Basically, you vote for "pro-life" candidate, meaning that vote Republican. And the irony of this is that Republicans intended only attention to the "sanctity of life" until it leaves the uterus. I do not see how to reconcile "pro-life" with pro-war, anti-gun control, pro-capital punishment, etc., and not Bush just veto health care for sick children? Yes, all life is sacred until birth, and then all bets are off.
I will vote my conscience, which by the way, believes in the sanctity of all life, born and unborn. At this point, I have not decided who I'm leaning towards.
As mentioned earlier, the fight against abortion trumps all other combination of issues. And although I disagree with Republicans on every issue, as an economist, there should be those that are pro-life party. From a purely economic persepective logically can only vote for a Republican.
Do not mix politics with beloved fairy tales ….
Only by the coincidence that my moral views are parallel to those of the Catholic Church.
Unfortunately no political party has a platform in line with Catholic social doctrine.
The Catholic Church is pro-life in the broadest sense. This is often called a "consistent ethic of life".
This pro-life stance stresses the highest respect for the dignity of human life, including that of:
+ All persons opposing the unjust war and nuclear weapons. (closer to the Democratic platform)
+ The unborn to oppose abortion, in vitro fertilization, frozen embryos, stem cell research and cloning (closer to Republican platform)
+ The elderly, sick and dying in objecting to assisted suicide and euthanasia (closer to Republican platform)
+ Prisoners in opposing the death penalty (closer to the Democratic platform)
+ The poor and minorities in supporting social justice issues (closer to the Democratic platform)
Some Catholics enthusiastically anti-abortion and aligned with the Republican Party.
When you look at the picture, the Democratic Party supports more "Catholic" and therefore some issues for Catholics are Democrats.
Neither party follows all Catholic teachings.

With love in Christ.
Absolutely. I am a member of the church, because my beliefs Aline with him and because I see it's true.
It was the Vatican, but the Conference of U.S. Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
It will be impossible to satisfy the document from the USCCB. Democrats oppose the war in Iraq, support and assistance for immigrants, poor, needy and sick. Moreover, the Democrats oppose the death penalty.
However, Democrats in support of gay rights, abortion rights and stem cell research.
The Republicans pay lip service to the sanctity of life. They oppose abortion but support the war in Iraq to the tune of almost $ 2 trillion, and support the death penalty.
Republicans and Democrats to provide adequate solutions. Perhaps the best vote is a vote.
The Vatican does not have that authority. However, they are trying to influence their votes on certain issues like abortion, insisting that it is the most important issue on everyone else. The literature in the works is trying to argue that abortion is more important than any social or other affiliation of political parties together. No other matter may be considered, even if one opposes abortion, as such, and is willing to publicly oppose it by other means. This will be an issue to watch in the upcoming elections.
not me! I love being Catholic, all the wicked of church history, grandeur, and perversity. I like to watch but not participate.
Hi,
The Vatican and the Catholic church has a moral obligation to vote. They should say to be considered the conscience and vote according to the moral code of the Church teaches. The only problem here is that ultimately, if Giuliani, who is pro-abortion and gay marriage is running against Hillary Clinton, who has the same beliefs then what are you supposed to do? , Many Catholics will have to decide which are the lesser of two evils, so to speak.
The Church is reluctant to speak well to the Catholics and say it is a cardinal sin to vote for Hillary or Giuliani or a particular party. If that happens, many never vote for Catholics than any presidential candidate, the church could lose its tax status and would be back in the same situation as the ages 19 and 18 in RC not be trusted or elected at all.
Cheers,
Michael Kelly
A good Catholic, based on his teachings, the Pope speaks God's word. If God tells you to vote a certain way to do it.
