What to think of a Catholic priest who teaches Zen meditation?

Sounds like a very good priest who is smart enough to know that Zen is not a religion, is a philosophy, and there is nothing contrary to a Christian the practice of zen meditation.
In fact, it's a great way to relieve stress and decreased emotional disregulation. It is psychologically healthy. Cognitive therapists are starting to use techniques taught in the Zen as a conscience, to treat a variety of mental illnesses with a pretty impressive success rate. I would say that this priest is doing his best to help their parishoners.

Zen is short for Zen Buddhism. It's sometimes called a religion and sometimes called a philosophy. Choose the term you want, but simply does not matter.
as meditation taught in Buddhism is primarily about the discovery of who we really are, which goes far beyond our mortal body.

Very open and definitely someone who is close to the divine that can not only adhere to their own religious beliefs, theology and philosophy, but added a spiritual practice for your life that helps them in their own spiritual practice that actually comes from another religion (after all, is still in Catholic belief, only by a certain type of meditation).
Actually I know many people who do this. Take a practice of a religion, and adopt it and mold it to fit their own spiritual practice. They do not change their beliefs, theology, philosophy … and just to add a practice they consider beneficial to them spiritually.

At first it was confusing because they are so different. but I believe that meditation is like prayre and revitalizes the body and soul. cool.

that was in poor condition and should not be a priest. How do you like a mechanic who fixes your car using chewing gum?

  12. Stone says:

is considered sacriligious? I mean, with Zen meditation, do you worship Buddha? (ps Buddha is the god of Buddhism?) lol sorry for not responding), but against their Christian beliefs tell me that it's okay
