What is your opinion of Catholics call themselves Christians?
I know we all have the same God, but their worship of idols, the pope and the value of tradition on the writing concerns me. Of course I love all people, but I do not like or agree with them, and pray for those who are always going to see the true light, but is it fair that all these "Christians" when they also pray the Virgin and saints, so against the teachings of Christ?
There is no such thing as a non-Catholic Christian.
The only idol worship that follows is one of the Protestants who worship the Bible as the Word of God, when we who wrote the New Testament that Jesus is the Word of God who worship what you do not know the Bible and we worship what we know Jesus. You know nothing of our Lord and nothing in the Bible.

the New Testament is the story of the foundation and early formation of the kingdom of God / heaven on earth of the Catholic Church. First, Catholicism is the oldest Christian denomination. I have no problem with them who called themselves Christians, because they are.

Catholics do not pray "to" Mary and the saints … pray "with" them, as intercessors before God. Sort of like asking a friend to put in a good word for you when you're trying to get a job. Have you ever asked a friend to pray for you? It's the same sort of thing.

Encyclopedias, lexical criteria and basics of logic dictates that Christians and Catholics are the largest denomination in that.
The thoughts of some of the fundamentalist sects that make up their own definitions on the basis of a lot of misconceptions and lack of academic knowledge as to who or who is or is not Christian is really an issue irrelevant, moot point.

Well, let's see.
We do not worship "idols", or the Pope.
We do not "value" tradition over Scripture. We take account of the Sacred Tradition - the teachings of Christ as given to the Apostles (cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:15) - and the Holy Scriptures to be the deposit of faith.
Their concerns, if true, would be valid - I guess - whether to establish itself as the arbiter of who is and is not a Christian, regardless of how you manage to find someone else's personal relationship with Christ without his place of worship is something we have to prove to me to be credible. But as it is, their concerns are unfounded.
With all due respect, is making judgments based on false premises.
My thoughts on Catholics call themselves Christians? Hello, Catholics are Christians * *. And as a convert (a former Baptist, born again and spirit-filled) I find nothing in the current Catholic doctrine is not Scripture. (There are a lot of misconceptions about it out there, however.) If I had said it would be expected that the cult of Mary, or any of the other things that seem to think we can do, believe me, honey - that would been up and out the door in a flash.
Now the choice is yours, in the words of a sister in Christ, or continue believing what you believe about us to the point of rejecting the idea of calling my sister. Anyway, I will continue in prayer. You are most welcome to e-mail me.
I wonder what kind of Christian you are, BC unless orthodox or gnostic, that I doubt post, regardless of how that practice is a branch of Catholicism. We do not worship idols or the Pope.
