Why Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church and calls Can Where?
The perception is that the servant of God was excommunicated by incorporating indigenous African practices in the Catholic mass and the mass exorcism performed. My problem is unwelcome Understanding practices in Africa and the notion of mass exorcism. I welcome answers that will explain the reasons that can make a figure in the Vatican to be excommunicated, and finally someone to dump their beliefs and decide to marry.

The archbishop was excommunicated for using his position in direct disobedience to the Catholic Church. The teaching of the Church teaches that priests can not marry. He chose to marry. The Church told him that he could no longer function as a priest or bishop, because of this. He chose to try to ordain bishops. This was in complete defiance of the Church. Also lead to great confusion among the Catholic faithful. He ordered the bishops are not really bishops and therefore can not order priests. Any priest who tried to order would be invalid and could not validly administer the sacraments. People want to receive the Sacraments of these priests claim to know would be separated from the true Church. The Church defines this as the schism - breaking with the authority of the true Church. By excommunicating the Bishop of the Church is simply to make public and formal than the bishop himself has already decided. He is no longer in communion with the Catholic Church. Actually excommunicated himself. The church has just made the official pronouncement of it.
From what I read in wickipedia history shows that it did not have a very important virtue of Jesus. Jesus taught us by example to "submit to others and so fulfill the law of Christ." The bishop seemed to feel that he knew more than God's anointed leadership of the Church.
While I agree with him wholeheartedly that there is no way too simple liberalism and even heretical teaching, especially among American Catholics, but I can not agree with his method of challenging the Magisterium in Rome and teaching even Jesus himself about being under authority.
As I understand the case, Archbishop Milingo acted outside the limits of the beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church. The exorcisms might have called more than a belief in the Trinity (standard procedure) and married. Everyone knows it's a big no-no for Catholic priests and a bishop is still a priest.
In a careless word, the way it all works excommunication is:
* A person has to willingly do something that is very basic anti-Catholic beliefs (or certain parts of the Code of Canon Law). The person also must have done this publicly while claiming to speak as a representative of the Catholic Church.
* The Vatican issues a formal notice of censure, tell the person what they are doing wrong, why it is wrong and what to do if they are to avoid excommunication. (See URL below for this case.)
* If the person refuses to cooperate and continues to act in the way he or she did before, excommunication becomes valid as a matter of canon (church) law.
But contrary to popular belief, not all excommunications are final. There is a process and how a person back into communion with the Catholic Church. From what I've seen and read, most people who get to this point do not want it not to bother.
Whether or not you agree with the actions bishop Milingo, was charged as a bishop with a solemn duty to defend Catholic doctrine and dogma. What he did goes against some of those already decided not to change its course.

Milingo has joined the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (commonly known as the Moonies), and therefore can not well be considered a more Catholic.
The automatic excommunication happens when Catholics committed certain offensive. This happens as soon as the crime was committed.
The Archbishop was automatically excommunicated when he ordained bishops without papal approval.
The Archbishop can not appeal, but can confess and repent of their disobedience and welcome back to church.

There is no appeal. There is no tolerance of animist beliefs in the Catholic Church and zero tolerance for social movements such as Liberation Theology (google the word). The goal is total control of the church by a conservative male hierarchy based on the practices that are resistant to adaptation. I do not know the bishop of the speaker, so I can not comment further.

There is no appeal process. Excommunication is not taken lightly and not made arbitrarily. If eventually he was excommunicated, then there was no number of early warnings and a chance to explain. If he does not conform to church doctrine, then there must be a Roman Catholic. You can not use the trademark "RC", then simply add in their own things.
