How can a person really kneel and confess to a Catholic priest?

The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."

Catholics also believe that when the sins of someone who not only hurt their relationshoip with God, but also damage to the whole church, the body of Christ. The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation not only reconciles the sinner to God, but with the whole church, including you and me.

Even the "cradle Catholic" and liturgist now, I can understand the confusion. Why we must confess to a priest when God forgives? God knows there have been times when I would have preferred to confess to a woman.
Try this idea on the size - as human beings have a need for connection and communication. Have you ever been so in love that can not stop talking about her beloved? Talking is not the sentiment, but the expression of it. Cuz hey, that's what we do. When you have a fight with someone you care, do you not get better than closing a debate?
So the confession (which is only part of the Sacrament of Reconciliation) is the outward expression of repentance and feel inside. In the Catholic Church, priests are the special representative of God who hears confessions and offer prayers for healing and absolution. It is not that priests are "better" or somehow "closer to God than the rest of us - is simply part of their function.
Kneeling is not more common, but when you kneel, are showing humilty God. It is an act of deference to the priest.

Churches usually after times to the sacrament of confession. When you receive your first communioin also have their first confession before then. Some churches are more liberal forms of confession that is more like a chat room. We always had a confessional - something like two telephone booths, dark, with a grid on the wall the priest could hear but not see through.
When you enter the confessional, to sit or kneel and say, "Excuse me father for I have sinned, it has been x days, weeks, months, years, since my last confession."
The priest will ask about your sins and then establish a penance, usually a number of our parents or the Hail Mary. need to be Catholic to go to Catholic confession, although the majority of priests are going to hear anything you say and help.

Let me guess you are one of the few Catholics in Brownsville. First the knees not the priest is God's knees. The priest is not God who acts in persona Christi, De Jesus sometimes spoke to a crowd, at one point only to his family of disciples, and sometimes to his apostles. He gave the apostles the power to forgive sins or not, everyone else said it must forgive. The apostles were the first bishops. As the church spread to the difficult for the bishop to assist all churches, whether in a house, cave, or elsewhere. The bishops were ordained priests and deacons to help. To this day the Bishop is still technically the pastor of every Catholic parish in his diocese. The power to forgive transmitted through apostolic secession. During the confession and the act of contrition which states that a person asks God for forgiveness. The confession can also take place face to face and can play anywhere privacy is assured. Once I went to confession in a field next to Wal-Mart. It was slow in the automotive department where he worked a notice of Pries had new tires sold in your car. Within months he was drowned in a kayaking accident.

is the realization of the sacrament of confession. because the priest is the entity closest to God in the land according to Catholics, confession to a priest can whip the sins penence delivery.

I am not Catholic, and not even know that people do not kneel before a priest during confession. Usually sit in a private cabin. The priest is in another place and sits and listens.
One reason that would never be a Catholic is the role of the priest. The Bible nowhere says that a priest who takes to be an intermediary between man and God.
