgive sins (which this verse demonstrates) must prove that this gift ended with the apostles. Otherwise, the apostles' successors still possess this gift. Where in Scripture is the gift of authority to forgive sins away from the apostles or their successors?
Matt. 9:6, Mark 2:10 - Christ forgave the sins that a man (not God) to convince us that the "Son of man" has authority to forgive sins on earth.
Luke 5:24 - Luke notes that Jesus' authority to forgive sins is as a man, not God. The Gospel writers record this to convince us that God has given this authority to men. This authority has been transferred from Christ to the apostles and their successors.
Matt. 18:18 - the apostles are given the authority to bind and loose. The authority to bind the government and released in time and includes the elimination of penalties due to sin. The Jews understood this since the birth of the Church.
John 20:22-23, Matt. 18:18 - the power to transfer / retain sin is also the option to transfer / retain the punishment due to sin. If Christ's ministers can forgive the eternal penalty of sin, which may refer the temporal punishment of sin (called an "indulgence").
2 Cor. 2:10 - Paul forgives in the presence of Christ (some translations refer to the presence of Christ as "in persona Christi"). Some say this may be a reference to sins.
2 Cor. 5:18 - the ministry of reconciliation was given to the ambassadors of the Church. This ministry of reconciliation refers to the sacrament of reconciliation, also called the sacrament of confession or penance.
James 5:15-16 - in verse 15 we see that sins are forgiven by the priests in the sacrament of the sick. This is another example of man's authority to forgive sins on earth. Then in verse 16, James said: "Therefore, confess our sins to each other", referring to the men referred to in verse 15, the priests of the Church.
1 Tim. 2:5 - Christ is the only mediator, but he was free to decide how His mediation would be applied to us. The Lord chose the priests of God to carry out its work of forgiveness.
Lev. 5:4-6, 19:21-22 - even in the Old Covenant, God used priests to forgive and atone for the sins of others.
The need and practice of oral confession of sins
James 5:16 - James clearly teaches us that we must "confess our sins to each other," not just privately to God. James 5:16 must be read in the context of James 5:14-15, which refers to the healing power (both physical and spiritual) of the priests of the Church. Therefore, when James says "therefore" in verse 16, which should refer to the men he was writing about in verses 14 and 15 - these men are the ordained priests of the Church to whom we must confess our sins.
Acts 19:18 - many came to orally confess sins and divulge their sinful practices. Oral confession was the practice of the early Church as it is today.
Matt. 3:6, Mark 1:5 - again, this shows people confessing their sins before others as a historical practice (here to John the Baptist).
1 Tim. 6:12 - this verse also refers to the historical practice of confessing sins and faith in the presence of many witnesses.
1 John 1:9 - if they are to confess our sins, God is faithful to us and forgive us and cleanse us. But we must confess our sins to one another.
Num 5:7 - this shows the historical practice of publicly confessing sins, and making public restitution.
2 Sam. 12:14 - despite the fact that sin is forgiven, the punishment due for sin forgiven. David is forgiven but his child was still taken (the consequence of his sin).
Neh. 9:2-3 - the Israelites was before the assembly and confessed sins publicly and interceded for each other.
Lord. 4:26 - God tells us that he is not ashamed to confess our sins, and not to try to stem the flow of a river. Anyone who has experienced the sacrament of reconciliation understands the import of this verse.
Baruch 1:14 - again, this shows that the people made the confession in the house of the Lord, before the assembly.
1 John 5:16-17, Luke 12:47-48 - there is a distinction between mortal and venial sins. This has been the teaching of the Catholic Church for 2000 years, but today, most Protestants no longer agree that there is such a distinction. Mortal sins lead to death and must be absolved in the sacrament of reconciliation. Venial sins need not be confessed to a priest, but the pious Catholic practice is to do in order to move forward on our path to holiness.
Matt. 5:19 - Jesus teaches that breaking the least of commandments is venial sin (the person remains, but is saved in the kingdom), versus mortal sin (the person is not saved).
<<And why do people keep telling me that I have altars to worship this great statue of Jesus and Mary>>
Veneration / Honor de los Santos
Matt. 18:10 - the angels in heaven always behold the face of God. We revere for its great dignity and union with God.
Matt. 15:4, Luke 18:20, Eph. 6:2-3 Exodus 20:12, Lev. 19:3, Deut. 5:16 - was commissioned to honor our father and mother.
