Why so many sects of Christianity appear to have hatred or Disrecpect Maria?

First, let me give a little background, I was raised Irish Catholic — then as I got older in the beauty and logic of paganism and Eastern religions. I guess you could call Christian — in terms of Loosest. I believe in God and Jesus, but do not buy into the hatred, the presumption, or "holy than you" attitude. I think it may be many ways of God. Who am I to judge?
However, raised Catholic, I was given the gift of having a woman, a feminine divine, to turn to. Mary is not God, no. But it is a comfort and a female role model — as a Christian version of the pagan goddess.
Why so many Protestant / Baptist / Evangelical religions ouright hatred or aversion, a female saint? What is the problem, really? Why do so many of them deny that she was the mother of Jesus even though she gave birth to him, raised him, and was favored by God?
A sacred feminine, like Mary, or the pagan gods, Christian conservatives are threatening? WHY?

    I am an ex-Protestant.
As a Methodist, not hatred or disrespect for Mary. We just did not think much on it, except at Christmas. After that, nobody spoke about it.
Fundamentalists believe that Catholicism has put Mary in a level of worship. Of course they are wrong about this, but many are not interested in knowing the truth.
There's a lot of writing backup of the veneration of Mary, if we look at Scripture as a whole. You have to read the Old and New Testament as a book. I understand that the Old and New foreshadows the New is firmly built on the former.
Mary is the New Eve. Such an amazing thing. She is part of NEPAD, therefore. Eva said "no" to God and Mary said "yes." His "yes" opened humanity to salvation through Christ. Very special and deserves a place of honor.

His basic thesis is weak, so the question is not based on fact, not true!
The truth is that all Christian denominations deeply respect Mary, because she had to be beautiful, especially if God chose for all mankind to be the one through which you bring the savior of the world, his only Son Jesus.
That said, Mary is merely human and the Catholic religion exhalts to a place that is equal to Christ, who is not the way to God.
Many mistakes are corrected on Mary, if you read the scriptures of truth.
For example, Mary was a virgin not always to be recorded in the Bible after Jesus was born, who "knew" Joseph and Jesus had more earthly brethren.
As to his Christianity, it is best to start reading your Bible to know the true God and stop dabbling in occult practices to lead you away from Christ.
Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life no man comes to the Father except through me."

Allen is an excellent example of why non-Catholic Christians look down at the primary level. enarrow world where there is no place for a woman in the church, except a man sitting quitely walk. mary who see Jesus as a threat, and the women they see as a threat to men. tant to understand the concept of feminine divinity. Church tought in some cases thousands of years that women are second or third category.

  4. G says:

Sweety, I think it was "very encouraged", and I'm not Catholic. She is the best model for the woman who has lived in second place to Jesus Christ, and for them. Your right of Mary is given a bad rap, and a lack of understanding of their role has had its losses. Men can use a lot of women like her, but unfortunately not the case any paticular group of people, but the containment due to inaccuracies on their role in the affairs. This is the woman, but said, "I know that to me according to your word," and accually charge of the free will of God, believing to get the Christ. I know I never met a woman so incredible in my life.

  5. Arf Bee says:

It is a common mistake among Catholics to think that other non-Catholic Christians have a hatred or disrespect for Mary herself. But that is not generally the case though.
The controversy lies in the doctrine of the RC Church for the devotion to Mary more than God. This is obvious and evident, when the faithful say the rosary and pray to Mary 53 times [!], But to God the Father once at the beginning of it. And once the Trinity. Why so often? And why pray again?
The discussion is prolonged when the Catholics insist - as they have been indoctrinated - that Mary intercedes on behalf of the person of prayer, when in fact the Bible says that one can pray to God directly and not through any other person. And even worse when other people [ "holy"] and to be prayed!
So goes the endless - often heated - debate between the two sides of this issue … ad nauseum.
      Peace be with you.

