Why fight against the Catholic Church Victims of pedophile priests in the court? Why not the next victims?
I am not being anticatholic, exactly - I used to be Catholic, and if I was willing to go to church, it would probably be there. Things like this makes people ignore any moral authority of the church have said.
That side of Jesus? Jesus to hide?
- What do you think of the Catholic Church to conceal evidence of the pedophile priests?
- Why the Catholic Church View of fetuses so much concern, but not do the same for the victims of the priests?
- What is the Catholic Church's position Seal Re Confesionario For Pedophiles / pedophile priests?
- The Catholic Church has made the shameful pedophile priests excommunicate?
- Why have the authority figures in the Catholic Church allowed pedophile priests to continue their illegal acts?

It is the struggle against the Catholic Church or to defend the victims against their own guilt? This is not the same thing.
I know its an unpopular thought for many but not all victims are telling the truth. Especially when the defendants' pockets are deep.
The priests themselves own nothing of material value to pay a civil suit. Please consider this and not be so quick to believe everything you hear.
I can tell you unequivocally that 98% of the complaints of the Indians have against the church are all blatent lies so that they can get more money by suing the church that has no recourse about them, we have perverted preasts had some bad, but nothing like the theft of taxpayers' money that natives still rob us because dam lazy to go out and get a real job.
Can you cite a case where this has happened? Because in my diocese, the bishop always side with the victims, and so did his predecessor. Every priest, sister, deacon or any person associated with the church here is surrendered to the authorities immediately if one considers that a child is abused in any way. This has always been the policiy here and, therefore, very few abusers came here because they knew they could not be allowed to hide in the priesthood.
Since the scandals in the national media in 2002, the official position of the United States Catholic Bishops has been to support the victims and their families, and to cooperate fully with civil authorities. I understand that some bishops are not fully compatible with this - the Diocese of Orange comes to mind - it would be interested in reading about the case you cite - when, where, so evidence is always good.
Where there is admission of guilt, the Church should confine itself to resolve the damage and bring the guilty priest until the eye of the law. When there is a credible case, it only makes sense for the Church to fight the charges in court.
U.S. by law, all defendants are innocent until proven guilty - why should it be different for priests? They are not automatically guilty - if in fact the Church just to the side of the victims who are open to abuse by frivolous lawsuits and losing the support of their clergy (who are almost volunteers and are entirely dependent on Church).
<<Why is the Catholic Church fighting the victims of pedophile priests in the court? Why not the next victims?>>
Looking from a strictly legal perspective, everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty and entitled to proper legal defense.
One should only be judged guilty when establishing guilt beyond a reasonable doubt benefit.
Now, looking from a strictly moral perspective, I mentioned a reasonable doubt. Prudance, a Christian virtue, requires us to give the benefit of the doubt (the defendant), unless it can establish guilt beyond the benefit of the doubt.
Also, try to think how God thinks. Nobody is beyond the sins of God's ability to forgive. God wants everyone to repent of their sins and seek God's mercy and forgiveness. God does not seek the conviction (whether terrestrial or spiritual) of pedophile priests. Find your repentance, so God can forgive, not condemn.
The Church, as God, seeking the repentance of sinners, not condemn them. That is why the Church - while it sympathizes with the victims - also, and rightly remain sympathetic to the priests who allegedly pedohiles.
Try to be more like the church, more like God. No seasoning on the condemnation of these pedophile priests. Pray for them. Pray for his repentance, that these priests receive what they really need.
Jesus taught: "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."
Looked at another way, to teach others to be some tough days themselves harshly treated.
<<I'm Not anticatholic, exactly–I often Catholic, and if he was willing to go to church, probably would there.>>
Jesus also taught, "Why do the spinto that is in thy brother's eye, but do not see the beam that is in your own eye?"
You are not Catholics, or prepared to go to the toilet. . . So who are you to criticize anyone?
<<Stuff As this makes people ignore any moral authority of the church says have.>>
Things like that make their ilk ignore the moral authority of the Church. My style is my church - in difficult times, not for them.
<<Who part with Jesus? Jesus hiding ???>>
Is not it obvious? Jesus came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. Jesus is on the side of the sinners, because it needed it the most.
And what does "Jesus to hide? Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. There is no evidence anywhere of Jesus "hide" anything or anyone, and who or what you hide / about?
well lets see
if we didn't fight "we knew the length and thousands of allogations"
Now she must fight "we mean and against the victims"
I'd say maybe 1 in every 3000 claim is actually true. the rest are people trying to get free money
I have known people who have been approached by lawyers who have told these people to go ahead and file cases of abuse, even if you do not remember the abuse because a priest who was responsible for abuses in his parish for a short period of time the same time it is and be sure to make some money because they just SURE that they were battered, but blocked it from memory.
To the devout theistic Abrahamic, anything that might undermine the saving of souls must be fought, whether it is true.
There were legitimate victims of sexual abuse by clergy, but there are also people who make false claims just to cash in. For this reason, the Church has to defend itself.
God bless.