Luke 1:28 - worships the angel Gabriel to Mary to declare his "Hail full of grace." The angel heavenly honors human Mary, for her perfection of grace is superior to the angels.
Romans 13:7 - let's give the honor to be honored. When we honor the sons of God, honor God, He is the source of all honor.
1 Cor. 4:16 - the most important form of veneration of saints is "imitate" the saints, as Paul commands us to do.
1 Cor. 11:1 - again, Paul says, "Be imitators of me, and I of Christ." The ultimate goal of veneration is imitation.
Phil. 2:25-29 - Paul teaches us to honor Epaprhoditus almost died for the faith. How much should honor those saints who did not die for the faith!
Phil. 3:17 - Paul says to imitate him and others, which is the object of veneration. Veneration is not worship.
1 Thess. 1:6 - Paul says to the Thessalonians, "You became imitators of us and the Lord." This is the purpose of worship.
2 Thess. 3:7 - Paul says that the Thessalonians should imitate him and other bishops.
Hebrews 3:3 - Jesus is worthy of more glory and honor to Moses. This does not mean that the saints are not worthy of the glory and honor. Instead, it shows that the holy people are worthy of honor and glory of God's goodness.
Heb. 6:12 - the author teaches us to be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Heb. 13:7 - we must imitate the faith of our faithful leaders. We pray for her intercession and veneration for his sanctity.
James 5:10-11 - James teaches us to take heart from the examples of the prophets and Job, the suffering endured.
1 Peter 2:17 - Peter teaches us to honor all men, love of brotherhood, fear God, honor the emperor. Not living with Christ in heaven deserve the honor? Catholics believe they do, and honor the holidays, as well as honor those who live by the celebration of his birthday.
Gen. 19:1 - Lot reveres the two angels in Sodom, bowing himself with his face on the floor.
Gen. 42:6 - Joseph's brothers bow before Joseph with the face to the ground. This is worship, not worship.
Exodus 28:2 - is especially important to honor the religious leaders. Holy garments of Aaron to give dignity and honor.
Lev. 19:32 - we must also honor "the face of an old man." When the elderly die in Christ, we must continue to honor them, because death does not separate from us or the love of Christ.
1 Sam. 28:14 - Saul bows before Samuel with his face to the ground in reverence.
2 Chron. 32:33 - Hezekiah was honored at his death. We honor our brothers and sisters in the Lord.
Lord. 44:1-2 - we must give praise and honor to whom the Lord apportioned great glory. This is our family in Christ.
      Pictures and statues
Deut. 4:15 - from this verse, Protestants say that since he saw "no way" the Lord, do not burden the pictures of him.
Deut. 4:16 - of course, early in the history of Israel is forbidden to make images of God because God is not revealed himself yet visible "in the form of any shape."
Deut. 4:17-19 - Therefore, the Israelites had not yet represented God revealed, that might be tempted to worship him as a beast, bird, reptile or fish, which is a common mistake of the times.
Exodus 3:2-3; Dan 7:9, Matt. 3:16, Mark 1:10, Luke 3:22, John 1:32, Acts 2:3 - later, however, we see that God revealed Himself in visible form (as a dove, fire, etc.).
Deut. 5:8 - God's commandment "thou shall not encumber an image" is entirely connected to the worship of false gods. God does not prohibit images to be used in worship, but forbids the images to be worshiped.
Exodus 25:18-22, 26:1,31 - for example, God orders the making of the image of the cherubim of gold. This heavenly image, of course, is not adored by the Israelites. However, the picture has their minds and call a supernatural God.
Num 21:8-9 - God also commands the making of the bronze serpent. The image of the bronze serpent is not an idol to be worshiped, but an article that raises the spirit to the supernatural.
I Kings 6:23-36, 7:27-39, 8:6-67 - Solomon's temple contains statues and images of cherubim cherubim, lions and oxen. God does not condemn these images that were used in worship.
2 Kings 18:4 - it was only when people started to worship the statue did incur the wrath of God and the king destroyed it. The command prohibits the use of images to tax applies only to the false worship of those images.
1 Chron. 28:18-19 - David Solomon is the plan for the refining of gold altar with images of cherubim of gold. These images were used in the Jews most solemn place of worship.
2 Chron. 3:7-14 - the house was lined with gold elaborate cherubim carved in wood and coated with gold.
Ezekiel. 41:15 - Ezekiel describes imposed images in the temple has carvings of cherubs appear. These are similar to the images of angels and saints in many Catholic churches.
Col. 1:15 - the only image of God that Catholics worship is Jesus Christ who is the "image" (Greek "Eikon") of the invisible God.

