An understanding that all Muslims are not Catholic Christians?

It seems that most of the stereotypes of Christians among Muslims is that all the cult of Mary, have liturgical worship, follow the pope, and adopted the Crusades.
  Why is this?
Why do not realize that the majority of Protestant Christians?

Yes, we are more than just used to sects:-p
I guess because the Pope and the Vatican.
That's what they see on the news, as 99% of the time, like most of what you see of "Islam" on the news of terrorist acts is "inspired" in Islamic teachings.

know. How much do you really know about Islam? Do you realize that has nothing to do with the killing, violence, suicide, war, terrorism? What do they really know about us?

His ego / power trip for them as they are low on self-esteem and have nothing to do but kill for God to give them 72 virgins when they die !!!!????

Well, looks like it has some stereotypes of your own - especially regarding the idea that the cult of Mary (not) or that the Church adopted the Crusades (no).

    Absolutely, they are not ignorant.

  14. drampor says:

It is a well known fact that all Muslims of all sects strongly believe that all Christians are Roman Catholic. French ambitions to be considered in all things of Catholicism generated with the exception of a direct reference to the relationship that provides the book. LOL, that no man deceive you with the logical and sensible dialog!

  15. lily says:

ok I feel the need to correct you, since I am a Roman Catholic …
We do not worship Mary, God should be worshiped, Mary is honored and prayed for his help and guidance … one can not assume things, if you're not Catholic, and if you have not really studied the Catholic faith under the help of a Roman Catholic taditional, then you do not know the truth about him … you can not learn of the Catholic faith from a Protestant viewpoint, that's hypocrisy …
and I'm not even going to start with your comment Crusades …

You need to work on their own stereotypes.
+ The majority of Christians are Catholics +
According to Adherents.com, there are 2.1 billion Christians in the world. 1.1 billion of them are Catholic. http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Ad
+ Mary and the Saints +
Catholics do not worship Mary or the saints.
Catholics share the belief in the Communion of Saints with many other Christians, including Orthodox, Anglican, Episcopal, Methodist and Church.
The Communion of Saints is the belief that all saints are intimately related in the Body of Christ, a family. When one dies and goes to heaven, do not go to this family.
Everyone in heaven or on their way to heaven are saints. You, me, my late grandmother, Mary the mother of Jesus, and Mother Teresa.
As part of this family, you can ask your family and friends here on earth to pray for you. Or you can ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Andrew, or his late grandmother in heaven to pray for you.
Prayer to the saints is communication, not worship.
The Hail Mary prayer simply recites passages from the Bible (the Word of God) and asks Mary to pray for us:
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you. (These are the words that the angel Gabriel told Mary, a biblical quotation.)
Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. (This is the cousin of Mary, Elizabeth's greeting, another quote from the Bible.)
Santa Maria, (The angel Gabriel said he was full of grace and Elizabeth said it was blessed.)
Mother of God (the Bible says that Mary is the mother of Jesus, God the Son)
Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. (A simple request to pray for us.)
      Amen.http: / / http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/pt4s
      + + The Crusades
Muslim armies had conquered much of northern Africa, Egypt, Palestine, Syria and Spain, which had been one of the most Christian in the world.
Thousands and possibly millions, of Christians died during this drive to bring the world under Islam.
The First Crusade was launched in 1095 by Pope Urban II to check the progress of the Muslims and regain control of the city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land.
I am sure that some atrocities were committed by both sides during this war, but for most people ruling was only a war.http: / / en.wikipedia.org / wiki / First_Crusa …
      + "Roman" Catholic +
The Catholic Church has consistently referred to herself as the "Catholic Church", at least from 107 AD, when the term appears in the writings of St. Ignatius of Antioch
The term "Roman" Catholic is fairly recent.
The new Anglican Church in England began using the term "Roman" in 1500 as one of the many forms of degrading and demonizing Catholics.
Catholics accepted this without protest adjective too late. Today, "Catholic" and "Catholic" are interchangeable terms. Both terms are even used in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
The term "Roman" neither increases nor decreases the faith, hope and love of the Catholic Church.
      + With love in Christ.

  17. Sierra Leone says:

Because, no matter who you are Catholic, Greek, Romain, Orthodox, etc etc. All Christians are Christians. For they are all equal, and will blame every Christian on earth to the cross as they have done in the past, and as always so. that's all I'll say about the Crusades.
How are we to blame the Muslims if they believe that the worship of Mary, when Christians believe that the love!? You should know now that no non-Catholic worship her.

  18. jinengli says:

are not, but they should be.

  19. shoby_sh says:

I guess it's the same prejudice that normal people have about Muslims.
we do not realize that there are different types of Muslims, just as they do not realize that there are different kinds of Christians.

  20. . says:

Yes we do … are Roman Catholics and then the other players or we know!

  21. Tu Nga says:

However, all Catholics and Protestants are Christians.
      All Shiihs and Sunni Muslims.
      All Hinayana and Mahayana Buddhists.
If you see large separation between the followers of that religion, then how would be more separation between followers of different religions.
So who can teach the believers of all religions on the unity of mankind?

  22. fagies says:

    i know
Yusuf Estes was a Protestant before

  23. Pokie™ Obama / Biden 08 says:

    If we realize that.
      thanks for the reminder.
Why Christians realize that not all Muslims are terrorists?
seems that most of the stereotypes of Muslims from Christians who want to kill all non-Muslims, worship the god of the moon, follow Bin Laden and abetting terrorism.
      Why is this?
Why not realize that most Muslims are normal people?