  6. Wise Old Man says:

Mary was chosen to be the earthly mother of Jesus because of his lineage and character was acceptable.
She did not have their own sanctity, nor was she any kind of God.
Therefore, it is not worthy of worship.
Only one true God Jehovah is worthy of it.
While appreciating the true Christians of Mary, is only a part.
It was just a good woman who followed God's truth to the extent of its capacity and was chosen to be the mother of the Messiah.
True Christians also noted the association with "the cult of Mary 'to false pagan religions of the time.
Therefore, whether we pray or worship of Mary, in fact, following the teachings of demons.

I am a Christian woman. I am not threatened by Mary. The Bible says she was a woman blessed. Nothing more on the lines of the deity. Mary is dead, like everything else in the Bible, except Jesus. Why pray to her? It is the practice of necromancy. The Bible says that nobody can come to the Father except through the Son, Jesus Christ. Not going to the Father through Jesus and his mother Mary and some of Earthly Saints. Mary was an impressive example of a servant of God. Is an example. Is dead and in heaven. Pray to Jesus. You are the Father if you believe in Jesus Christ.

  8. Foxfire says:

Christians do not hate Mary, denouncing the Roman Catholic Church doctrines which raise about godhood.
There are documents approved by the Vatican, which state that will save the world, she is Queen of Heaven, Jesus can not refuse any request made of him, who was born without sin, and so on.
      Pure blasphemy.
We honor Mary as the physical mother of Jesus, but we also understand that he was a sinner as the rest of us, and that she needed a savior as much as any other sinner.
Scripture says that God is no respecter of persons, which means that if you, Moses, Peter, John, Mary and Noah stood before Him, He does not show favoritism. That would be all alike.
And as for "saints," all believers who have accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord are "saints" and none of them will take place over another.
As a pagan "god", we are told by God not have other gods (or goddesses) in our lives, so in obedience to his commandments, we reject anyone or anything portrays himself as a " ; god or goddess. "
I hope this answers your questions?

  9. Jeni2 says:

O Mary veneration in the church ceiling is idolatry.
Mary was a great woman of the Bible. Admire everything she wants. pray with her and her religion? never.

  10. FearEmbo says:

I would ask that the same type of Christian is my mom, who is not afraid to open their minds a little … So I respect that. As to why some Christian denominations apparently show respect for Mary, I do not know, but I'm sure some will answer.

  11. shaolt20 says:

Mary was not divine. Even the angels are divine. Protestant Christians do not hate or dislike her, not only his honor in the same way that do not honor Moses or Paul or Peter. Just the honor of Christ.

  12. Tellin' U Da Truth! says:

It is not necessarily hatred or disrespect because she was his mother. It is more a theological disagreement than anything else. Everyone has a mother. I do not why everyone is so with respect to liquidation.

  13. sourbott says:

Babtized as I was Catholic, but Protestant practice. Well, other Christian sects do not really disrespect or hate Mary. It's just that she is not a god, therefore, not to pray with her. The first commandment says that you do not have other gods, but I mean Comon, Catholics worship Mary as a god, but obviously she did not. She is the mother of Jesus, however. Another thing is that some people say that the reason we pray is because it sends the message to God himself. But I mean Comon, we can pray directly to the Lord Himself. I do not want to offend you in any way, but this is just my point of view when it comes to this subject.

  14. parkituse j says:

Mary is to be respected, it did have and raise the son of god, do not forget Maria Jesus calls his Savior.

  15. tom b says:

I do not think that Christians do not like Mary the mother of Jesus. I think the problem is to have the majority of Catholic Christians to pray for the intercession of Mary and not biblical. The Bible says that Jesus the only intercessor.

  16. Northsta says:

Protestant Christians do not hate Mary, nor deny that she gave birth to Jesus. However, many Protestants have found that many Catholics attribute too much to Mary and that object.
Some Catholic doctrines that are opposed to the Protestants because they are not biblical are:
      1) Mary is not divine.
      2) She is not a co-redemptrix.
      3) She does not live a life completely without sin.
      4) The Immaculate Conception is not biblical.
. . . Do not confuse this with the virgin birth. That's biblical.
. . . The Immaculate Conception refers to the birth of Mary.
      5) The sentence should not be given to Mary or other saints.
. . . Prayer should be offered directly to God.
It is not a case of feeling threatened. This is a case of objection to nonbiblical doctrines.