  10. Joey says:

Also increased Catholic (I'm an atheist), but didn't understand everything. They made a big deal "First Communion", which were practically worship the Virgin Mary. My mom made me go to confession every week in order to "cleanse" myself, but even after he confessed my sins to a priest I didn't feel better. At the time I went to college I swore to myself that I would never go to mass again. I hated it.

  11. Humberto M says:

Honey: In Catholicism the Pope is seen as the "father enlightened" and replacing the authority of the Bible. Therefore, a Pope decided that priests should not be married even though it is not biblical. This is hypocritical because the "first pope", Peter was a married man. The priests see themselves as mediators between you and God and what they are supposed to confess to them so they can pray for you to receive forgiveness.
The reality is that Catholicism was born when the Roman Emperor Constantine the Babylonian merged paganism with Christianity. Jesus is your flag, but pagan customs in everyday practice.
That's the long and short of it.
      Cheers,
Mr. H on Catholic beliefs. "

  12. daljack -a girl says:

Catholic priests have never been allowed to get married …. in the Bible when Jesus told the Apostles to leave everything and follow him …. Catholics interpret to mean that families do not ….
Catholics believe the priest is like a "go between them and God ….. so when they do not confess their sins to a priest, but to God through the priest.
Do not worship the statues again …. a lot of Catholicism is the external signs and symbolism …. not worship the images of your children you have in your wallet or hang on your wall of …. statues are only to help visualize Jesus.
I do not think we ever really understand Catholicism so it's probably good that you are no longer a Catholic.
Just a note … Catholics are Christians …. A Christian is someone who believes and follows the teachings of Jesus Christ.

  13. Luteyboo says:

    Here are their responses:
      1) Preists devoted entirely to the Church. 24 hours are the mediators and counselors and other things, that is, only the wives on the road.
      2) One of the many reasons to go to Catholic confession is that the Bible says we are to confess our sins to "men". No single men which means, of course, only Jesus / God, but men "ME-N. Meaning, obviously, more than one. Preists as successors of Jesus and Peter, are given the job.
      3) Nobody in the history of the Catholic Church has never said to worship a statue of Jesus or Mary.
Perception is one thing, the search for the truth before you believe the popular opinion is common sense.
Catholic 24 + years, never missed a mass.

  14. Bud Ugly says:

I'm not Catholic, but these are the Catholic interpretation of Scripture. Since we do not believe in them, it is good to have left the church.
PS-Catholics are also Christians. Its now Protestants.

  15. Midge says:

This post is a lie because no one had told him that the cult of Mary and the Church if it were for this time period you would understand. Please post your falsehoods elsewhere,

  16. TriciaG28 SPL Champions 07/08 says:

It is not the worship of Mary (or statue), to ask him to intercede on their behalf.
The priest is a conduit between you and God does not forgive you, God no.
The priests can not marry, because the church wanted to avoid what they considered church property goes to the family of priests.

