Can a child born outside marriage be baptized?

In the Catholic Church is the baptism of a child born out of wedlock, let / practice? Any links to the teachings of the Vatican or the Pope's appointment would be greatly appreciated too!

Yes it may be, has nothing to do with the parents if the child is to become of the faith. My son was born out of "marriage" (I really hate that term), and was baptized 2 weeks ago!

Yes …. my two children were baptized and born out of wedlock …. be careful that the priest prolly try to convince you to get married.

Yes I just got my son baptized in the Catholic Church and her dad and I are not married … yet:) And also I'm Baptist and his father is Catholic. I do not think they have too many rules about these things. They want more to join your club!