  17. R S says:

Mary is a woman who blessed God has chosen for his son gave birth to Jesus, but it is not God. She was found to be a vessel for God to bring Jesus into the world to sacrifice for our sins.
If this means that there will be no problem.
say for instance a person wants to go to a doctor for any illness. he has to go to the doctor and check with him alone.
If you go to your mother, how can she be able to diagnose and treat your illness.
well, if we understand this clearly, no doubt.
Jesus took all our sins on the cross, died, was placed in the tomb on the third day, ascended into heaven, and returned as the Holy Spirit.

  18. Father K ™ says:

WHY? Ignorance of their own history of the Church. Even Martin Luther and John Calvin as he confessed his Theotokos and ever virgin. "

  19. SirWilli says:

…. no to hate as you suggest … The Roman Church has had its "own" a place that the Bible has never authorized or documented how ever … The Roman Church as created an "iconic structure" around "your" with statues, chanting prayers and requests unScripitual "her" to intercede for his followers … completely contrary to all Scripture.
"They" refer to as the Mother of God … completely contrary to Scripture and have created a "thing" called the "Assumption of Mary "…( which in itself should give you an idea of how a scriptural is GREAT) … Read the Scriptures … Learn Gods Word, not rants, dogmas, doctrines, and the bulls of the Roman Church, which over the centuries, have diluted the Deity of Christ to rise up to their "religion" and religious gymnastics … May God have mercy on the Church of Rome for its unScripitual "religion."

  20. Stefany S says:

Why? Because they have nothing to fear sacredly female. They have been brainwashed to believe that it will destroy them, make them less manly.
And BTW, there's no such thing as a "pagan god" in terms that there is only one. :) Dion Fortune words do not speak for the whole of paganism.

  21. Angel Eyes says:

Mary is a model for all mothers and deserves respect

  22. Troubado says:

I am not sure that you get that Mary is a divine feminine.
She was not a deity (but it has one)
She was a normal girl who obeys God's laws (which was a Biblical women) was due to what Scripture says.
Saint is someone who follows Jesus (not someone special)
Christian denies that it was not Mary the Mother of Jesus … She was the Mother of the Savior (Jesus the man) God, no part of his being.
She found favor with God because she was a dutiful wife, but then again …
Noah found favor with God and that is why he and his family escaped the flood. (No one puts on a shelf and read to him ..
David species also found favor with God, once again no one takes you around his shoulders and felt that his vision on the walls in cake dough and bright lights at night.
Mary was the Mother of Jesus (the Son of Man), but was only an obedient girl who obeyed God.

  23. Prophet John of the Omega says:

THE LORD GOD IN THE BOOK TRUE LIFE IN GOD revealed that many of them are in serious error as to say that the Virgin Mary is a normal mother. Other churches that are in error because of grave disobedience to the commandments of God, saying, Peter, feed my lambs, take care of my sheep and feed my sheep. Thus, Peter is the one that sits in the chair of the Pope. And because of the disobedience of these churches are separated from the Chair of Peter and divided the Christian church, the Body of Christ. Moreover, the Lord Jesus Christ in this new revelation says my sacred heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary are one and inseparable. Thiis is how the Lord Jesus Christ is the Bridegroom and every one of us is his girlfriend and their hearts are united, the hearts of the bride and a groom. Therefore, if that is true, how much more is the unity of Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Evens, the Lord Jesus Christ said I am the heart of my mother, Mary. Moreover, the Lord Jesus Christ in this book, revealed in the Bible that the Holy Spirit inspired Elizabeth to say I am honored to be visited by the Mother of the Lord. Thus, by this revelation, the Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Mother of all and also the Queen of Heaven, as shown in Revelation 12 (Bible). Similarly, the Lord Jesus Christ said to hail MI MADRE through prayer of the Rosary is for my sake. It is because the Lord Jesus Christ said that to honor my mother and also to honor their peoples. Thank God, fear God, praise God, glorify God, honor God, love God and worship God.