  17. azure says:

Catholics, like most Christian religions are not the whole truth. They changed the truth and manipulate, to better themselves (Pope / priests). Many of his teachings make no sense. You are very smart to start questioning and to find the truth yourself. I pray to God that you can find the truth and say that their thoughts and feelings. The Holy Spirit will declare the truth of all things for you.
The true church has been restored to the earth. The church that Jesus Christ is the head! It is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

  18. Oberon says:

a former Christian atheist …. and now I want to thank you for the questions that challenge the dogma that there are many, as you said, to believe

  19. ಠ__ಠ says:

    * Sigh *…
Catholics are Christians. Only some of the Protestants insist otherwise.
Catholic priests do not marry because the priests, brothers and other members of the clergy who dedicate their lives to God a vow of celibacy, there's a lot of symbolism to it, but much of it has to do with the maintenance of life focused on their faith and ministry. And yes, it has been like that for centuries.
Catholics believe in the use of a priest as intercessor for confession and mass, because the priest is destined to be the representative of Christ. Also, the confession to a priest is a very different thing to confess to God in his head … There is a little more accountability and guilt if you tell another living person a foot away from all the bad things you've done … is something that promotes not want to do things again. That, and the priest acts as a sort of counselor - depending on the problem, we can give you some spiritual guidance.
Catholics do not worship statues. The statues are no more similar to those they represent, but is designed to help you reflect on that person's life and example.
These questions get asked all the time, hence the sigh.

  20. joe the man says:

Why you have to deny the faith of another person in order to strengthen her own?

  21. moosemos says:

The Catholic church is all about herself! Have "Approved Methods Developed and Control Persons" maintained by the Rolling $ $ $ $ and people ignorant of Christ Plan of Salvation! The history of this Organization through Time Includes; Murder, Rape, incest, pedophilia, fraud, indulgences, the counterfeiting of the Scriptures and Antiquities, and Believer Persecución Inquisition (and this is only the pope, cardinals, bishops and priests), international wars and the political revolutions! Go to the library and read the "History" of which I speak. U see if you can find a copy of the Bible Handbook Halley was SHOT UR MIND! Juan

  22. Sun Eagle says:

    Is not it sad

  23. meissen9 says:

They used to be able to marry until I was banned at some time in 1500.
The priests have to be the saints of the type of conduit. But keep asking questions that go in the right direction.

  24. Solidarność? Solidarity! says:

humm .. sorry you feel compelled.
I'm allready Shure parents gave all his reasons when he left the church. So why go there again.
About the confession, the priest is just a screen. Jesus himself is working in the soul of the people, the person of the priest is not important, will confesioon too.
But if you ever talk to about their sins, as at the point where a crowd would be automatically excommunicated from the church, because they have a vow of secrecy.
The Church is not only useless rules and dogma, to recall the message of Divine Mercy for all mankind, that God is mercy and compassion on them, and "the greater the sinner who has more right to Mercy." And remember how Pope Pius XII entrusted all humanity to the Sacred Heart of Jesus during the Second World War, and later John Paul confided everything to the Sacred Heart of Mary, who turns in his praise of all praise to God …. so I guess it does not matter now, but my point is that Catholics are really concerned about all mankind, climate Catholic or not, because that is what Jesus wants.

  25. Chippy v1.0.0.3b says:

first off the prayer to Mary is wrong as the bible says its bad to communicate with the dead.
second, the rosary is a mistake because the Bible says not to pray repetitious prayers.
third of the teaching of the trinity is not correct because there is nowhere in the Bible.
Who cares what they think. using the potato as a political leader, whose wealth has more then thousands and thousands of people out there, many of whom are starving. (tithing Catholics to this man who keeps the money).
and also say that man can whip the sins of another man. (confession).
sorry, but so many practices that are unbiblical so its funny how someone can really be a Catholic and I believe the Bible, at the same time.

  26. superlat says:

I am not a Christian but I respect * the statue of Mary and Jesus, Mary and Jesus, because they are Sadhus and Saints.
I wouldnt mind if someone would confess so kind as to listen to me. I think it's a wonderful service to humanity to listen to someone without judging them.
Being a monk means devoting all their energies to God and humanity is not a penance distraction. It I agree, but it's a small sacrifice for humanity.
I do not know the Catholic church, but anyone who is trying to serve God sincerely respect him.
